WCW Week of August 14, 2000 - New Blood Rising Fallout

Nitro No opening video and pyro as we go immediately to the ring, where Russo has a mic and standing beside him is Tank. Russo calls this deja vu all over again, reminding us how he stood in that ring a month ago and made history, he made an example out of someone, we know who it is because that piece of shit hasn't been around since. Of course he means Hogan but he's not allowed to mention him by name thanks to that lawsuit. Tonight he says he's going to make an example on live TV out of another piece of shit in Goldberg. Russo has taken offense to Goldberg screwing with him, and says he came to the show to fire him tonight on national TV, but Brad Siegel wouldn't let him because the fans love him. He says screw the fans and Goldberg, and since he couldn't fire him, he's going to have Goldberg's ass kicked instead by Tank. Russo reminds us of what happened at the Philips Arena... WCW Week of August 7, 2000 Recap

Nitro - Dark Carnival (Vamp, Muta, Demon) beat Jung Dragons. Sting attacks Carnival and calls out Goldberg, but gets Steiner instead and laid out. - Cat makes Sting vs Steiner in Pipe on a Pole, plus Storm vs Booker for the World Title for later. - Kronic retain the tag titles over Jindrak and O'Haire via DQ after a Lex Flexer shot from Stasiak. Jindrak and O'Haire turn heel and beat down Kronic along with Filthy Animals, who then steal the titles. - Kanyon kidnaps Pamela for a mixed tag against the Bagwells, which they lose after Pamela is saved by Okerlund. - Russo does a sit-down "shoot" interview that's mostly a bunch of bullshit. - Steiner beats Sting after Rick takes down the pipe and they lay out Sting - Booker retains the World Title over Storm. Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? Tony tells us that 3 Count is more concerned with the gold record, and the Dragons want the contract so 3 Count can't make any more records.
