WCW Week of June 5, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Perfect Event vs Kronic ends in a double countout after Cat forces the referee to count both teams out. Perfect event retain the tag titles.
- Kidman treats Torrie like crap, then makes Major Guns cry as she comes to Torrie's aid.
- G.I. Bro (sigh) beats Kidman when Torrie gives him a low blow, then Filthy Animals take out MIA.
- During a Hardcore Title match between Bischoff and Funk, Ms. Hancock has a confrontation with Kimberly and Mike Awesome which leads to a match later. Bischoff then wins the Hardcore Title after interference by Cat and the Mamalukes.
- Vamp and Steiner have a US Title match. Vamp tries to set one of Steiner's freaks on fire, then Sting comes out to interfere and Steiner retains.
- Goldberg beat Tank in their big blowoff match after interference from Rick Steiner and Nash.
- Sting beats Jarrett and everyone thinks he's won the World Title, until Bischoff comes out to tell him otherwise. Sting then smashes a guitar over Jarrett's head and sends him off the ramp and he leaves in an ambulance.
- Hancock chooses Page to be her partner, and they get the win over Awesome and Kimberly.
- We hear that Hulk hogan will not face Horace on the show, which means Hollywood Hogan will, in WCW's version of a Cell, which Hogan wins. Kidman rushes in only to be sent through a table.
- Russo beats Flair in the Cell after David comes out from under the ring to interfere, and Ric is drenched in a bloodbath.
- Nash steamrolls through what they call a Gauntlet and eliminates several New Blood members, despite not pinning most of them. Match eventually just ends when the New Blood rush the ring, and Goldberg makes the save, only for Bischoff to threaten suspension on Thunder.

Thunder
- Bischoff suspends Goldberg for 90 days without pay. Jarrett tries to feign injuries from Nitro to get out of his title defense against Nash, but he sees right through it. Bischoff also continues to tease a huge announcement for the Bash.
- Loco wins the Cruiserweight Title over Daffney and Disco, after interference from Ms. Hancock, Kimberly, Animals and MIA, and eventually a Book End from Booker on Disco.
- Kidman beats Major Stash with help from Horace, then tries to apologize to Torrie but gets slapped instead.
- Russo and David hold a retirement party for Ric, and a giant cake is brought out. Russo thinks Ric is hiding in the cake, which allows Ric to come out from under the ring and attack.
- The Mamalukes are handed the Hardcore Title off-screen and there's confusion to whether both are the champion, or if only Vito is since he's wearing it. They successfully defend against Wall after interference from Douglas.
- Mamalukes' celebration is cut short by Tank, who makes a challenge that's accepted by Nash. It goes 16 seconds, Scott comes out for the save, and Bischoff makes Scott run the New Blood gauntlet later.
- Cajun vs Awesome just ends after Page interferes, only to be nailed in the head with a halo and put through a table for his trouble.
- Perfect Event retain over Bro and Rection after Rection's grandfather hops the guard rail and inadvertently cost them the match.
- Cat vs Sting never happens as Vamp attacks. He sets the top of the announce desk on fire but Sting quickly puts it out with an extinguisher, but still gets chokeslammed onto it.
- Scott Steiner runs a gauntlet much like Nash did on Nitro, except he actually beats guys, but it's also ended when the New Blood rush down. Goldberg makes the save once more, then Bischoff sends the cops down and the show ends before we see how it plays out.

Great American Bash
- Loco retains the Cruiserweight Title over Disco after a shit ton of interference by MIA and the Animals in what was basically a Lumberjack Match.
- Kronic beat the Mamalukes to become #1 contenders to the tag titles after Vito cares more about shining up their Hardcore Title than the actual match.
- Awesome beats Page in an Ambulance Match after Kanyon makes a "miraculous" recovery and turns on Page. We later find out he was turned to the dark side by Bischoff during his time in the hospital.
- Bro beats Stasiak in a Boot Camp Match despite interference from Palumbo.
- Douglas confuses everyone when he makes changes to his match with Wall, but eventually it's cleared up to be a Best of 5 Tables Match. Wall puts Douglas through two tables back to back, then Douglas puts Wall through a stack of 3 tables to win the match. Then Wall puts the referee through a table.
- Scott vs Tank in the Asylum is made into a handicap match with Rick added in, who then maybe turns face, and Scott retains.
- Hogan beats Kidman after Horace presumably sides back with his uncle, so Hogan gets a World Title shot at the next PPV.
- Ric beats David after Reid and Charlotte subdue Russo, then Russo vows to retire Ric himself on the next night's Nitro.
- Vamp beats Sting in a Human Torch match after climbing to the top of the entrance set, and "Sting" falls off to a crash pad below.
- In the World Title main event, Filthy Animals are all given various ringside roles, and Cat is made special enforcer. Goldberg (swerve!) turns on Nash and aligns with R&B to help Jarrett retain the title over Nash. It's also speculated that Goldberg's turn was the huge, groundbreaking surprise that Bischoff's been teasing for weeks.
