WWF Week of July 10, 2000 Recap
RAW
- Benoit challenges Rock to a non-title match, with a title match at the PPV on the line if he wins
- T&A beat Too Cool and the Hardyz in an elimination 3-way with help from Tazz
- Jericho gets a clean win over Road Dogg after a botched Lionsault. DX nearly implode.
- Angle tries to apologize to Taker and give him a scooter, but Taker's having none of it
- Somehow there's a DQ in a Triple Threat, and Val retains the IC Title against Kish and Kane after a belt shot
- DX and Steph set a plan in motion, first by trying to lure him out into an obviously dumb trap, which leads to HHH wanting X-Pac in a match later.
- E&C get out of defending their titles as Christian fakes being sick, which leads to Edge beating Bradshaw after a bell shot.
- Trish and Lita in a Street Fight goes to a no contest after Steven Richards censors Trish being stripped an takes her to the back.
- Triple H and X-Pac have a match until Jericho comes out, lured in by their plan and gets beaten to a bloody pulp with a sledgehammer, leaving the arena in an ambulance.
- Benoit vs Rock at first ends with Benoit getting the submission win, after a screwjob finish, after Shane takes out the ref and takes his shirt, but then the original ref reverses the decision and gives Rock the DQ win in the main event.
Smackdown
- Rikishi and Too Cool beat T&A and Val after Hardyz and Lita take the latter two and Trish out of the equation.
- DX beat Hardyz after interference by T&A, Val & Trish
- Malenko with a non-title win over Al Snow after Steven Richards censor Malenko's ladies and Al's blowup dolls
- Eddie and Chyna get a DQ win over Benoit after Benoit refuses to break the Crossface on a rope break. Chyna is nailed in the back with the European Title by Shane as she tries to make the save, then Rock make the save, laying out the tag champions in the process.
- Rock gives Benoit a title shot at the PPV now that he's made it personal, only to be laid out by Benoit again.
- E&C get out of defending the titles again, Edge feigning a back injury after what Rock did to them, and Farooq gets a win over Christian after he misses a bell shot. Farooq is still nailed with the bell after the match.
- Angle is seen getting flirty with Steph by HHH, and she makes it seem he forced himself on her, which leads to HHH costing him a match with Kane.
- Blackman retains the Hardcore Title over Crash
- HHH beats Taker in a No DQ Match after Angle inadvertently nails him with a sledgehammer, aiming for HHH.
