WCW Weekof July 24, 2000 Recap
Nitro
- Lance Storm beats Vito in a title vs title match, winning the Hardcore Championship and retaining the Canadian Heavyweight Championship
- Goldberg challenges Booker to a World Title Match, and though Booker accepts, Cat leaves it to the fans at home to vote on a challenger.
- Loco and Guns beat David and Hancock after a roll up from Guns
- Jarrett demands a World Title shot, but gets a Tag Title shot instead
- Sting promises to remove his mask covering his burns and doesn't care what the booking committee has to say
- Goldberg promises to take out whoever wins the vote if he doesn't
- Bryan Clark is attacked before his title defense, so Adams defends against Jarrett in a singles match, until Clark returns. Match is a no contest after they put the ref through the announce table.
- Vamp talks Cat into giving him a match with Muta, but it's just a set it to lay out Cat.
- Sting wins the vote, but he's attacked by Goldberg, who takes his place. Goldberg wins the match after beating the crap out of Booker and leaving him unable to defend himself, but Cat declares he isn't champion because Booker wasn't pinned or submitted.
- Booker demands a rematch with Goldberg for later.
- Kanyon lays out Buff and kidnaps Judy
- Awesome beats Douglas after a sex tape distraction on the NitroVision. He also lays out Storm who appears out of nowhere.
- Filthy Animals lose a Caged Heat match also involving Jindrak & O'Haire, MIA and Perfect Event, so they won't be in the tag title match at the PPV.
- Booker once again retains the World Title over Goldberg, this time after interference by Cat and Jarrett and gets the pin. Goldberg though kicks out at 3 and lays him out with a spear after the match.
Thunder
- Jung Dragons smash Smooth's limo window, and he demands a match with them.
- Filthy Animals beat 3 Count after Tank chases someone to the back, Jung Dragons interfere and Juvie pins Shannon
- Jarrett challenges Booker to a Bunkhouse Brawl, which Cat makes it a Lights Out match tooS
- Skip Over wins his debut match against Artist after distraction from Kwee Wee
- Smooth beats Jung Dragons in a squash
- Judy wants a match with Kanyon and gets it
- Hancock beats Guns in arm wrestling thanks to David, then a post-match attack is saved by Wall, mow renamed Sgt. AWOL
- Vamp and Muta's open challenge is answered by Jindrak and O'Haire, who lose via heel hook from Muta to Jindrak. Post-match beatdown is saved by Kronic.
- Kanyon vs Judy ends in no contest after Kanyon uses her to make a stip for the PPV, then lays her out with a Kanyon Cutter and leaves.
- Kidman swaps Torrie's tape and there's a joke about how Douglas can't perform in bed. Kidman gloats about it backstage but he's laid out by Douglas.
- Lance retains the Hardcore Championship under Canadian Rules against Vito via submission. Lance won't break the hold and Awesome makes the save.
- Goldberg has a sitdown worked shoot interview much like Nash the week before.
- Jarrett beats Booker in the Bunkhouse Brawl after the ref calls the match, after Jarrett smashes a guitar over his knee and puts him in a figure 4 in the ropes with a bullrope tied in.
