WCW Bash at the Beach 2000
We see Cat arrive at the arena, and he tells Smooth the limo driver to tell MIA not to be at ringside during the CW Title match. Then he goes back to the limo but the Jung Dragons appear behind him. Cat tries to talk his way out of it, then they attack only to be low blows.
We're live from the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Tony welcomes us to the show before we get to our first match.
WCW Cruiserweight Championship: Juventud Guerrera vs Lt. Loco (c)
MIA and the Filthy Animals are banned from ringside.
They waste about a minute getting the Animals to the back before we actually get any action. Juvie offers his hand to Chavo, only to get slapped in the face followed by some rights. Juvie pulls back on an Irish whip attept to deliver some chops, then Loco reverses a whop off the ropes with a pair of atomic drops, then a clothesline to the outside. Juvie walks up the ramp and sits for some reason before returning ringside, baiting Chavo before a boot and a right. Juvie tries to suplex Chavo back in the ring but counters with one to the outside, followed by a springboard. Back in the ring, Loco stomps around a bot which allows Juvie to send him into the turnbuckle. Mounted rights in the corner for Juvie, then wastes time playing to the crowd which allows Chavo to deliver some clotheslines and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, into a cover for two. Chavo with the armbar and Juvie fights out, Chavo sent into the corner but gets a headscissor takedown, plus a powerslam into a cover for two. Juvie into the corner chops, then sends Chavo across the ring only to take each other out with clotheslines. Chavo with rights, various counters off the ropes until Juvie is sent to the outside, Chavo up top with a splash.
Animals come out and try to disguise themselves with Hallowen masks as the action returns to the ring. Chavo gets distracted by their arrival which allow Juvie to roll him up for two. Chavo's been tossed out of the ring, and Juvie slingshots a guillotine leg drop. Chavo sent into the guard rail then face first off the ring post. Back in the ring, Juvie with a scoop slam, then to the apron for a springboard splash and a cover for two. Juvie up top but he's cut off by Chavo. Juvie sunset flips into t running powerbomb for a cover but Chavo kicks out. Juvie with t front suplex, and as Juvie calls for the Juvie Elbow, out comes Rection through the crowd with a Clinton mask, then Juvie connects into the cover for two. The rest of MIA come out and the refs are busy getting rid of them, and out comes Guns from the ramp. Juvie goes up top to rip her top off and Juvie is crotched by Chavo, covers but the ref is still busy with MIA. Chavo goes for the tornado DDT, then it's blocked, but he gets Juvie with a sitout inverted DDT and a cover but Juvie kicks out.
Chavo goes for a powerbom, but after a few back and forth counters, Chavo's hit with the Juvie Driver for the pin, but Chavo gets his foot on the bottom crop. Chavo suddenly hits the tornado DDT to retain in 12:11. Not a particularly interesting match which had the "comedy" ruining what the match did have.
Chavo and Guns celebrate and the rest of MIA join them, then head to the back as we go to replays.
Cat is with the Jung Dragons in his office to put a stop to them I suppose. Then in comes Jarrett wanting to know where Hogan is, and in walks the Viking woman behind him. Hogan's not here yet though. Then he and the woman leave.
Out comes Vito, and we learn that as a result of his attack on Funk from Thunday, Funk isn't able to compete tonight. Vito says that Daytona has an Italian champion to cheer for. He reminds us he was supposed to face Funk and Johnny, so he has a mystery opponent tonight.
WCW Hardcore Championship: Big Vito (c) vs Screamin Norman Smily & Ralphus
Vito with a kendo stick and stickball bat shots to Ralphus' back, and Vito follows Norman who squeals up the ramp. More bat shots and Norman rolls off the stage. Vito with boots and rights against a guard rail and the fight makes its way to the back. Norman sends Vito into some cases, then a trashc an to the back. Wooden board broken over Vito's head and rights by Norman. Ralphus nails Vito in the head three times with a trash can. Big Wiggle by Norman and Ralphus grabs a trash can lid, Vito whipped into some kind of vehicle. Vito thrown into another trash can, and lid shots from Ralphus repeatedly. Ralphus stands there holding the can up over his face awkwardly for several seconds before Vito punches it back into his face. Vito with rights, then Norman whipped into a case, Norman face first of the hood of a semi-truck, then an equipment case. Lid shots to Norman and he tries to call the elevator. Norman into the sides of the elevaotr as Vito sends it up.
Vito and Raplhus make their way back to the arena and Ralphus has been cut a bit, Vito with forearms to the chest before returning to the ring. Vito with shots to the back and boots before Vito grabs a lid, lays over Ralphus crowd and swings his stick batt into the lide. Vito slides out a table from under the ring and ends up breaking one of the legs, so set it up on a slant in the middle. Vito lays Ralphus on it as Vito goes up top with a frog splash through the table to retain in 5:57.
Norman comes out a few seconds too late and Vito tries to get him in the ring, and Norman heads to the back as Vito poses with his title into a replay of the finish.
Goldberg is seen arriving with Hall's contract sticking out of his pocket. Then Okerlund is with Nash elsewhere backstage ahead of their match. Okerlund finally explains the ramifications of having Hall's contract, that Nash has to win it to keep Hall in WCW, otherwise he's finished. Nash says it's no secret that he hasn't been himself lately. He says some words that are bleeped, something about his wife and the bald-headed fuck named Goldberg holding Nash's best friend's contract over his head. He remembered all the fun he and Hall have had when they showed the video package on Nitro and there's no way he's going to let that end. He says Goldberg knows he's handed it to him once before, his only real defeat, and knows Nash can do it again. He tells Goldberg that for old time's sake, when he jackhammer's him in the middle of the ring... probably meant jackknife... he might do a little survey? I'm not sure what the hell that was, and Nash had all the energy of a dead battery.
Up next it's the Wedding Gown Match, and we get a video package recapping this love triangle over the last month or so.
Wedding Gown Match: Ms. Hancock (w/ David Flair) vs Daffney
Pre-Match: David comes out in a tuxedo and we see a wedding cake and archway set up at ringside. David takes off his tux jacket and lays it on the announce table, with a shaver on top, before helping Hancock out of her shoes and some making out before Daffney's out. Low blow to Flair before we start this match.
So the goal of the match is to rip the other's dress off as Flair helps Hancock some. Hancock with a handspring back elbow. Snapmares by Daffney. Hancock tries to throw Daffney into the wedding cake, then Daffney tries the same and David pulls her off, as the ref holds back Hancock for... reasons? They're both slapped, then pulled apart again and the ref is low blowed and pantsed, then David is pantsed, a low blow, then Hancock is sent face first into his crotch. Hancock lifts up Daffney's dress, then chased and David tries to shave her again, and they stand their awkwardly several moments until Crowbar finally comes out with a back suplex on David. Hancock retreats and Crowbar pantses himself. Chops on David, sent off the ropes and Crowbar with his front suplex. Crowbar chokes David in the corner with his pants and Daffney gets in position to shave him. Hancock gets a mic and has her music hit before stripping off her own dress. So Daffney wins in 4:18. Why did this happen?
The men sit around watching Hancock dance, before Daffney throws cake in her face. David and Crowbar fight with cake as Daffney gets some thrown into her by Hacock. David and Hancock retreat to the back after they all make a mess. Daffney leaves with Crowbar and still wants nothing to do with him
Cat is backstage reading something as we see Yang popping out of a nearby bin, then Jamie from a laundry bin, and Kaz from behind a mop. Cat wonders where the nearby music is coming from and wonders if he's losing it.
Back to commentary and talk about the absence of Hogan, and I guess Cat was looking through a list of names for possible replacements. They do better to hype this World Title match than WCW Has as a crew are trying the damnedest to clean up the cake, but they're only making it worse. This goes on a good 5-6 minutes at least. Commentary continues to try and kill time. Then finally another match.
WCW World Tag Team Championship: The Perfect Event (c) vs Kronic
Palumbo starts the match with Adams and Palumbo taunts the crowd a bit, then a lock up. Palumbo gets sent off the ropes and he tries to hit a shoulder block, but barely moves Adams. Off the ropes again and tossed over the ropes to the floor. Stasiak comes in and gets press slammed onto Palumbo to the floor. Champions take their titles and start to leave, but decide on returning to the ring, not before yelling at a fan though. Clark is in and flips off Palumbo, then locks up with Stasiak. Shoving in the corner then rights by Stasiak. Clark with some boots in the corner, then chops across the chest. Stasiak sent across the ring but gets a boot up, only to be caught with a Uranagi.

Adams and Stasiak double teaming, Adams whipped into a clothesline from Stasiak, and Palumbo with a chair to the back. Adams face first off another chair before getting rolled back in the ring. Palumbo with rights, Adams sent off the ropes and caught with a sleeper, which brings him down to a knee. He elbows himself free, off the ropes into a knee to the gut. Stasiak back in, Adams sent off the ropes into spinning back elbows, then a cover for two. Stasiak with rights, then Palumbo with some, Adams sent off the ropes into another sleeper and brings Adams to a knee a second time. then both knees. Ref raises the arm once, twice, and Adams begins to rise on the third, elbows to the ribs, off the ropes, and they take each other out with shoulder blocks.
Clark and Palumbo in, Clark with rights, Palumbo whipped into Stasiak and Clark stumbles with a clothes, then Palumbo whipped across the ring for a clothesline, Clark covers and Stasiak breaks it up. Stasiak clotheslined to the floor, and Clark for his pumphandle powerslam but Palumbo slips out and hits a DDT. Stasiak back in, off the ropes and shoulder block, then sends Adams to the outside with a dropkick, and one for Clark. Stasiak off the apron with a clothesline on Clark, then some boots. Back in the ring, Stasiak covers for two. Clark sent off the ropes, somes ducks and dodges until Stasiak hits a clothesline. Double flapjack on Clark, Stasiak covers and Adams breaks it up. Palumbo tossed to the outside, Stsiak sent off the ropes into the F5. Adams makes a proper tag, Palumbo sent off the apron, Stasiak whipped into the cover for double boots to the face. Kronic hit High Time, Adams covers and Palumbo breaks it up. Rights to Kronic, but he gets High Time too. Stasiak gets the Lex Flexer, misses a swung, as Kronic hit a Doomsday Device for the win in 13:38. Yeah this one went on a bit too long, and it was OK, but not a lot to it. At least there wasn't any real bullshit.
Kronic pose with their titles.
Cat is on the phone with someone and Cat hears the music again, looking around. In comes Jarrett wanting Hogan again, and threatens to screw with the show if Hogan doesn't show soon. Cat makes another phone call to someone and the music hits again. Dragons come out of hiding to attack with a kendo stick and nunchucks, before the next match.
Positively Kanyon vs Booker T
Lock up to start into some back and forth and Kanyon is quickly hit with a heel kick, rolling to the outside and losing his blonde wig. Another lock up and Kanyon with some rights drive Booker against the ropes, before some more back and forth and Kanyon runs into a dropkick. Kanyon sent off the ropes into a clothesline and his shirt gets ripped off and he's tossed back to the floor. Booker takes the book and takes the brick out before going after Kanyon, with an ax handle off the apron. Kanyon face first off the guard rail, then across into the guard rail again. Back in the ring, Booker goes up top with a flying clothesline into a cover for two.
Kanyon sends Booker to the floor, then they reverse each other's whips until Booker goes into the guard rail, then into the steps. Kanyon lays the steps on Booker's arm while grabs a chair and goes to the apron, cracking the chair off the steps as he leaps off. Booker is laid over the apron in the corner and his ribs are dropkicked into the ring post. Back to the ring, Kanyon goes to the middle rope to suplex Booker from the apron back into the ring, and Kanyon covers for two. Kanyon goes out and grabs the chair once more, boots to Booker before he wedges the chair into the corner. Booker with rights, Kanyon whipped into the corner but gets a boot up, only to run into a powerslam and a cover for a near fall.
Kanyon face first into the corner, reverses an Irish whip into the chair, Booker tries to go up and over but he's caught with a sitout Alabama Slam into a pin but Booker kicks out. Kanyou with a reverse Boston crab and Booker eventually counters it into a roll up for two. Booker ducks a clothesline and hits a forearm, then Kanyon is whipped into the chair into a spinebuster and a cover, but Kanyon gets his foot on the bottom rope. Booker grabs the chair and for reasons unknown the ref takes it away, as Kanyon grabs his book and nails Booker int he head with it. Kanyon covers but Booker kicks out. Kanyon realizes the brick is gone as Booker does a spinaroonie back to his feet, hitting Kanyon with the Harlem Side Kick as he turns back around. Scissors kick by Booker. Booker connects with the Book End and covers, but Kanyon kicks out. Booker goes up top and Jarrett comes out with a guitar to the head. Jarrett runs to the back, Kanyon brings Booker to the top rope to hit a Super Kanyon Cutter for the win in 10:07. I mean I could've given this a thumbs up, it had some good action, but then you have the flip-flop rules and the double bullshit, although I suppose Jarrett's interference does lead to something later, so...
Kanyon celebrates and the ref leaves, Kanyon posing and mocking Page before he leaves the ring.
Oh god, is this how they start one of his next gimmicks? Awesome is in the back hitting on the Viking lady as Pamela walks up for an interview. Awesome says he's beat Steiner twice already and it'll be a trifecta after tonight. Then he accuses her of being jealous before leaving.
WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship: Scott Steiner (c) (w/ Midajah) vs Mike Awesome
Steiner doesn't bother waiting as he nails a double ax handle off the apron while Awesome does his entrance. Awesome whipped into the guard, then backdrops Steiner over the rail and he seemingly ends up kicking a few fans on his landing. Awesome gets a running start and dives over the rail, driving Steiner back several feet through the crowd. Awesome with rights and they fight further through the crowd as Steiner takes control. Awesome whipped through some door and then Awesome with a trash can to the head. Scoop slam to the floor by Awesome, then more rights by Awesome, back through the crowd, Steiner with control sends him back to ringside.
Steiner with a chair to Awesome's head then face first off the steps before they take things to the ring. Awesome sent off the ropes into a clothesline and an eblow, Steiner covers for two. Awesome in the corner for boots and chops, Awesome whipped across the ring but gets a boot up. Awesome goes up top but quickly cut off by Steiner for the belly to belly suplex, then covers for a near fall. Steiner with mounted rights in the corner, then a backbreaker. Steiner goes for a suplex but it's blocked and Awesome lifts him up for one, before dropping him ribs first over the ropes. Awesome with an elbow drop off the apron. Awesome with a chair now to the ribs, then Steiner whipped into the guard rail. Awesome with the ring bell to the head, then grabs another chair nailing Steiner across the back. More chair shots to the ribs and back. then Steiner back first into the apron, and again, then the guard rail. Back in the ring, Awesome hangs up Steiner on the rope throat first, then a slingshot splash by Awesome for a cover and a near fall.
Awesome up top with a flying clothesline, cover and a kick out. Cat is out with a mic, Steiner blocks a suplex attempt to hit one of his own. Steiner ducks a clothesline and hits a belly to belly overhead suplex. Steiner calls and goes for the Recliner, but holds off to knock Cat off the apron. Butterfly suplex blocked and Awesome with a low blow, followed by an Alabama Slam into a jackknife pin for two. Awesome goes up and hits the frog splash, covers but Steiner kicks out again. Awesome calls for the Awesome Bomb, but it's blocked and he's sent back first into the corner. Awesome a waist lock, Steiner goes for elbows but ends up hitting the ref instead, and Awesome nails a clothesline. Cat slides in as Steiner's hold up and he kicks Awesome instead. Belly to belly overhead to Cat, Steiner cover but Awesome kicks out. Steiner with his spinning belly to belly, then calls for the Recliner as Cat tries to call him off, threatening to strip Steiner of the title if he applies the hold. Steiner flips him off and applies the hold, Cat calls for the referee to strip him of the title and calls for the bell in 9:20.
Cat rips the title out of Midajah's hands and Awesome's music plays, Steiner nailing Cat from behind as he heads up the ramp. Steiner returns to the ring with a half nelson suplex and Awesome lands on the back of his head, as Cat retreats to the back. Steiner's music hits as he poses in the corner.
So we have no winner and no champion as commentary talk about what's happened. Then more talk about Hogan, but now they send us to the graveyard, as they explain that the winner is the first to make it back to the arena and in the ring.
Graveyard Match: Vampiro vs The Demon (w/ Asya)
Charles Robinson is here even though they don't really need a ref until the end. Vamp has a torch as he lads Charles and Asya through the graveyard. There's a coffin there but Vamp's not inside. Demon sees Vamp up in a tree who leaps down, but Demon avoids it, before laying in with some rights. Chokeslam by Demon on the ground. Demon with more rights, Demon misses with a shovel shot and Vamp with a spin kick to the chest. Can't see a damn thing, they're literally using a flashlight as the only light source. Asya with a boot as Vamp threatens Demon, and Demon knocks him into a grave. Vamp hits him with something and they fight int he grave, until Vamp climbs out. Vamp eyes Asya and drags her off as Demon comes to, climbing out of the grave as Charles follows him in search of Vamp and Asya.
Asya's been left by water as Vamp comes out of it to pull Demon in. Fighting in the water now, Demon face first off a tree trunk. Vamp drags Asya off again and Vamp is starting to be pissed as the ref drags Demon out of the water. Scott Hudson: "Vampiro's got a head shart." Yeah you got that right. Demon starts heading off in the direction of Vamp with Charles. He finds the coffin from earlier with Vamp hiding inside, Asya laid beside it. Vamp spits something in his eyes and asks if Demon will join him, and he says never. Vamp grabs a small headstone to smash over Demon's head, before rolling him into the casket, then dumping it into an open gravenext to it. Vamp tosses the torch in and tells Demon to say hi to Sting in hell, before leaving. So far this thing has gone 8:08. Hoo boy....
Okerlund now is backstage with Douglas. He says that there are few guarantees in pro wrestling, few things you can chalk down and say you know that at the end of the night, things will be exactly as you guarantee or expect them to be. He says he's made few guarantees but he will make one tonight. He admits Buff is a great wrestler, but not greater than a franchise, and says they will enter the ring and fight like two gladiators, but guarantees that he will defeat Buff because he is a franchise, and he's just that damn good. Then walks off.
Buff Bagwell vs "The Franchise" Shane Douglas
Buff gets a "Franchise sucks" chant going which sets off Douglas. Douglas shoves Buff, then Buff with rights, Douglas sent off the ropes into a dropkick and rolls to the outside. Douglas into the guard rail, then eyes raked. Douglas across the floor into another guard rail, then boots to the ribs. More eye raking by Buff , but gets low blowed before getting dropped ribs first on the guard rail. Douglas pulls up some of the ringside padding and goes for a piledriver on the concrete floor, but Buff counters with a back drop. Back in the ring, Douglas off the ropes, then caught with a kick and a swinging neckbreaker and rolls to the floor again.
Buff is tripped up and Douglas with some rights, then Buff with some, only for Douglas to lift him up and send Buff nuts first into the ring post. Douglas get a chair, but gets booted before he can use it, then punches the chair back into Buff's face as he picks it up. Douglas with a chinlock on the floor for a few seconds before more stomps, then returns to the ring. Douglas with more boots before a snapmare, then a seated snapmare. Douglas cranks on the neck and now out comes Torrie for some reason. She walks up the steps and Douglas is distracted, she slaps him, Buff rolls him up for two.
Douglas sent off the ropes into a back elbow, then a clothesline and a crossbody into a cover for a near fall. Douglas counters a whip into the corner, but runs into an elbow, Buff to the middle rope for a splash into a cover and a kick out. Buff now distracted by Torrie, and she steps into the ring. They kiss, then she low blows him as Douglas distracts the ref, then he hits the Pittsburgh Plunge into a cover but Buff kicks out to Douglas' shock. Buff with a double-arm DDT, covers but Douglas kicks out. Buff to the middle rope now but Torrie holds onto his leg. Buff shoves her down and Douglas pulls him down into some kind of jawbeaker or stunner to get the win in 7:55. So why did Torrie slap Douglas just to turn on Buff? Another fairly decent match until the BS started.
Torrie joins Douglas to celebrate and to kiss, then they leave together.
Hogan is seen walking backstage as we go to Okerlund, who's standing by with Jarrett. Jarrett calls him a Jurassic slap ass as he gets all excited and says his patience with Gene is running short. Jarrett says that Hogan's made a lot of enemies over the years, allies aren't hard to find tonight. Okerlund wants clarification on that last bit and Jarrett asks if he's seen The Usual Suspects, and tells him to wait and see before walking off.
Video package for this match, all of it has been done by Jarrett and some by Hogan. The video package is seemingly cut short as we go to the ring, where Michael Buffer is here to do introductions. He says that for the past two weeks, two of the biggest stars in the universe have been on a collision course, and tonight they shall collide. In that ring, for the undisputed WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World.
WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Jeff Jarrett (c) vs Hollywood Hogan
Pre-Match: Jarrett's music plays and there's like 2 or 3 minutes of camera pans and commentary before Russo makes his way out with a bat. He steps into the ring and out comes Jarrett about a moment later. Can't hear a damn thing Buffer is saying because the music is louder than his mic. Jarrett has retreated up the ramp as Hogan grabs a mic. He calls Jarrett the Chosen One because Hogan has chosen him to powerbomb his ass through the mat for Nash, and tells him to come back down for an asskicking. Jarrett stands there arms crossed before slowly making his way back down to the ring.
Jarrett lays down, Hogan looks on in confusion and Russo says something as he holds up the title. Hogan looks down at Jarrett as Russo climbs to the apron, tossing the title in to Hogan and heads up the ramp. Commentary speculate about going against the script while Hogan asks for a mic and Russo continues towards the back. Hogan asks if this is Russo's deal, and says that this is the reason the company's in the shape it's in because of bullshit like this. Hogan puts his boot on Jarrett's chest for the win in 1:20.
Jarrett nonchalantly leaves the ring and heads right to the back as Hogan looks on.
Over to commentary who try to put this over as non-scripted and Tony says we've all been swerved, as Hogan heads to the back as well. More talking and speculating by commentary.
Vamp has shown back up in the arena as we see him somewhere backstage, and he walks right past Hogan. Vamp makes his way out now, so I guess Vamp officially wins the Graveyard Match. Vamp has a mic and says the dark circle has now been completed, the Demon is dead. He promised the whole world that he'd destroy that pain in the ass Dale Torborg and the other one in Sting, and he did it. He says Dale chose to walk on the dark side. Now out come the Stings from Nitro and they're dragging a coffin down the ramp with bats in hands.Vamp goes out to meet them and out pops presumably Sting, as the other Stings hold Vamp. Sting with bat shots as the lights flash rapidly and Vamp is thrown into the coffin. Lights go out and the presumed Sting disappears.
Okerlund is backstage with Goldberg. He says it's taken all the professional courtesy he's got not to rip up Hall's contract, because he's more intense and pissed off than he's ever been. He wants to make Nash suffer though, and will beat his ass from ring post to ring post, and up the contract right in front of his face, then the Outsiders as everyone knows them are history. He says he ends Hall's career tonight personally, and there's not a damn thing he can do about it, or Nash for that matter. Then he walks off.
Out comes Russo now with a mic. He says that the only to say this is to tell it like it is. He says that three weeks ago, he left WCW and didn't know if he'd come back, because from day one that he's been there, he's done nothing but deal with the "bald shit of the politics" behind the curtain. He says he's got a wife, three kids and really doesn't need this shit. The reason he did come back though for everyone one in the back who bust their ass for WCW week in and week out, for the Booker Ts, for everyone in MIA, the Animals, Jarrett, the guys behind the curtain that give a shit about the company, and makes it clear that that "goddamn politician" Hulk Hogan sure doesn't give a shit. He starts to explain what happened earlier, says he's been playing politics with Hogan all day, because wants to play his creative control card, and to Hogan that meant beating Jarrett even when he knew it was bullshit. Hogan got his wish, took his belt and went the hell home, and he promises we'll never see that piece of shit again. He says he sat among the people and knows they paid good money to come, and says nobody's getting ripped off, and though Hogan has the title belt, he calls it the Hulk Hogan Memorial Belt because it don't mean shit. He says there will be a new belt, and as far as he's concerned, it still belong to the one guy who busts his ass every week, love him or hate him, that being Jarrett. he says though that Jarrett will defend the title tonight, against the son of a bitch who, for 14 years, has been busting his ass in WCW and can't get a god damn break because of Hogan, that being Booker T. Man that line has a whole new meaning now that we know he's a racist. He credits Booker and Jarrett as the reason he's still in the stinkin' business to begin with. He tells Hogan, that big, bald-headed son of a bitch, to kiss his ass before tossing the mic down and leaving.
Commentary are left gobsmacked as they talk about what just happened, but we still have one more match before the new main event. We have the video package for that match to recap what's happened since Goldberg turned heel. Nash takes his sweet time making his way out to the ring.
Kevin Nash vs Goldberg
Scott Hall's contract on the line.
Nash looks at Hall's contract that Goldberg's set down on the announce table before returning to the ring. Lots of standing around and crowd taunting, then a lock up for a shoving contest, Nash get's cornered until the ref forces a break. Goldberg with rights, then Nash with a knee and an elbow to the neck. More knees and elbows to the head in the corner, then choking with his boot until Goldberg pushes out of the corner and sweeps the leg. Goldberg with throws Nash across the ring into a cover for two. Goldberg with body shots as he ducks clotheslines before a side kick to the ribs takes Nash down. Nash with a chokeslam, covers for two. Steiner makes his way out as Nash goes for a neckbreaker but Goldberg fights out and gets a chinlock applied. More rights and boots in the corner by Goldberg, Nash whipped across the ring but gets a boot up, ducks a clothesline and hits a sidewalk slam into a cover and two. Goldberg goes for the spear but goes face first into the middle turnbuckle instead. Nash pulls down the straps and goes for the jackknife but Steiner nails him from behind. Nash reverses a whip off the ropes and hits a big boot, only to be hit with a spear. Goldberg delivers the jacknife for the win in 5:20.
Goldberg rips up the contract as promised, while Steiner puts Nash in the Recliner so he can watch. Steiner poses in the corner as Goldberg leaves, Nash out cold. Steiner and Goldberg bump fists and Steiner flips off the ground as they leave.
Okerlund is with Booker. Booker has no idea what's going on, as does no one else, and he's gonna do what he's gotta do. He says opportunity has knocked and he'll be damned is he doesn't answer the door. He says he's going to do what he has to do to take the gold home, put it around his waist and take it into the next millennium. Then leaves.
We get Buffer again doing the introductions. He says we've been witness to one of the most amazing nights in the history of professional wrestling, sports and entertainment, and the history making continues, as we see a second match of the evening for the WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World.
WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Booker T vs Jeff Jarrett (c)
Pre-Match: Buffer is cut off mid-introduction for Booker as Jarrett's music hits, but he continues on, still can't hear a damn thing he's saying though.
Booker tries to get to Jarrett but he retreats into the ropes. Then a lock up into a bit of chain wrestling. Another lock up and the ring audio has severely dropped several moments as Booker shoves Jarrett into the corner. Jarrett with a waist lock, then Booker into a side headlock for some back and forth and Jarrett's caught with a dropkick coming off the ropes. Jarrett leaves the ring to regroup before soon making his way back in. Jarrett with a cheap shot and some rights as they tease a lock up, driving Booker into the corner who goes face first off the turnbuckle. Booker reverses a whip off the ropes and though Jarrett slips through the legs, he eats a Harlem Side Kick, then tossed to the floor, Booker with an ax handle off the apron.
Jarrett tossed over the guard rail and Booker follows with some rights, then Booker thrown through the same doors as we saw earlier. Jarrett drags Booker back through the crowd and Booker whips Jarrett face first into a wall. Back through the crowd some more and Jarrett takes control, tossing Booker back to ringside. Chair to Booker's back, then off the announce table sending Booker tumbling over. Jarrett piledrives Booker on top of the announce table as Jarrett takes a drink of water. Back in the ring, Jarrett with boots, then Booker back up with rights, only to be sent off the ropes and caught with a sleeper hold. Booker drops to his knees, then to a seated position as he starts to fade. Referee raises the arm once, twice, but Booker starts to rise on the third, elbows to the ribs, Jarrett whipped into the corner but gets a boot up and reapplies the sleeper. Booker sends him off the ropes and gets a sleeper of his own, only to be caught with a shin breaker. Jarrett goes for the figure 4 but Booker counters with an inside cradle for two. Jarrett gets the figure 4 applied on the second try, Booker tries to reverse the pressure but Jarrett rolls him back over. Booker tries again and he does but Jarrett grabs the ropes immediately.

FINAL THOUGHTS
Well... I mean this show isn't as bad as it's made out to be, but it certainly has more bad than good, between the random turns and other bullshit, not to mention this Hogan thing which will now go absolutely nowhere. Despite all that though, main event was excellent and Booker's got his first of five WCW Titles now. With a run time of 2:49:44, this show had a total 1:32:07 of wrestling.
