WWF Week of July 3, 2000 Recap
RAW
- Foley books HHH vs Jericho for the PPV, and HHH vs Kish for the IC Title for later.
- Benoit gets a DQ win, and Guerrero retains the European Title after interference by Chyna, who then gets put in the Crossface.
- Shane complains about not making the big decisions, and Mick gives him a shot at Rock's title later in the show.
- IC Title Match between Rikishi and HHH ends in double countout, Rikishi retains. Jericho attacks after the match and HHH eats a Stinkface. Foley promises a handicap match for Jericho for what happened against DX.
- Val gets a win over Jeff Hardy after interference by Tazz... again, for reasons.
- Handicap Match turns out to be 3-on-2 in Jericho's favour, joined by the Acolytes to get the win.
- Edge & Christian retain the tag titles over Kane and Taker after a scepter shot by Angle on Taker. Champs are still laid out.
- Malenko retains the Light Heavyweight Title with a clean win over Crash, then Malenko is attacked by Ivory and Jacqueline.
- Patterson and Brisco try to talk Foley into calling off Shane's match and fail
- Angle is forced to team with Brooklyn Brawler, in a losing effort against the Dudleyz after Angle abandons Brawler. Brawler is put through a table after the match.
- Test beats Godfather after the latter is distracted by Steven Richards censoring his hos
- Al Snow tries to read Blackman a poem, but Kaientai and the Posse get laid out by him instead and Blackman hears none of it.
- Rock retains via DQ after Benoit nails him from behind with a chair, then puts him in the Crossface for a good 3 minutes after the match, until Foley comes out to end the show.
Smackdown
- Angle beats Jericho after a low blow with the scepter from Steph. Angle throws food and milk on Taker's bike as he celebrates backstage.
- Benoit and the tag champs get all friendly as Benoit wants a shot at Rock's title. Mick books a match between them against Rock, Eddie and Chyna for later.
- HHH gets jealous at Steph being around Jericho and Angle
- Dudleyz beat D'Lo and Chaz, despite getting distracted by a disappearing table, thanks to Steven Richards.
- Foley books HHH in an elimination Handicap Match, promising a match with Jericho on Raw if he wins.
- Ivory and Jackie beat Malenko with help from Crash
- Val wins the IC Title from Kish with help from Trish and T&A, and a camera shot by Tazz for... again, reasons.
- Blackman retains the Hardcore Title over Boss Man with help from Al Snow
- Kane & Taker get the clean win over T&A. Kane tries to chokeslam Trish but Val makes the save.
- HHH eliminated Kaientai, but is pinned by Brooklyn Brawler with help from Jericho in his handicap match. HHH then beats up and bloodies his opponents. Jericho also hijacks the McMahon limo.
- Rock, Eddie and Chyna beat Benoit and E&C after Chyna hits Christian with a powerbomb. Rock fights Shane to the back and allows Benoit to put Chyna in the crossface again before Rock is able to make the save to end the show.
