WCW Week of August 7, 2000 Recap
Nitro
- Dark Carnival (Vamp, Muta, Demon) beat Jung Dragons. Sting attacks Carnival and calls out Goldberg, but gets Steiner instead and laid out.
- Cat makes Sting vs Steiner in Pipe on a Pole, plus Storm vs Booker for the World Title for later.
- Kronic retain the tag titles over Jindrak and O'Haire via DQ after a Lex Flexer shot from Stasiak. Jindrak and O'Haire turn heel and beat down Kronic along with Filthy Animals, who then steal the titles.
- Kanyon kidnaps Pamela for a mixed tag against the Bagwells, which they lose after Pamela is saved by Okerlund.
- Russo does a sit-down "shoot" interview that's mostly a bunch of bullshit.
- Steiner beats Sting after Rick takes down the pipe and they lay out Sting
- Booker retains the World Title over Storm. Jarrett attacks after the match and bashes a guitar over Heidi, who was on commentary with Awesome, and then gets laid out by Booker.
- Torrie Appreciation Night turns into fat shaming on a teenage Torrie. He's whipped with a leather belt by Douglas.
- Jarrett beats Awesome with help from Storm.
- Sting and Nash beat the Steiners with help with Goldberg, who then lays out Sting, and a brawl between him, Scott and Nash is left on a cliffhanger to end the show.
- Somewhere in all this, MIA take out Animals, Kronic get their titles back and chokeslam Disco on the hood of a car, and Guns is taken out in a mud pit by Tygress and Hancock.
Thunder
- Kronic retains the tag titles against Jindrak, O'Haire and Perfect Event in a Handicap Match. Filthy Animals steal the belts again.
- Elix Skipper beats Crowbar clean
- Jarrett smashes a guitar over Jimmy Hart
- MIA beat 3 Count and Tank with help from a ladder
- Mike Sanders is now "Above Average" and challenges Norman to a Hardcore Match. Despite Norman declining, and despite a guitar shot to Norman by Jarrett, he still beats Sanders after he knocks himself out with a chair.
- Storm beats Awesome in a Flag Match after Heidi becomes Canadian
- Kidman makes out with Reno's girlfriend

- Buff and Okerlund beat Kanyon and Madden with a Blockbuster on Madden. Kanyon still hits Buff with a Cutter, then goes after Okerlund but Stevie Ray makes the save.
- Sting and Cat beat Vamp and Muta after a Feliner to Vamp. Sting and Cat are laid out to end the show.
New Blood Rising
- 3 Count beat Jung Dragons in a Double Ladder Match to take back their gold record and keep the recording contract.

- Judy is put on a forklift rather than a pole, and despite interference from Arquette, Buff wins. Kanyon than lays out Arquette with a Cutter.
- Kronic retain the tag titles over Perfect Event, MIA and Jindrak and O'Haire despite Filthy Animals as refs trying to screw them after Chavo takes a ref shirt and doesn't ensure his own team's victory. Vamp and Muta also interfere.
- Kidman beats Douglas in a Strap Match after a misstep by Torrie, but still gets hung with the strap after the match. Vito makes the save only to be laid out by Reno.
- Guns beats Hancock in the ROTC Match after weird stomach pains. Hancock is hauled out on a stretcher in what we're supposed to believe is not scripted.
- Sting squashes Demon, then Carnival try to hang Sting and Kronic make the save, leading to a title match later.
- Storm beats Awesome to retain the Canadian Heavyweight Title in a Canadian Rules Match with special enforcer Jacques Rougeau, despite the fact Awesome beat Storm clean three different times in this match, after the rules were changed multiple times, and Storm only won after Rougeau clocked Awesome behind the ref's back.
- Vamp and Muta win the tag titles from Kronic after interference from the returning Harris Brothers
- Nash beats Steiner and Goldberg after Goldberg "goes against the script," then interference from Midajah fails to help Steiner win.
- Booker retains the World Title over Jarrett after two ref bumps.
