WCW Week of August 14, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Russo calls Goldberg a fake tough guy and sicks Tank on him, who gets his ass kicked.
- Kidman and Vito get a clean win on Reno and Douglas. Douglas gets handcuffed to the ropes when his plan backfires, but Perfect Event, Jindrak and O'Haire run down and attack Vito and Kidman anyways.
- David almost attacks Guns until he finds out Hancock is pregnant
- Storm retains the Canadian Heavyweight Title over Awesome despite Cat acting as special ref, after PCO interferes and Rougeau makes the count.
- Lance gives PCO the SHIT and Elix the 100kg and Under Title. Cat makes them defend later.
- Jarrett beats Booker, but Booker retains via DQ after Goldberg interferes and lays out Jarrett
- Norman beats PCO for the SHIT despite wanting out of the Hardcore division.
- Nash is supposed to defend his contendership against Steiner but says he won't be in the ring unless it's against Booker.
- Rey and Juvie beat Dark Carnival for the tag titles after interference by Sting. Kronic are supposed to do commentary but they fight with the Harrises before the match. Then Carnival get a Four Corners Match with Sting later.
- Elix retains the 100kg and Under Title over Kwee-Wee after using his Grey Cup ring to knock him out.
- Sting wins the 4 Corners Match after Demon turns on Dark Carnival to help him win.
- Nash interviews a cardboard of Scott Hall, then Booker comes out for Nash's challenge only to be laid out by Steiner, who then lays out Nash. Then it's implied Goldberg puts Midajah through a table backstage with a jackhammer to end the show.

Thunder
- Nash gives Rick a match for his contendership for later. Nash can apparently just make matches purely because he's #1 contender.
- Kronic debut the Kronic Two Minute Warning, basically a 2 min time limit match, and squash 4 nameless jobbers in a handicap match.
- Disco tries to recruit Mike Sanders to the Filthy Animals
- David tries to propose to Hancock but he's attacked by AWOL instead. Then she just puts his ring on and leaves.
- Animals retain the tag titles over Jindrak and O'Haire after Sanders turns on the Animals, then Perfect Event and Reno interfere and the match is thrown out.
- Muta beats Demon after misting him.
- Team Canada beat MIA after a belt shot to Rection from Elix, and a tap out to the Maple Leaf
- Cat then challenges Storm for his Canadian Heavyweight Title, and puts up his commissionership in the process. PCO interferes on Lance's behalf, so Storm retains and Cat is still commissioner by DQ.
- Okerlund beats Madden in a Kamloops Street Fight with help from Norman, Vito and Pamela, and despite interference by PCO.
- Vito gets a clean win over PCO. Then Reno, Kidman, Perfect Event, Mike Sanders, Jindrak, O'Haire and Filthy Animals all run down for a massive brawl. Team Canada and Mike Awesome come out too for some reason.
- Rick is laid out backstage by Goldberg and hauled out in an ambulance.
- Booker and Nash talk, then Booker is blindsided by Nash to end the show.

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? Tony tells us that 3 Count is more concerned with the gold record, and the Dragons want the contract so 3 Count can't make any more records. WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
