WCW Week of June 19, 2000 Recap
Nitro
- Horace gets a match with Goldberg. Cat negotiates some matches for Nash and Steiner, making Steiner v. Jarrett for the title, and Nash v. Cat for Hall's contract.
- Tank and Rick attack Perfect Event as they try to fool them in production.
- 3 Count get a clean win over Jung Dragons. Lance Storm debuts and lays out 3 Count as they do their routine.
- Vito retains the Hardcore Title over Johnny the Bull with an impaler DDT off scaffolding through a table. Funk then offers to be a mentor to Johnny.
- Kanyon plugs his face book and makes an open challenge, which is accepted by Booker T, who's gotten rid of the GI Bro gimmick. No match happens, Booker just beats up Kanyon.
- Horace gets squashed by Goldberg.
- Nash beats Cat, but it was a ruse and doesn't get Hall's contract. Goldberg challenges him to a match for the PPV for Hall's contract.
- Loco retains the Cruiserweight Title over Mysterio and Artist with a clean pin. Then Tygress, Guns and Paisley start fighting.
- David convinces Daffney that he is not in love with Hancock, only to be caught in the act moments later and Daffney is upset again.
- Perfect Event retain the tag titles over Rick and Tank after Tank abandons the match to chase after a fan.
- They've made Demon it's own entity, and Dale Torborg, the man behind the face paint, it's own character. He's lured out by Vampiro who then kidnaps his fiance Asya.
- Buff and Kronic beat Triple Threat with a Blockbuster on Bigelow. Kronic leave prematurely which allows Douglas to attack Buff after the match.
- Jarrett retains the World Title over Steiner over Steiner puts special ref Awesome in the Recliner, distracted by Cat, and nailed with a guitar by Jeff. Cat is put in the recliner and lays out Jarrett and Awesome. Goldberg lays him out with a spear.
Thunder
- Rick calls out Tank for a match, which leads him to a clean win. Tank leaps over the announce table and goes after a fan, who then is for some reason led tot he back.
- Perfect Event scare the crap out of Penzer by setting off the ring pyro.
- Jarrett takes forever to make a joke about making the fat lady sing at the PPV. Cat announces Jeff and Awesome vs Steiner and Nash for later.
- Funk starts training Johnny by trading trash can shots to the head.
- Artist and Paisley beat Rey & Tygress and Loco & Guns with a jumping DDT on Loco from the middle rope. Lance Storm appears again to lay out Artist.
- Vamp has Asya ransom and eventually takes Dale to a graveyard, laying him out with a shovel, while also giving him back Asya.
- Vito retains the Hardcore Title over Wall with a running powerbomb through a table, which Wall no sells.
- Goldberg cuts a promo about his issues with Nash, stemming back to the cattle prod incident, and sitting at home after slashing up his arm.
- Bigelow and Canido beat Buff after Douglas hits him with a lead pipe, despite Cat's no interference rule, and Greetings from Ashbury Park from Bigelow. Cat later punishes Douglas for interfering by pitting him against Kronic.
- David manages to dupe Daffney again despite what he did on Nitro, blaming on production.
- Kanyon plugs his fake book again which brings out Booker, but he's laid out with the book, which had a brick hidden inside, and Kanyon points out Booker's stupidity for falling for his trap.
- David shaves the head of the production guy who nearly cost him his relationship with Daffney. He later locks Perfect Event in the truck after the make fun of him, which allows Kronic to later lay them out.
- 3 Count debut a new single, and Tank has a new found love for the boy band. They're laid out by Kronic, who then squash Douglas.
- Steiner and Nash get a clean win over Jarrett and Awesome, after a tiger bomb by Steiner on Jarrett. Steiner is laid out with the US Title by Jarrett.
