Week 2 - Fallout from Spring Stampede

WCW Nitro We get a video package recapping the previous night's Spring Stampede to start the show. Then we have security making sure the entrances to the arena are sealed off, commentary tells us it's an invited guests only party tonight. We're live from the Metro Center in Rockford, Illinois, as commentary welcome us to the show and we get our opening pyro. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary as glitter and streamers fall from the ceiling and the New Blood come out to the ring, lead by police, the arena filling with red balloons now. Jeez they really overdid it on these balloons, the whole ringside area is filled with balloons, and there seems to be an endless stream of ticker tape.  Russo gets a mic and has the music cut off finally, and says the fans can boo all they want, but it doesn't change the fact that he's better than them, and that this is what you call a New York party. He says last night the New Blood came into their own ...

Week 1 Recap

I'm not going to go into big details here, but seeing as there's going to probably be big gaps between posts, it'll help me and maybe others to reference this as reminders, so this will be going alongside each posts. WCW Nitro - Titles are vacated, veterans and younger talent divided between Millionaires Club and New Blood - DDP beats Luger after interference from Bagwell - Shane Douglas returns after having supposedly left the company to start a feud with Flair - Sting beats Sid after Wall puts him through a table at ringside - Jarrett beats Henning after interference from Shawn Stasiak - Flair beats Shane by DQ after Russo interferes, then post-match beatdown - ECW Champion Mike Awesome debuts attacking a crippled Nash with his crutch - White hummer storyline settled, Hogan sent to the hospital - DDP beats Sting after interference from Vampiro to earn a title show at Spring Stampede - Jarrett smashes his guitar over Kimberly's head by accident - NB beat d...

WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Well at least they explained it. Then we get to our...

Week 1 - The Road to Backlash Continues

RAW We're live from the National Car Rental Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Of course, good ol' J.R. and the King on commentary following the opening package and pyro to introduce us to tonight's show, and we kick things off with the People's Champion. Rock skips his usual shtick about coming back to Ft. Lauderdale and takes us back to last week, with special footage of Vince. He assures Vince it's not the footage of him reuniting with Shane, or the footage of him, the Chinese midgets, the 900 lb tuna and a pair of chopsticks, it's the footage of Vince and Rock both at their best. We go to footage from Thursday's Smackdown, which starts with Vince pulling Hebner our after Rock's got the cover on Road Dogg and lays him out. Rock goes right after Vince as he tries to leave and he gets laid out. Vince and family try to come to his aid but Rock grabs a chair from backstage and cracks Vince right in the head with it. Back to Raw, Rock says after he s...
