WCW Week of June 26, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Cat announces a 4 Corners World Title match for the main event, with qualifying matches. Duggan interrupts and cuts a hell of a promo to set up a qualifying match with Goldberg.
- Jindrak and O'Haire win their debut match against Juvie and Mysterio. Lance Storm comes out to save them from a post-match beatdown. Cat orders the Animals to bring Storm to him and they're all beaten up throughout the night.
- Jung Dragons pin Vito in a non-non-title match
- Douglas fakes an injury to get out of his qualifying match with Steiner, and convinces Cat to put Bagwell in his place.
- Tank somehow gives 3 Count a shot at the tag titles after Perfect Event screw up their performance. Champions retain after a Lex Flexer shot. Kronic lay out the champions, then get laid out by Tank when they go after 3 Count.
- Somewhere in all this Kanyon had a book signing for his fake book, where he had to promise free beer to get people to come. He gets put through a table by Booker
- Goldberg beats Duggan to qualify for the 4 Corners match, then attacks his good kidney after the match and sends him out on a stretcher.
- Nash beats Awesome to qualify after booting a chair back into his face
- Steiner qualifies beating Bagwell with a clean win. Douglas tries to attack after the match but Steiner makes the save.
- Daffney challenges Hancock to a match at the PPV, and Hancock ups it to a Wedding Gown Match
- Storm wins his debut match over Disco with his rolling crab. Animals try to attack but Kidman makes the save, revealing he laid them out throughout thenight
- Dale meets Vamp in the locker room but gets knocked out and put in a coffin. Sting seemingly lays out Vamp and lays a Sting mask over his face.
- Jarrett retains the World Title after a bunch of bullshit (big shock), which includes Goldberg laying out Nash before the match, and Awesome laying out Steiner with his US Title belt,  with a pin on Nash

Thunder
- Horace attacks Jarrett following a usual Jarrett promo, and Cat gives him a title shot
- Loco retains the CW Title over Cajun after a midair DDT
- Steiner threatens Cat into giving him a match with Awesome
- Jindrak and O'Haire get a clean win over Evan and Shannon of 3 Count. Tank comes out to try and dance with them but he and 3 Count are laid out by Kronic.
- Kanyon hands out Kanyon Cutters to random people backstage throughout the night.
- Johnny the Bull takes Jamie-San's place in a Gauntlet Match involving Jung Dragons, beating Vito
- Rection and Stash of MIA get a non-title clean win over Perfect Event
- Jarrett retains the World Title over Horace after some confusing rule admonishing from the referee involving a steel chair. He smashes his guitar over Horace's head after the match.
- Vamp is attacked by Dale and Asya in the ring, then Sting is seen in the rafters.
- Lance and Kidman get a clean win over Juvie and Mysterio
- Paisley beats Tygress in something trying to be a match
- Buff gets a DQ win over Kanyon after he hits the ref with a Kanyon Cutter, and a second ref calls for the bell.
- Awesome beats Steiner after Cat knocks out the ref, then hits Steiner with the title belt during a Recliner, then reveals a ref shirt to make a fast count.

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? Tony tells us that 3 Count is more concerned with the gold record, and the Dragons want the contract so 3 Count can't make any more records. WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
