WCW Week of August 21, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Elix retains the 100kg & Under Title against Loco after using his Grey Cup ring
- Russo tries to convince Goldberg to leave the company, with guaranteed money, but he rips up the release form. Steiner then implies disturbing things about Goldberg's girlfriend before kidnapping her. Booker then lays out Russo. He also makes Booker vs Palumbo for the title for later.
- Guns and Loco beat Paisley and Kwee-Wee clean
- Dark Carnival introduce the JCW Heavyweight Title and make a match with Tank for later.
- Natural Born Thrillers beat Filthy Animals in an 8-man tag clean. Tygress gets a Seanton Bomb after the match.
- Palumbo vs Booker first ends in a screwy finish with Palumbo winning the title, thanks to referee Russo, plus interference from Thrillers and Nash, but somehow Cat has the same power as Russo and orders the match restarted. Booker retains. Vito also tried to help Booker and he gets Nash later.
- Vamp vs Tank for the JCW Title ends in a no contest after ICP and Muta attack
- Norman retains the Hardcore Title over Bryan Clark thanks to the Harris Brothers
- Nash beats Vito via DQ after Booker interferes.
- In a match where somehow Jarrett can pin his partner Storm and win the title, Storm retains in a tag match against Rection and Awesome, after Jarrett nails Awesome with a guitar after Storm ducks, and it's not clear who he was aiming for.
- Steiner uses Beth (Goldberg's girlfriend) to lure him out. Goldberg is attacked by Jarrett with a chair on his way out, then Rick comes out and Nash. Steiner puts Beth in the Recliner after Booker and Goldberg are cuffed to the ropes.

Thunder
- Kwee-Wee beats Cajun mostly clean. Guns and Paisley fight into commercial to the back which leads to a match later.
- Sanders tries to have Cat put Disco's career on the line in a match with himself.
- Crowbar's heart is broken because Daffney's fallen for her secret admirer.
- Harris Brothers squash Jung Dragons, then they fight with Kronic through the crowd. Leia Meow also comes out to takes Dragons to the back.
- Reno beats Crowbar after Crowbar's distracted by Daffney and her admirer, who looks a lot like Crowbar. Lookalike Crowbar then makes a post-match save with a lead pipe.
- Loco also tries to gets Disco's career on the line.
- Tank fires 3 Count before they're set to have an 8-man tag.
- Tenay is suddenly a misogynist heel and thinks Midajah has no business getting in the ring.
- Thrillers try to lay out Booker and Vito and fail.
- Norman is hit in the throat by Muta backstage.
- 3 Count lay out Tank with baseball bats, which help Dark Carnival get the win in the 8-man tag.
- Norman and MI Smooth have an "I Quit" Match. Norman is supposed to quit so he can get rid of the title, but can't talk after the throat shot. Smooth beats the crap out of him and "quits" in his frustration.
- Elix pays off Awesome and Rection ahead of a Canadian Heavyweight Title match.
- Okerlund tries to bribe Cat with Viagara and money to have Disco's career put on the line.
- Paisley beats Guns with help from Tygress.
- Animals try to get rid of their own member as they try to convince Cat to put Disco's career on the line. Then we see a long line of people waiting anxiously to hear good news about it.
- Sanders beats Disco clean.
- Elix's plan to pay off Rection and Awesome backfires, but Storm still retains the Canadian Heavyweight Title after a ring shot from Elix.
- Booker and Vito beat Nash and Palumbo via DQ after Thrillers and Jarrett run out. Booker's knee is destroyed with a chair post match

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? Tony tells us that 3 Count is more concerned with the gold record, and the Dragons want the contract so 3 Count can't make any more records. WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
