Week 2 - A Wrench in the McMahon Plans?

WWF Raw
We get right to the opening package and pyro to start this episode of Raw, live from the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania. Oh, so that's why Jarrett mentioned this on this same night's Nitro. Couldn't figure out why he had J.R. from here when he's an Oklahoman.

Whatever, anyways we start the night immediately with a match as Y2J takes on HHH. J.R. tells us HHH is fighting for the honor of his wife after what happened on last week's Smackdown. Jericho makes his way out and we cut to the back mid-entrance, where Shane is putting the belt around HHH's waist. Steph reminds her husband of what Jericho said about her last week, and he says he's going to show how a husband really avenges the honor of his wife. Then the three of head out to the ring.

Back to the ring, Jericho takes the mic from Lilian and welcomes us to Raw is Jericho. He says it seems Y2J is in hot water yet again. He says he was punished last week for calling Steph bargain basement slut, and also called her the filthiest, dirtiest, most disgustingly, skankiest, brutal, bottom feeding, trash bag ho he had ever (EVER!) seen in his life. He came out to apologize... to all the bargain basement sluts, and to all the filthy... well you get it, for even comparing them to the miserable, slime ball pig that is Stephanie. He apologizes for offending anybody, with the exception of Stephanie.

HHH comes out with Steph and Shane in tow visibly pissed off and Jericho exits the ring. He says it's valiant and touching that HHH has come down for the honor of his wife, but thinks if he really thinks she's special, and want to really impress her, then he should put his title on the line. HHH says he's on. Jericho says now that it's a title match, he says he invested in an insurance policy for this match and out comes the APA.

WWF Championship: Chris Jericho (w/ The APA) vs Triple H (c) (w/ WWF Women's Champion Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley & Shane McMahon)
HHH wastes no time trying to take down Jericho but he takes him down with a flying forearm, chops and rights into the corner, boots to the midsection. HHH reverses a whip into the opposite but Jericho moves as he follows and catches him with a drop toe hold, followed by a clothesline. Mounted rights by Jericho, chops and rights against the ropes, but HHH reverses a whip off of them and gets a boot into the midsection, but gets backdropped over the ropes to the outside. Jericho goes for a baseball slide but HHH moves and drops him with a right hand. Jericho's rolled back into the ring, but HHH climbs back onto the apron, Jericho sends him back down with a springboard dropkick out of the corner.
Jericho goes to suplex HHH back in from the apron but gets hung up on the top rope and taken out with a high knee as HHH re-enters the ring. HHH with boots in the corner, choking Jericho and hammering away with rights before the ref pulls him off. Jericho pulld over the apron as HHH nails some elbows to the chest and throat, then goes to send Jericho face first off the announce table, only for Jericho to block and send him face first, but eats a boot as HHH stumbles against the barricade. Jericho gets whipped hard into the ring steps and HHH rolls back into the ring to break the count. Back in the ring now HHH with a suplex out of the corner a knee drop, hooks the leg for a near fall.
HHH hammering away with mounted rights and Jericho's lip has been busted, now with rights and chops, sends HHH off the ropes but catches Jericho with a DDT. HHH goes up top but gets distracted talking to Stpeh and Shane, allowing Jericho to leap up and toss HHH back to the mat. Jericho ducks a clothesline,  sends HHH off the ropes into a back elbow. More shots in the corner, but HHH reverses a whip into the opposite, only to eat a boot, followed by a dropkick from the middle rope by Jericho, hooks the leg for a near fall.
HHH sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and goes for the Pedigree, but Jericho trips him up and goes for the Walls, but HHH fights hard against, so Jericho opts to catapult HHH into the corner instead, only for the ref to get caught in the middle. Jericho with a running bulldog off the ropes, then he goes up top, but Shane gets involved and crotches Jericho on the top rope. APA chase Shane  and her runs to the back. Meanwhile Steph tosses the title into the ring but Jericho nails him instead. He makes the pin, but the referee is out, until Hebner finally rushes to the ring to make the count, but HHH kicks out.
HHH sent off the ropes but catches Jericho with a facebuster. HHH realizes Hebner's here and gives him a shove. Hebner shoves back and HHH shoves him on his ass. Jericho nails a spinning heel kick and the Lionsault, and following a fast count by Hebner, Jericho wins the title in 8:38. God damn that pop.

Hebner quickly rushes past the APA who holds back HHH. Jericho leaves before HHH can get his hands on Jericho, leaving with APA by his side as HHH and Steph look on pissed and we go to commercial.

Back from break, we get a replay of what just happened, then cut to see HHH being held back by officials as he tries to get his hands on Hebner in the locker room, only for him and Chioda, the original referee in the match, to be dragged out of the room by HHH and Shane with Steph in tow. They make their way back out to the arena, HHH gets a mic and tells Hebner he knows he just screwed him, that he just jobbed him out. He says Hebner's been told before, then turns to Chioda, who reaffirms that he was the assigned official for the match, then has him look at the footage of the finish of the mach. HHH asks him for his unbiased opinion, and agrees that Hebner gave a fast count. Chioda is sent out of the ring.

HHH turns back to Hebner, and wants him, in front of all the idiots, to reverse the decision, that he's still the champion, that the match never took place, that the fans never saw anything, and the match stricken from the record books. Hebner screams no into the mic much to the delight of the crowd. They start to bully him again and Hebner takes the mic back, and says he'll reverse the decision on the condition that no one touches him as long as he's a WWF official. HHH says he's got a deal, and tells him to go get the title back from that sawed-off midget Jericho.

HHH starts yapping off as Jericho meets Hebner on the stage with mic in hand, and finally tells him to shut up. He points out the absurdity of having to pretend the match never happened, then says they can also pretend Steph hasn't slept with half the locker room. Jericho hands the title off to Hebner who rejoins the McMahon's in the ring and goes to give the title back to HHH, only to be ordered to put it around HHH's waist. HHH turns back to Hebner to talk about the deal they made, that he's a man of his word, and no one will touch him as long as he's employed... then of course fires Hebner and he and Shane lay into him, before nailing a Pedigree. The other officials rush the ring as HHH poses with his title, then we go to commercial.

Back from break, Eddie is apparently studying for his GED and Chyna walks in and informs him they have a match right now and they head to the ring. Then we get a replay of what happened before the break. Then we see a limo pulling up outside and... Oh it's Linda. She's greeted by the Stooges before we go to the arena for our next match.

The Hardy Boyz vs Eddie Guerrero (WWF European Champion) (w/ Chyna) vs Essa Rios (w/ Lita)
Eddie and Essa go right after the Hardyz in their corner, Jeff whipped into the corner, Eddie with a pop up for Essa to nail a dropkick on Jeff. Choking in the corner by Essa, then a clothesline. Snapmare on Jeff and a dropkick to the back and Eddie gets tagged in. Jeff sent off the ropes, Eddie drops low and nails a dropkick. Back suplex by Eddie, cover and a 2 count, then tosses Jeff out. Chyna drops Jeff with a forearm while the ref deals with Eddie before Eddie pulls Jeff back in.
Essa tagged in, Jeff sent off the ropes into a dropkick, before being slammed onto his back near their corner, Eddie tagged in with a slingshot senton. Jeff reverses a whip off the ropes and catches Eddie with a tilt-a-whirl side slam, followed by a dropkick. Matt tagged in and Eddie misses a dropkick, Matt laying him and Essa out with a clothesline each. Back body drop on Eddie and a scoop slam on Essa by Matt, Eddie sent off the ropes and launched up and down by the Hardyz. Essa launched up and over before Jeff nails a slingshot crossbody to the outside.
Matt with a suplex on Eddie and Jeff goes up top, but Lita causes a distraction in the opposite corner, allowing Chyna to shove Jeff off and crotch him on the top rope. Matt in now with rights in the corner, reversed into the opposite by Eddie, but Matt launches himself up and over. Meanwhile Essa has gone up top, Eddie slides through Matt's legs as he goes for a clothesline and Essa nails a moonsault. Eddie and Essa stomping away now, before Eddie whips Essa into the corner, who launches himself over the ring post onto Jeff on the outside. Scoop slam by Eddie, Lita goes up top for a moonsault but hits Eddie by accident. Matt boots her out of the ring, Matt nails the Twist of Fate and gets the win in 4:43 and continue their roll.

Hardyz leave as Chyna comes in the ring and argues with Essa, then plants him with a powerbomb. Eddie stomps away before they make their exit, but Eddie gets on his knees and begs for forgiveness.

We cut to Linda who's typing away at her laptop as Shane walks in and they embrace. She says she's here to make a very important announcement, specifically about Rock. Shane wants details but she's not budging. Shane leaves and she goes back to her laptop as we go to commercial.

Back from break, HHH is freaking out in the back with Shane and Steph next to him, telling Shane to get more information out of Linda, and Shane leaves to try and talk to her again. Then onto our next match.

Hardcore Championship: Tazz (ECW Champion) vs Perry Saturn vs Crash Holly (c)
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: We've reached an odd point in wrestling history. Tazz has just recently won the ECW Championship off of Mike Awesome at an ECW show. Crash nails Saturn in the back of the head with a cookie sheet as he's making his entrance and the bell is rung to start this match.
Crash swings at Tazz but he ducks the shot, Tazz now with some rights, but they both get taken down with a double clothesline by Saturn. Saturn picks up Crash on his shoulder and rams him chest first into the corner, only to run into a hip toss by Tazz. Tazz goes for a belly to belly off the top on Crash but Saturn comes from behind and nails him in the back with the cookie sheet, then goes to whip him, only to be pulled back into an overhead throw. Crash now off the middle rope right into a clothesline by Tazz, hooks the leg but Saturn breaks it up.
Saturn with a flapjack on Tazz, then Crash on the attack, hopping onto Saturn's shoulders from behind only for Saturn to push him off and nail a German with a bridge, but Tazz hits Saturn in the ribs with the cookie sheet to break it up. Cookie sheet to the head of Saturn and Crash multiple times, but Crash gets him from behind, sends him off the ropes into a drop toe hold, sending him throat first into the middle rope. Saturn sent off the ropes into a hurricanrana and a pin, but Tazz breaks it up. Tazz and Saturn line up with Crash, Tazz hitting Crash and Saturn hitting Tazz with Russian leg sweeps. Clothesline/leg sweep double team on Crash who rolls out of the ring.
Hardcore comes down with a referee behind him and starts stomping away at Crash, send him into the barricade. Double clothesline in the ring from Tazz and Saturn as Hardcore tries to pin Crash on the outside for a 2 count. Crash reverses a whip into the ring post and something from the timekeeper's area, while Tazz whips Saturn into the corner, tries to launch himself up and over but gets caught by Tazz into an Alabama Slam. Tazz gets Saturn in the Tazzmission, but Crash comes in and breaks it up with the cookie sheet. Hardcore in now and nails Saturn with a Falcon Arrow, then Crash nails Hardcore with a dropkick, pins Saturn and retains the title in 3:25.

Crash makes a quick escape with his title as the other three realize what's happened. Cut back to Linda, and Shane walks in, who tells her this announcement is killing him, that this isn't the corporate world. All she says is it's about Backlash and that she's going to go make the announcement now, then we go to commercial.

Back from break, we see footage from earlier in the day, where Kurt is in a mall with a sign around him, trying to preach about celibacy. Then back to the arena where Linda is in the ring, where she says she's here to address an unfair situation. She talks about how Rock is scheduled to face HHH for the title at Backlash, but that the deck is already stacked against Rock, with Vince announced to be in HHH's corner, and we know Steph will be there too. She makes it clear that Rock hasn't asked for her help or anyone else's, but after watching tonight, after Mania, she's decided to put someone in his corner to even the odds. She says it isn't Foley, as much as people might think it is, that he was a one time, one night only deal, and happily retired at home and announces that Austin will be in his corner, who hasn't been on TV since he was run over back in November. We see the other McMahon's in the back pissed as they watch this on a monitor and they storm off to the ring.

Out come HHH and co, Steph taking the mic from Linda. Steph says that it's unfair that Linda hopped on a plane, thinking she can come down to the ring and make decisions she knows nothing about. Steph reminds her that the last time they were in the ring together, when she slapped Linda in the face, that the McMahon-Helmsley regime has no problem slapping people around. She says the regime is all about opportunity, so she gives Linda the opportunity to change her mind. Linda refuses, and Steph says she's not going going to change her mind on what she has to do. She says it's going to hurt more than it hurts Linda, only for Steph's slap to be caught and Linda to smack her in the face, much to the shock of Linda. HHH grabs hold of Linda and goes to Pedigree her, but Shane intervenes with a clothesline. Steph pulls them apart, then slaps HHH for good measure too, and Shane too, while Linda makes her ecape. Shane and HHH try to get their hands on each other as Rock's music hits and out he comes.

Rock says before they start playing Ollie and Frasier, whatever the hell that is, and the referee played by that prostitute in training Stephanie, he's got something to say. He says when he woke up this morning he was feeling great, knowing it was going to be him and HHH with Vince in his corner at Backlash for the title, but now after hearing Linda's announcement, what was once a great situation just got better. He says the world knows his history with Austin, that they haven't always seen eye to eye, but the one thing they agree on is they know HHH is the biggest asshole walking the earth. He says in 2 weeks, Rock is going to walk in, whip his monkey ass and walk out the champion, if he smells what Rock's cooking. They stare each other down as Rock's music hits, HHH raising the title high and Rock heads to the back before we go to commercial.

Back from break, we get the Lugz Boot of the Week, where T&A laid out the Dudleyz on Heat the night before. Then we get a replay of the McMahon confrontation before the break. Then J.R. sends us to the back, where Cole is with the Faction, who runs down what's happened tonight. HHH calls him a goof and corrects him, saying he didn't lose anything tonight, that he's the champion, the game, that no one beats him, not Rock, not Jericho, not Austin, not anybody. He says he's not done with Jericho tonight, and tells Jericho to bring the APA with him to the ring for 6-man tag action, against himself, Road Dogg and X-Pac.

The Dudley Boyz vs Al Snow & Steve Blackman
Dudleyz waste no time going after Snow and Blackman before they even get in the ring, attacking at the bottom of the ramp, Al and D-Von start out in the ring as Snow  is sent off the ropes, ducking and leapfrogging over the other until Al kicks D-Von in the side of the head. D-Von sent out of the ring as Bubba and Blackman fight on the other side, Al nails a springboard moonsault from the apron onto D-Von. Bubba and Blackman  head into the ring now, Bubba whipped into the corner and Blackman goes for a monkey flip, only to be shoved to the mat. Bubba goes for a clothesline but Blackman ducks and hits a heel kick, Bubba rolling out of the ring.
Blackman with rights on the outside, but Bubba reverses a whip into the steel steps. Snow and D-Von enter the ring, D-Von reverses a whip into the corner as Bubba slides back in, they nail the 3D, but just as D-Von goes for the pin, T&A rush down to the ring. Trish distracts the referee while Albert goes after Bubba, Test goes up top and drives his elbow into the back of D-Von. Test pulls Snow on top, and despite the fact the ref sees him do this, makes the count and gives Head Cheese the win in 1:32.

Albert rolls Bubba back in as Test goes after D-Von, but Bubba gets the upperhand and tosses Albert over as Test follows D-Von to the outside, Head Cheese taking their leave. Trish enters the ring and Bubba immediately grabs hold of her by the hair. D-Von has apparently taken care of Test and D-Von takes out a table. Trish locks lips with Bubba and manages to distract him and put him in a trance, and she escapes up the ramp with Test and Albert.

We cut to more footage from earlier in the day where Kurt walks up to a couple making out and tries to promote abstinence, then tells the woman if she wants to suck on something to suck on a sucker that he gives her before walking away. J.R. tells us we have a title match coming up next.

Light Heavyweight Championship: Scotty 2 Hotty vs Dean Malenko (c)
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: J.R. tells us this is a return match from the previous night's Heat. Scotty's getting a rematch because Dean cheated with a handful of tights... er pants, in order to retain.
Lock up to start, headlock by Scotty, sent off the ropes and takes Dean down with a shoulder block. Scotty off the ropes, through the legs, Dean catches a kick and spins him around only to be nailed with a clothesline. Dean sent off the ropes after some rights into a back elbow. Rights in the corner, whipped into the opposite chest first and Scotty comes off the adjacent ropes, only to be hit with a clothesline. Kicks to the ribs by Dean before nailing a back suplex, floats over a cover and a near fall.
More shots by Dean takes Scotty into the corner, forearms and boots to the midsection, then some heatbutts, before a suplex, then some more rights. Dean stomping away, knee to the face, Scotty sent off the ropes into a back elbow. Snapmare by Dean and an elbow to the face, Scotty whipped into the corner and Dean follows immediately with a clothesline. Scotty reverses a whip into the opposite corner, but gets a boot to the face as he follows, but Dean gets caught with a powerslam as he rushes at Scotty, hooks the leg for a 2 count.
Dean sent off the ropes into a back body drop, Dean whipped into the corner and Scotty with a bulldog to set up for and connect with the Worm. Scotty goes to send Dean off the ropes but he pulls him back into a Tigerbomb, then into the Texax cloverleaf, but he manages to get to the ropes. Scotty reverses a whip into the corner, then sent up and over onto the apron. Scotty up top but Dean cuts him off, joins him up top and nails a superplex, but Scotty turns it into an inside cradle as they hit the mat and wins the title in 4:41. Pretty decent match and I liked that counter in the end.

Scotty celebrates as Dean looks on in disbelief and makes his exit, then we go to a replay. Scotty does some break dancing in the ring before we cut to more footage of Kurt, now holding up a picket sign talking about celibacy to a group of teens. Then we hear Big Show a few feet away calling out for condoms, and the teens and others nearby flock to him, much to the confusion of Kurt.

Back from the break, we have another title match.

Intercontinental Championship: The Big Show vs Chris Benoit (c)
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: Nice to see Show come out not in some stupid costume or imitation this week, just a "Big Nasty Bastard" shirt.
Show immediately tries for a forearm but Benoit ducks and delivers some chops to little effect. Show throws him into the corner and delivers a chop, before press slamming him to the mat on his chest. Show off the ropes and drops an elbow, only for Benoit to roll out of the way. Benoit with boots but Show fights back easily with headbutts and elbows. Benoit tossed to the outside, then whipped hard into the ring steps. Show picks Benoit up on his shoulders but Benoit slips free and shoves him face first into the ring post. More boots by Benoit to no effect as Show lands another headbutt. then press slams Benoit through the ropes into the ring.
Elbow to the back of the head and a right by Show, Benoit sent off the ropes into a side kick. Show calls for the chokeslam and grabs Benoit by the throat, but Benoit nails a blatant low blow, giving Show the DQ win and retaining the title in 2:20.

Angle rushes the ring as Benoit rolls out and kicks and elbows Show in the nuts a few times then... just leaves. Well alright. Angle leaves as his music hits, but up next the tag titles are on the line.

Back from the break, we get the Castrol Slam of the Week, which was Rock sending Shane through the announce table on Smackdown, then onto the title match.

Tag Team Championship: Edge & Christian (c) vs Bull Buchanan & The Big Boss Man
Bull and Christian start this one off, Bull pushes Christian into the corner off a lock up, lays in with some rights and lefts before whipping him into the opposite, Christian trying to launch himself up and over only for Bull to catch him on his shoulder, tries to drive Christian head first into the corner but he slips free, sending Bull in chest first and comes off the ropes with a clothesline. Edge tagged in, they send Bull into the corner, Edge launches himself off Christian's back with a splash. More rights in the corner by Edge before Christian tags back in.
Bull reverses a whip into the ropes and Boss Man kicks Christian in the back as he comes off the ropes, Bull off the ropes with a scissors kick. Christian draped over the middle rope as Boss Man is tagged in, he and Bull off the opposite ropes and slide under, nailing a pair of rights to the face of Christian. Scoop slam on Christian before Boss Man spits in Edge's direction, setting him off. As the ref tends to Edge, Boss Man tosses Christian out to Bull, who launches Christian up high and drops him chest first on the barricade, then rolls him back in. Boss Man with the cover and a near fall.
Christian back up with rights and off the ropes but Boss Man connects with a boot. Bull tagged in, off the ropes into a bicycle stomp. Another right knocks down Christian, then a clothesline out of the corner, cover and Edge breaks it up. Shots in the corner by Bull and Boss Man tagged in, throwing Christian from one corner to the other by the hair, then whips him into the original corner. but he gets the elbow up as Boss Man charges, up to the second rope with a dropkick.
Edge gets the hot tag and takes out Boss Man with a spinning heel kick, then a back body drop for Bull. E&C send Boss Man off the ropes into a double dropkick. Christian slides out of the ring as Bull goes up top and Edge hits the Spear on Boss Man. Edge makes the cover but Bull nails a leg drop to the back of the neck to break it up. Christian back in and tossed out by Bull. Edge gets double teamed now and the ref tries to pull Boss Man off, but gets shoved aside and calls for the bell for the DQ in 4:44.

Bull and Boss Man stomp away until Kane's pyro and music hits, and out he comes with Bearer. Kane takes out Bull with a chokeslam as Boss Man slides out, pulling Bull out with him before Kane sets off his fire in the corners, then we go to commercial.

Back from break, commentary hype up the 6-man before we go to the back, where Cole is with Jericho and the APA ahead of said match. Cole questions if Jericho can trust them, that it's possible the McMahons slipped them some cash. Bradshaw calls him a jackass and says they're standing with Jericho tonight. Farooq says that if they had been paid off, they'd be man enough to say so, and tells Cole's punk ass not to forget it. Bradshaw says Cole will get his ass kicked for free if he keeps it up and calls him a bitch. Then the three of them leave.

Then we get a replay of what happened before the break. Then to the back where X-Pac and Road Dogg are with Tori getting ready, as Edge and Christian come walking down the hallway. They tease they'll be taking the titles from them and said they got lucky again and as E&C go to walk off they get attacked from behind, throwing them around and beating the crap out of them. Roadie tells them to shine the titles up for them and we go to another commercial.

Back from break we have a commercial for Chef Boyardee Jumbo Meatballs starring Big Show, then onto our main event.

Chris Jericho & The APA vs Triple H (WWF Champion), Road Dogg & X-Pac (w/ WWF Women's Champion Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Shane McMahon & Tori)
HHH and Bradshaw start the match, HHH taking advantage of a momentary distraction to nail Bradshaw with some rights, but Bradshaw reverses a whip off the ropes and connects with a boot. Jericho gets tagged in and HHH immediately goes for the Pedigree but Bradshaw breaks it up with a Clothesline from Hell. APA go after Roadie and Pac while Jericho locks in the Walls on HHH but X-Pac breaks it up with a kick to the back of the head, then Roadie with his shimmy knee to the chest. Rights by Roadie in the corner, then kicks to the chest by Pac before HHH gets tagged in. Jericho face first off the turnbuckle and HHH stomps away before choking him with his boot. Jericho sent off the ropes and ducks a clothesline, taking HHH down with a flying forearm.
Farooq and X-Pac tagged in now and he gets dropped with a clohtesline, then Farooq hits Roadie with a powerslam as he runs in. Bradshaw in now goes after X-Pac, sends him off the ropes but X-Pac ducks a clothesline, goes for a crossbody but he's caught. Roadie tries to come to his aid but gets kicked to the mat, while Farooq goes after HHH on the apron, Bradshaw with a fallaway slam on X-Pac. X-Pac with a spinning heel kick to the face of Farooq while the referee tries to get Bradshaw to leave the ring, now he and Roadie stomping away. Farooq is rolled out to HHH who drops him face first onto the steel steps. Roadie tagged in with some rights, then some from Farooq, Roadie sent off the ropes and lifted up, but Roadie slips behind and goes for some Shake, Rattle and Roll, only for his last shot to miss and hit with a spinebuster.
Farooq tries to crawl to his corner to make the tag, so HHH teases coming in to distract the referee, Farooq makes the tag and the referee misses it. He takes out DX on the apron as the referee tells him off, allowing DX to triple team Farooq in their corner.
X-Pac with some kicks in the corner before tagging in Roadie, a side headlock on Farooq and takes him back to the corner, HHH tags in now. More rights on Farooq, but he fights back, sends HHH off the ropes but catches him with a facebuster, covers him and Bradshaw breaks it up. X-Pac hammering away and choking as he's tagged in, now Roadie tagged in. Rights and forearms, X-Pac tagged in again. Farooq sent face first off the turnbuckle, but reverses a whip into the opposite corner and takes X-Pac down with a backbreaker off the rebound.
Farooq finally makes the hot tag to Jericho as HHH is tagged in, series of rights for all 3. Jericho with the bulldog and nails the Lionsault, makes the cover but X-Pac breaks it up and nails the X-Factor. Bradshaw comes in and sends X-Pac out with a right hand while Farooq does the same with Roadie. DX and APA fight up the ramp and E&C join in on the fight as they all go to the back, leaving Jericho and HHH alone in the ring. with Steph and Shane still at ringside. HHH rolls over, drapes the arm over but Jericho gets the shoulder up at 2 and a half.
APA make their way back down as HHH gets up first, Jericho rolls him up off the distraction but it's only 2. Jericho sends HHH into the corner with rights and chops. Now Bull and Boss Man have shown up and attack APA at ringside, HHH reverses a whip into the opposite corner and connects with a Pedigree off the rebound, getting the victory for DX in 7:38.

HHH and family celebrate standing tall over a defeated Jericho. HHH and Shane hug before we go to replays, and HHH poses some more in the corner before the show fades out.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Well... Show started out strong and Jericho looking strong only to have him lose clean in the end, although I'm not surprised. That said though, the opener and main event were good, had some good title matches for the most part, most of the matches on the show were given enough time, so I'll give it an overall pass. That being said, with a runtime of 1:35:55, there was a total of 37:41 of wrestling... or is that 29:03 since the opening match never happened?

WWF Smackdown
We start off with a video package HHH's bad day on Monday, from the match that never happened to Linda's announcement, all with time stamps. Then we go to opening package and pyro, live from the First Union Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with Michael Cole and Lawler on commentary and we kick things off with the first match of the night.

Road Dogg vs Edge (WWF Tag Team Champion)
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: We see footage from Monday when Roadie and X-Pac attacked the tag champions backstage as Roadie makes his way out, and Lawler tells us E&C vs DX has been made official for the titles at Backlash. Roadie gets on the mic and says they're going to get those tag titles, burn E&C down and leave their bodies in ash, that they don't leave nothing to waste. Roadie tries a sneak attack mid-entrance but Edge takes him down with a back elbow to get things started.
Rights by Edge take Roadie down, then reverses off the ropes into a shoulder block, sending Roadie out of the ring, followed by a baseball slide by Edge. Roadie dropped chest first onto the barricade, then face first off the steps before being sent back into the ring. Edge climbs onto the apron only to get a dropkick to the face and knocked back to the floor. Roadie with a clothesline off the apron, then sends Edge face first off the apron and back into the ring. Edge sent into the corer and Roadie follows but hits the turnbuckle face first, Edge gets him around the waist from behind, Roadie tries to elbow out but Edge ducks and turns it into a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge and a near fall.
Rights by Roadie, then some by Edge, Roadie sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and follows with some Shake Rattle and Roll, only for Edge to duck the last shot and get Roadie with a rollup, but Roadie reverses into a roll up of his own and gets the win in 2:22. Yikes that was short. Was pretty good too for what it was.

Roadie heads up the ramp and Cole speculates that Roadie had a handful of tights, but from the camera angle we got it's impossible to tell. Then we see HHH, Steph and Shane walking backstage. Shane says he's going to round everybody up, something about divide and conquer, they're leaving it a mystery right now and he heads off, while HHH and Steph continue walking and we go to commercial.

Back from break, I guess in the lead up to his return, they're going to start showing classic Austin moments, this time his confrontation with Mike Tyson ahead of Wrestlemania XIV. Then out come HHH and Steph, while commentary continue to debate whether the HHH/Jericho match ever happened and recap what happened on Monday with Linda. We get an asshole chant right away, and HHH says that's painful coming from them, obviously being sarcastic. He turns to Steph and says that he's heard a lot of people talk about Monday, how the McMahon-Helmsley regime had a bad day, over the last couple days, more specifically that he had a bad day. He says he doesn't have many bad days, and that wasn't one of them, that as time goes on, you look back in the record books, they clearly show that it asn't really a bad day. He never lost the WWF Title to Jericho, it never took place, and there was never a quick count by an incompetent referee, that Hebner tried to screw him. He says it will also never show the McMahons firing Hebner and getting rid of the problem. The one thing though that did happen Monday that could be considered bad he says was when Linda to make her announcement. He turns back to Steph and brings up how they've talked about having kids some day, but he wouldn't be comfortable leaving them with Linda, calling her a psycho, that she needs help. He asks what kind of mother would slap her own daughter, and suggests Linda would do the same to their kids, maybe even kick them around. He admits that he snapped seeing Steph get slapped and claims he never would have really given the Pedigree to her, that deep down inside he's a hell of a guy, just wanted to scare her, and calls Shane a hot head for punching him in the face over it. He calls Shane a momma's boy, but says there's nothing wrong with loving your mommy. Then he says even though he wonders what kind of a mom would do that, he realizes it's the same kind of woman who would come to the ring and take a fair match between two great athletes for the title, and try to stack the odds putting Austin in Rock's corner. Austin gets a huge pop at the mere mention of his name. He tells Rock if he wants someone in his corner, he's going to give him the chance tonight to get used to it, then says there'll be someone in every corner, then clarifies there'll be people all around the ring, announcing that the "Ayatollah of Butthole-a" Jericho will face Rock in a Lumberjack Match tonight. He says those lumberjacks are right now being carefully handpicked by Shane. He says the McMahon-Helmsley regime are in complete control, taking care of business, and there will be no more bad days. We're on 8 minutes now just to ramble and make a lumberjack match.

Suddenly Tazz's music hits and out he comes, still the ECW Champion with mic in hand. He says it's good to see HHH in such a pleasant mood, but the mood is about to change. He says HHH runs around like he's got everything under control, all his bases covered, but suggests he open his big mouth wider and take a bite out of something he can't swallow. He says HHH doesn't have to put the title on the line, he's just gotta lace em' up, get in the ring and find out why they call him the Human Wrecking Machine. HHH accepts with no hesitation, tells him to bring the ECW Title with him, and he's going to prove to the world, prove to Tazz, and to all the idiots chanting ECW, that ECW sucks. Tazz says from one champion to another, to prepare to be choked out. He says HHH calls himself the game, but he doesn't play games. Tazz's music hits and he heads to the back. I forgot Tazz cut good promos, crowd was eating it all up.

We cut to Chyna and Lita walking backstage, Lita complements her on her outfit, and Chyna remarks that she's lucky Eddie's in a good mood tonight. She says he's giving her and Essa the chance to team with them again tonight against the Dudleyz, then mentions he passed his GED. Lita says she should congratulate him on that, and Chyna makes it clear to her not to screw up again, before they continue on into the break.

Back from commercial, Steph catches up with Kurt in the hallway. She tells him she's always thought he was handsome, but that his most admirable quality is his credibility, and that he's the only gold medalist in the WWF. She asks him to lend some credibility to the Lumberjack Match tonight. Kurt says it would be his honor, they shake hands, and she walks off.

The Dudley Boyz vs Essa Rios & Eddie Guerrero (European Champion) (w/ Lita & Chyna)
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: We see footage from Monday's Raw, when Lita hit Eddie with the moonsault to cost them the tag match, plus Chyna powerbombing Essa for his troubles.
Essa and Bubba start things out, quick lock up gets broken up by a knee to the ribs by Bubba, then some clubs to the back. Essa sent off the ropes into a back body drop, but Essa lands on his feed and nails a headscissor take down, then a spinning heel kick. Essa tries for a clothesline but Bubba ducks and nails a Bubba Bomb. D-Von tagged in now, Essa reverses a whip off the ropes into some quick back and forth until D-Von nails a shoulder block, cover and a near fall.
Kicks to the midsection by Essa drops D-Von and Eddie's tagged in, goes up top for a dropkick and a cover for a 2 count. D-Von sent face first into the corner now, rights by Eddie before sending D-Von nto the opposite corner, who moves out of the way as Eddie charges Eddie leaps to the middle rope but gets clubbed in the back, then nailed with a neckbreaker.
Bubba and Essa tagged in now, back body drops and press slams, and a side walk slam on Eddie. Essa sent off the ropes and goes for a hurricanrana, but Bubba plants him with a sitout powerbomb, but Eddie breaks up the pin with a dropkick to the side of the head. D-Von in now after Eddie, clotheslining him to the outside. Dudleyz go for the 3D, but as Bubba comes off the ropes, Eddie trips him up and pulls him under, leaving D-Von hanging, allowing Essa to nail a DDT as he's launched up. D-Von gets kicked to the outside before Essa goes up top with a nice crossbody.
Meanwhile on the other side of the ring, Lita's climbed onto the apron and leaps off with a crossbody, but takes out Eddie once again as she goes for Bubba. Essa back in the ring with the Dudleyz as Chyna goes after Lita, they hit the 3D and Bubba gets the pin in 3:02. Match went by quick, was pretty good albeit short.

Lita goes to check on Essa as Chyna comes in behind her. She begs but Chyna gets a handful of hair, but the Dudleyz pull out a table and slip back into the ring. They set up the table behind her, and Chyna backs up to realize the situation she's in. She does the smart thing and throws Lita to them, Bubba goes up to the second rope as D-Von hoists her up and powerbombs Lita through the table. Bubba gets in that trance as the Dudleyz music hits, and Eddie and Chyna make their escape. Referees and D-Von snap Bubba out of it as we  get a couple replays. Dudleyz leave as officials check on Lita.

To the back, we see Radicalz calling someone Donkey Kong, and in comes Shane with a chair. He mentions that Benoit has a title defense later on, and Benoit assures him it won't take long. Shane says they're selecting the best to be lumberjacks tonight and asks if they're in. They agree and Shane leaves.

Because... reasons, we cut to Rikishi's ass as he's walking backstage. Then we cut to Big Show's ass for... reasons as he's walking backstage. They have a match up next.

Back from the break, the WWF Rewind moment tonight is Scotty winning the Light Heavyweight Title on Monday. Then back to the arena to Rikishi mid-entrance for our next match.

Rikishi vs The Big Show
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: Show dances and sways down the ramp and on the apron before he gets a mic from ringside. He tells Rikishi this is his town, Philadelphia for a cheap pop, and says they call him The Big Funky there. Show challenges Kish to a dance contest to see who shakes their rump better. Show can actually dance pretty decently, with much love from Philly. But then in one of Show's thousand heel turns(?) he attacks Rikishi from behind mid-dance to start the match.
Show with a headbutt into the corner, then a chop before whipping Rikishi into the opposite corner. Kish gets the boots up and lays in with rights before dropping with a side kick into the corner. Kish calls for the Stinkface but Show slips out before he can and Kish follows. Back in the ring, Show up first with boots and a headbutt. Show whips Kish off the ropes but he pulls back and nails a DDT then a leg drop, cover and a near fall.
Kish tries to lift Show but he falls back and Show lands on top. Elbows to the back by Show before turning Kish inside out with a clothesline. Show turns back into a face and does The Worm before whipping Kish into the corner. Show charges but Kish moves out of the way and takes Show down with an arm drag into the other corner. Samoan drop by Show sending Show into the corner and a hip attack, then takes them both out with a clothesline to the outside. Ref makes the 10 count as Kish whips show into the steps, ending in a double count out at 2:48. It was an OK match.

Kish rolls back in the ring as Show gets back up and starts to head back. Kish gets a mic and tells Show to back his butt up, bring his big body in there and finish what they started. Kish gives Show a pair of shades as he dons his own and they start to dance. We cut to Kurt who's watching this happen backstage. They dance on a bit and Kish blindsides Show with a side kick.

Back from break, Kurt is with... I think it's Kevin Kelly? I think they played a preview of Gladiator during the break, giving it a plug before calling Kurt a modern day gladiator, and he says he's heard the movie is phenomenal. He says he's been personally invited by Spielberg to attend the world premiere, but he was upset that he wouldn't be starring in the movie, but if there's a sequel he's sure Spielberg will has that on his mind and his fans can see him on the big screen. Then Kevin brings up Big Show, about he seems to have gone Hollywood, and how Kurt was not impressed with Show's dancing. He talks about how it's fine for Kish, it's what he does, he doesn't know any better, but Show was once WWF Champion, he used to mean something, but now he stands for nothing. He says he stands for something, his three Is, and when he wins the IC Title off Benoit, Kevin and everyone else will see that the stock market will rise, this world will be a much better place, and he will see Kelly at the movies, then walks off.

Tazz (ECW Champion) vs Triple H (WWF Champion) (w/ Women's Champion Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley)
Chioda for whatever reasn raises the WWF Title up as if this were a title match, which HHH an Tazz size each other up. Lock up to start as HHH shoves Tazz into the corner. HHH goes for a cheap shot as it's broken up but Tazz beats him to the punch. Back on the offense now as HHH gets in some right hands, but gets reversed off the ropes into a series of stiff clotheslines. Boots and rights in the corner by Tazz, then goes for a side suplex, only for HHH to elbow out and nail a clothesline of his own.
Rights by Tazz before sending HHH off the ropes and send over the ropes to the outside. More rights by Tazz before sending him face first off the announce table, then a scoop slam to the floor. HHH gets back into it whipping Tazz into the steps. Tazz dropped throat first on the barricade before HHH lays into him with right hands. Back in the ring, suplex by HHH, then a knee drop out of the corner, a cover and a near kick out. Tazz face first in the corner, then trading rights until HHH knees him in the midsection, only for Tazz to hit a back suplex.
Tazz with rights as they get back up, HHH sent off the ropes into an elbow, off the ropes again and Tazz catches him going for a belly to belly over head, but HHH headbutts out, goes off the ropes into a Northern Lights with a bridge and a near fall. Tazz argues with Chioda a bit before going after HHH, sends him off the ropes but gets caught with a facebuster. HHH comes off the ropes and Tazz catches him with a Tazzmission, only for Steph to immediately climb the apron. With the ref distracted, HHH nails a low blow, then the Pedigree. He goes for the pin, but then outta nowhere Tommy Dreamer is on the apron distracting the ref now. HHH takes him out and the referee in the process. Dreamer gets a chair and goes for HHH but nails Tazz by accident, before HHH nails him with a Pedigree. Chioda comes to as he makes the cover and wins the match in 5:50. I have to assume the Dreamer run in is what sets up Tazz losing the title because this seemed out of place otherwise. Was a fun match.

HHH and Steph celebrate with Dreamer and Tazz laid out behind them, before we cut to T&A in the back. Trish says she knows there's going to be a lot of distractions with the hos out there, but they need to focus on the match ladies. Then we go to commercial.

The Godfather & D'Lo Brown vs T&A (w/ Trish Stratus)
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: T&A don't even let Godfather do his pre-match shtick. We see footage from Monday when Trish lip locked Bubba, then cut back to the match where Test has sent D'Lo off the ropes to get this started.
D'Lo ducks a clothesline but gets nailed on the second try. D'Lo reverses off the ropes this time, each ducking a clothesline before D'Lo hits a back suplex. Test sent into the corner and Bubba makes an appearance on stage, looking down at the ring as Test slams D'Lo. Albert tagged in and lands a few rights, taking D'Lo down before sending him off the ropes. D'Lo misses a boot and gets in some rights before bringing him to the corner to tag Godfather. Bubba starts to walk down the ramp but D-Von comes out and cuts him off, while Godfather slams Albert to the mat, then a spinning leg drop. Albert reverses a whip off the ropes as the Dudleyz head to the back, Godfather kicks him in the midsection and nails a sid kick, cover and Test breaks it up. D'Lo in after Test now, Godfather after Test in opposite corners and whip T&A into each other. Albert gets tossed out and Godfather calls for the Ho Train, but Albert grabs at his leg. D'Lo goes after Albert now and go back in the ring, whipping him into Test.Godfather hits the Hoe Train on both of them. Godfather goes for the Pimp Drop as D'Lo goes to nail Test, he ducks and nails Godfather, allowing Albert to nail the Baldo Bomb. Test knocks D'Lo out of the ring as the ref makes the three count in 2:17.

T&A make a quick exit to the back as D'Lo and Godfather argue a bit in the ring. D'Lo nails a Sky High out of nowhere and says screw you before taunting the fans a bit. Up next, X-Pac faces Christian.

Back from break, the Castrol Slam of the Week is HHH firing and assaulting Hebner. To the arena, we go to X-Pac mid-entrance for our next match.

X-Pac (w/ Tori) vs Christian (Tag Team Champion)
Quick back and forth to start it out, with Christian getting the advantage pulling Pac down face first into the apron, then following with a baseball slide. Tori gets a handful of hair as Christian goes to pick up Pac, shoving him to the floor and he walks right into a spinning heel kick, before throwing him head first into the steps.
Christian back on the apron, Pac goes to slam him face first into the turnbuckle, only to be blocked and sent into it instead, Christian up top but Pac kicks the top rope before he can launch himself and pulls him down to the mat and setting up for the Bronco Buster. Snapmare by Pac in a rear chinlock, Christian fights back up and out with elbow, back and forth rights and a spinning heel kick but Christian ducks, goes for the inverted DDT, but Pac kicks him in the top of the head, off the ropes into a clothesline, a cover and a near fall.
X-Pac up top now with a senton but Christian rolls away. Back up npw, Christian with rights, ducks a clothesline and hits a dropkick. X-Pac reverses a whip off the ropes, Christian ducks and nails the inverted DDT, a cover and a 2 count. X-Pac whipped into the corner but gets the boots up as Christian follows, only to be nailed with a gutbuster. Christian goes for the Unprettier but Road Dogg runs down as Tori distracts the referee, but gets knocked off the apron. Edge down now and nails Roadie with a right, while X-Pac nails the X-Factor for the win in 3:30.

Edge send Roadie into the ring and he fight off him and Pac while Christian comes to. Edge launches himself off Christian into Roadie in the corner and clotheslines X-Pac to the outside. DX retreats as E&C's music hit.

Cut to the back as Dudleys are walking through the hallway and Shane catches up with them. He says what they did to Lita was insane, that that's the intensity he's looking for. He asks them about being part of the Lumberjack match, D-Von asks if there's tables involved and Shane says anything can happen. Shane puts up the 3D hand sign, Bubba asks if they can hit the 3D, specifically on anybody they want and Shane says yes with the exception of himself, and they accept before walking off into commercial.

Back from break, another classic Stone Cold moment as we get to the beer bath on the go home to WrestleMania 15. Then we go to Kurt Angle already in the ring for our title match.

Intercontinental Championship: Kurt Angle vs Chris Benoit (c)
Lock up to start and Kurt gets shoved into the corner, then a belly to back take down and a dropkick by Kurt. Bit of gloating gives Benoit the chance to get in a couple chops across the chest, Angle reverses off the ropes and catches Benoit in a belly to belly overhead throw. Benoit face first in the corner, now Kurt with rights and stomps to the midsection before choking him with his boot. Benoit fights back with boots to the midsection and a snap suplex, cover and a near fall.
Kurt sent off the ropes into a back elbow, cover and a 2 count. Scoop slam by Benoit, then an elbow off the ropes. Kurt sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and goes for a backslide pin, but Benoit fights it off, only for Kurt to transition to a belly to belly suplex, cover and a kick out. Kurt goes for a scoop slam, but Benoit rolls into an inside cradle for another near fall. Kurt pulls back back off a whip off the ropes and... Well I assume he meant for a Northern Lights with a bridge, but someone lost their grip, but Kurt still goes for the pin but Benoit kicks out.
Benoit face first in the corner, then reverses a whip into the opposite corner sending Kurt chest first,t hen catches him for his three German suplexes. Benoit goes up top just as Big Show runs down and shoves Benoit off to the outside, giving him the DQ win and retains the title in 3:07.

Kurt rolls out before Show can get his hands on him but Show chases after hi to the back as Benoit is announced the winner.

To the back, HHH catches up with Buchanan and Boss Man in the locker room, saying he has an opportunity for them. He says they're his two top picks for the Lumberjack Match, that they need guys who are tough, strong and take command, that show some authority. Boss Man cuts him off before he goes on further, saying he knows tough they are, and says they're there. They shake hands and HHH walks out before we go to commercial.

Back from break, we catch up with the McMahons and DX in the back, recapping E&C's success tonight, Tazz being taken care of. Shane brings focus back to the Lumberjack Match and start to talk strategy. X-Pac just wants to beat someone up. Just a bit of rambling.

Hardcore Title 24/7 Title Defense: Crash Holly (c) vs Clowns
Then we go to footage from earlier today, where Hardcore Champion Crash, coming back from the circus. He gets assaulted in the arena parking lot by a clown and... some guy in a trench coat and bowler hat. The clown recognizes him and brings up how he's defended the title in a laundromat, hotel and circus then assaults Crash. Turns out the guy in the trench coat was Teddy Long as the clown breaks a stick over Crash's back, goes for the pin but Crash kicks out. Clown argues with the ref before Crash throws the clown into the side of a truck. Crash tries to escape but another clown assaults him, goes for the cover but Crash kicks out. A bucket of... something is dumped on Crash, another cover and a kick out.
A third clown comes in and joins in on the beatdown, they throw Crash into some steel fencing. The second clown goes for the roll up and a near fall. Third clown picks Crash up and starts wailing at him with one of his big clown shoes, goes for the cover but the second clown pushes him off, tries to go for the cover but Crash slips free and escapes. The third takes off his clown hat and it turns out they were the Mean Street Posse and they start arguing. then we go back to present time.

Kevin Kelly is with Rock backstage, Rock cuts him off and does his usual thing. Rock says he doesn't have a problem with Jericho, or in a match with Jericho, but he does have a problem with the fact that this isn't even a match. He says the only thing HHH is doing is delaying the inevitable, that the countdown is on, 10 days left until Backlash. He tells HHH to live it up, to have a picnic, fly a kite, go down to the Philly Zoo and suck some monkey nipple with the title. He tells Vince if he decides to stick his nose in his business, then he's got a rattlesnake ready to strike on his candy ass. He says regardless of what he throws in front of him, how many lumberjacks he places in front of him, of what he does in the next 10 days, it doesn't matter, because he's looking at the next WWF Champion, if he smells what the Rock is cooking, then we go to commercial.

Back from break, the Lugz Boot of the Week is Linda slapping Steph on Raw and the ensuing chaos, before we go to our main event.

Lumberjack Match: The Rock vs Chris Jericho; Lumberjacks: WWF Champion Triple H, Shane McMahon, Women's Champion Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, X-Pac, Road Dogg, Tori, Kurt Angle, The Big Boss Man, Bull Buchanan, Buuba and D-Von Dudley, Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn
Pre-Match Notes & Thoughts: DX comes out together along with the rest of the lumberjacks. Lawler and Cole argue some more about Jericho's "non-existent" title win on Raw as he comes out.
Rock and Jericho look around the ring as the match starts and they waste no time with rights, although Rock gets the upperhand, backing Jericho into the ropes, whips him off them only to be nailed with a flying forearm. Jericho with rights and chops in the corner, boots to the midsection, but gets whipped into the opposite corner. Jericho gets the boots up as Rock follows but he gets Jericho with a back elbow. Rock stomping away at Jericho, clubs to the back, but Jericho gets in some rights, goes off the ropes only for Rock to toss him over to the outside. Lumberjacks waste no time attacking for... a few seconds, then rolls him back in. Rock makes a cover for a 2 count. Rock with a seuplex, another cover and a 2 count.
Rock with rights and elbows to the side of the head against the ropes, bur Jericho reverses as he's whipped off them and hits a spinning heel kick. Rock rolls out to the apron and the lumberjacks immediately on the attack. Rock gets back up only for Jericho to nail him with a springboard dropkick out of the corner dropping him to the floor. More attacking by the lumberjacks and a right hand by HHH before Rock is tossed back in. Jericho stomping away now, but Rock fights back with rights, off the ropes and into a clothesline, cover and a near fall for Jericho. Rock tossed out of the ring again and more shots before Rock is tossed back in. Jericho hits the Lionsault but Rock kicks out.
More shots by Jericho, but Rock reverses a whip off the ropes, Jericho cuts him off with a kick to the midsection, off the ropes but caught with a tilt-a-whirl powerslam. Rock with the cover and a near fall. Rock goes outside and starts laying out the lumberjacks but the numbers get the better of him, now Jericho out to fight the lumberjacks. Jericho gets thrown into the steps before he's tossed back into the ring with Rock. HHH climbs onto the apron as neither Rock or Jericho has moved, distracting the referee now. Benoit goes up top and nails Jericho with the diving headbutt. Rock rolls over and makes the cover, but Jericho kicks out.
HHH back on the apron and gets into it with the referee, X-Pac slips in and nails Rock with the X-Factor before slipping back out. Jericho now makes the cover but Rock kicks out. Jericho runs toward Rock but gets hit with a spinebuster. Now multiple lumberjacks climbing onto the apron, Rock taking them back down immediately with right hands. HHH gets on the apron and Rock yanks him over the ropes, Rock lays in with rights and knocks HHH over the ropes to the outside. Shane in now and nails Rock from behind, but runs out before Rock can get his hands on him, and Jericho takes advantage to hit Rock from behind. Jericho goes to send him off the ropes only for Rock to pull him back into a Rock Bottom, go for the cover but HHH yanks him out of the ring. Lumberjacks try to get their hands on him but he slips back in before they get the chance. Rock nails another Rock Bottom and makes the cover, but Shane is on the apron now distracting the referee. HHH slips in and nails Rock with the WWF Title and pulls Jericho on top. Shane drops from the apron, the count is made and Jericho wins in 7:10. Ya know this was actually pretty good until it became an overbooked mess in the last few minutes.

HHH's music hits for some reason as he looks on pleased and Jericho is announced the winner. Rock laughs as Jericho barely moves and DX and the lumberjacks head to the back to close out the show.

OVERALL THOUGHTS
Well this was a pretty average show. Got a nice IC Title match, some fun Hardcore Title stuff, plus Tazz/HHH was a hell of a match. We did have that long, drawn out 8 minute promo by HHH and a main event that could have been good if it weren't for the mess of a finish. That being said though, with a runtime of 1:28:55, there was a total 30:06 of total wrestling.
