WCW 100kg & Under Championship: The Kwee-Wee (w/ Paisley) vs "Prime Time" Elix Skipper (c) (w/ Major Guns)
Kwee-Wee with some rights and a front slam, then a dropkick sends Elix out to the floor. Back in the ring, knee to the gut and an arm wringer by Elix until KW trips him up and delivers an elbow, covers for two. Arm drag by KW into an arm lock, then Elix tries to counter with an arm drag but KW holds on. Exchanging waist locks until Elix forces a break in the ropes. Another arm drag and an arm lock by KW, Elix fights out, sent ff the ropes, KW tries to leapfrog but they botch it. KW back to the arm until he's sent into the corner, and a forearm to the back of the head by Elix. Boot to the head and some to the back by Elix, then an uppercut, cover for two. KW sent off the ropes, hangs on, Elix back dropped to the apron and flips over KW, then a kidney punch and a half nelson suplex, folded up for two. Another pair of covers by Elix for two. Back suplex by Elix near the corner, then a handstand leg drop from the top rope and a cover for two.

Elbows his way free only to be nailed in the back of the head. KW sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline, goes for a crossbody and is caught. Elix to the apron with a springboard moonsault and nails the cameraman in the process. Elix and KW break the 10 count and Elix covers but KW gets his foot on the bottom rope.
Elix goes for the Overdrive but KW counters with a powerbomb. Now for some reason the Thrillers come out. KW with rights, Elix sent off the ropes into a gut punch and a knee lift. Hip toss from the corner and a Thesz Press by KW followed by lefts and rights, then a dropkick. KW covers for two. Elix sent off the ropes into a back drop, another cover by KW for two. Elix is tossed out to the floor and nails the guard rail, then press slammed face first onto it, another botch. Sanders comes in from behind and nails KW with a stick ball bat in the back of the knee as the ref goes out to check on Elix. Paisley slaps him. Elix goes up top with a crossbody but KW rolls through into a cover for two. Elix goes after the knee and slams it into the mat. KW sent into the corner, gets a boot up, Elix avoids a clothesline and clips the bad knee. Overdrive to retain in 11:07. I'm not sure what the point of the interference was if it didn't directly lead to a finish, but this is WCW overcomplicating things again. Setting that and the botches aside it was a good opener.
Over to commentary who run down the rest of the card.
Out come 3 Count, I guess for a match announced between here and Thunder. They go to do their music but MIA interrupt.
3 Count vs Cpl. Cajun, Sgt. AWOL & Lt. Loco

Double suplex is countered by Evan with a double DDT with help from Shannon, double cover but AWOL makes the save. Cajun with a spinout fireman's carry slam to Shane back in the ring for the win in 10:28. Well that was better than the opener, there was no bullshit and it was fast paced.
We go to footage from earlier in the day where Nash, Steiner an Jarrett arrived. A kid comes up wanting an autograph from Nash. Nash of course wants money but the kid doesn't have enough.
Harris Brothers make their way out. Then Kronic. Adams gets the mic and wants to up the ante, make this a First Blood Match too. Harrises accept.
First Blood Chain Match: Harris Brothers vs Kronic
Pre-Match: So this is much like a Strap Match, where one member of each team will be chained to the other by the wrist. First team to be busted open loses.

Another bat shot to Clark. Ref comes to as Ron leaves the ring, Adams is busted open and calls for the bell, so the Harrises win in 6:40.
Kronic attack Harrises after the match but they escape. The ref gets High Time. Kronic leaves.
Pamela is backstage with MIA, specifically Rection who's up next. Rection says he's been waiting for this night a long time, both personally and professionally, and tonight he'll finally prove to Lance that the US is still the greatest country in the world, and for every lie Lance has told, for every ounce of hate in his blood, there are a thousand Americans that will lay down and die for their country. He says that tonight he'll bring back the US Title and Guns back where they belong, not in Canada, back to the US with MIA. He dedicates this to his friend, partner, mentor Duggan, who walks into shot. Cat has made him the special enforcer for this match, so no Canadian rules.
WCW Canadian Heavyweight Championship: Lance Storm (c) (w/ Major Guns) vs Gen. Rection
Major Guns is also on the line. Hacksaw Jim Duggan as special ringside enforcer.
Pre-Match: Lance is out first with a mic to be serious for a minute. He says he stands with mixed emotions, so close yet so far from home, and can't believe that being that close to the greatest country in the world the fans in Buffalo haven't packed up and moved north of the border by now. He says tonight is there opportunity, says after he beats Rection in front of that has-been hero Duggan he invites them to join him for the drive up to Kitchener, Ontario for Nitro, because after they get a taste of the good life they'll apply for citizenship and never come back to the hell hole of Buffalo. Then he calls for them to rise and for once the anthem is played in full before Rection makes his way out, then Duggan with his flag and 2x4 clad in a ref shirt.
Lance attacks from behind as Duggan salutes to Duggan, then Rection face first in the corner for some rights and chops, that Rection no sells. Storm sent into the corner for some chops, then whipped across the ring into a back body drop and some more rights. Storm tossed out to the floor. Lance with back elbows before sending Rection off the ropes into a dropkick, Lance covers again for two. Rection shoved out to the floor and caught with a springboard crossbody from Lance. Rection sent into the guard rail, then Lance wastes time taunting Duggan which allows Rection to kick him, then a forearm to the back. Back in the ring, Rection caught with a jawbreaker, then Lance off the ropes into a powerslam, Rection covers for two. Lance sent off the ropes, ducks an elbow but caught midair off a crossbody attempt, Rection with a sitout gutwrench and a cover for two.
Lance blocks a suplex and he and Rection exchange counters, until Lance catches the leg for a dragon screw. Lance tries for the Maple Leaf but Rection shoves him off. Rection with a German suplex folds Lance in half and Rection clotheslines him out to the floor, only for Duggan to toss him back in. Rection with a scoop slam. Duggan eggs him to go up top while Guns hops the apron to cheer him on. Rection goes up top for the moonsault and Duggan nails him with the 2x4 while the ref tries to get Guns off the apron. Lance applies the Maple Leaf, and with Rection knocked out, the ref calls for the bell in 6:49. I actually really liked this match, which I wasn't expecting. And I'd be lying if I weren't intrigued at this Duggan development, even though you could see it coming a mile away, and Russo will probably fuck it up.
Duggan shoves the ref down and tears off his ref shirt, a Canadian shirt underneath, and Lance refuses to break the hold. MIA try to come out for the save but Duggan lays them all out with the 2x4. We get a few replays of the swerve.
Gene is backstage with the Thrillers and Sanders mocks Konnan's usual shtick with Tygress and Gene calls him a prick and the rest of them pissants. O'Haire tells him to shut up and Gene tells him to blow it out his ass and threatens to have guys take out his knee caps. O'Haire nearly drops him but Palumbo holds him back and Sanders points out he was suspended for leading the beatdown of a bitter, pitiful old man before. Sanders says we're looking at the most genetically jacked superstars in WCW, they've worked hard and long. He says all the Animals have are two midgets, a bald guy, and a Cheeze Whiz sucking trailer trash hoochie, says he's a gambling man by nature and odds aren't looking good. They leave.
Thrillers come out first. Animals and Vito are seen leaving a limo with a mystery person as they head into the arena. Konnan has a mic and says he was in the back listening to the Natural Born Cranberries talking about working long and hard, and isn't sure if they were talking about what they do in the shower with each other but it's not his business. He calls them artificially jacked asses and says they'll have to deal with the Animals, and while the Thrillers have Johnny the Bull they have a little surprise in Orndorff.
Tag Team Elimination Match: Big Vito, Paul Orndorff & The Filthy Animals (w/ Tygress) vs Chuck Palumbo, Johnny the Bull, Mark Jindrak, Sean O'Haire & Reno (w/ Mike Sanders & Shawn Stasiak)
Rey and Jindrak start the match. Jindrak easily overpowers Rey and delivers a suplex. Rey sent off the ropes into a back elbow. O'Haire back in, Disqo sent off the ropes into a dropkick, Sean covers for one. Disqo sent into the corner into a standing side kick, knee on the chest for a pin but Rey makes the save. Konnan charges Sean who ducks, and Konnan nails Disco from behind, Disqo doesn't realize it's him and gets him with a Stunner. Sean covers for an elimination in 6:01.

Vito takes Disqo's place. Shots exchanged, Reno sent off the ropes into an inverted atomic drop, then the Mafia Kick. Palumbo comes in and gets Vito in the torture rack, Vito gets out and delivers the Big Vito Special, covers but Johnny makes the save. Orndorff tosses Vito the stick ball bat, swings and misses, Johnny nails him with the kendo stick and Reno Rolls the Dice for the next elimination in 8:44.
Orndorff and team regroup at ringside, then Juvie enters the ring with Reno. Juvie off the ropes, through the legs and delivers shots. Juvie sent off the ropes, popped up and hits a leg drop. Mounted rights in the corner, then a spinning heel kick from the top. Rey tags in. Reno sent into the corner, Rey whipped into him, Juvie launches off Rey's back. Juvie with a Michinoku/Juvie Driver. Rey up top with the low blow leg drop and Reno's out in 10:45.
Jindrak and O'Haire both come in, then whip Rey and Juvie into each other, then slide Rey under the ropes to the floor. Sean sends Juvie into the corner, who gets his boots up. Juvie to the middle rope with a missile dropkick and Sean rolls out to the floor. Juvie with a springboard crossbody caught by both O'Haire and Jindrak before getting dropped onto the guard rail. Jindrak and O'Haire attack from behind, corner him for boots. Orndorff sent across the ring, O'Haire with a clothesline, then Jindrak launches off his back with a crossboy but Orndoff moves and Jindrak tumbles out to the floor. Orndorff with rights, then O'Haire sent into the corner, misses a spin kick then a knee lift from Orndorff. Jindrak misses a flying clothesline before getting a piledriver. Orndorff hasn't moved though, O'Haire covers and Orndoff's out in 14:53.
Orndorff still hasn't moved as Rey, Tygress and O'Haire try to do moves around him. Oh boy, we have two other refs down to check on Orndorff as the action spills out to the floor. Rey with the Bronco Buster to Jindrak, then Faceful of Stuff from Tygress. Sanders comes in, slapped by Tygress and a Stuffbuster. Palumbo misses a clothesline then gets a facebuster from Rey. It's clear they're just trying to stall for time and finally the ref just call for the bell in 16:38. Another match I was enjoying and then unfortunately Orndorff got hurt after that piledriver he delivered, not sure what happened there. Probably a good thing that they just stopped the match though.
Animals check on Orndorff as we go to commentary. Penzer officially announces the match a no contest. Commentary talk and EMTs are in the ring tending to Orndorff and cart him to the back.
Back to the show. Pamela is backstage with Kidman and Madusa. Kidman with a get well soon for Orndorff to start off. Then he says that when he started this war with Douglas, he knew it would take some crap like this to end it, but asks if Douglas thinks Torrie is ready for this. He also calls Torrie a bitch. Madusa gets all fired up and says that bitch is an understatement, calls her a bimbo bitch and says she's sick of her crap, says once Torrie climbs up on that scaffold she's going to demoralize her. She doesn't know what the hell Douglas is on, but when his ass goes flying off the scaffold it'll be the last time he sees her and Kidman.
Pittsburgh Plunge Scaffold Match: The Franchise & Torrie Wilson vs Billy Kidman & Madusa
Pre-Match: Douglas and Torrie are out first and he has a mic. He says Kidman just made a load of statements that his ass can't back up, then points us to the scaffold that will end Kidman and Madusa's careers. He says Kidman will be joining Orndorff at the hospital in a few seconds, then calls Madusa a bitch and says she won't lay a finger on Torrie. He says he's a man of his word and promised that those two jackasses would take a flying leap, or he'd pay everyone in the crowd their money back. So this scaffold is really just a platform set up by the entrance that's lowered and raised from the floor up 20ft. The rules are... confusing. Commentary say that one person from the team has to climb down one of two ladders set up on either side to win, even though this whole build has been about throwing someone off the platform so your guess is as good as mine.
Kidman gets his shots in as Madusa just... scares Torrie by the edge. Kidman avoids a back suplex. Madusa with a snapmare to Torrie as Kidman takes Douglas down. Dougla rakes the eyes and knocks Kidman down before going after Madusa. She delivers a pair of kicks, Douglas' leg dangling over the edge and she tries to shove him off but he hangs on. Douglas gets her in the STF and Torrie taunts until Kidman pulls him off. Madusa and Torrie crawl to a ladder each but Kidman eyes Torrie, only to be caught with a powerslam from Douglas. Douglas goes for a piledriver but Kidman counters with a back drop. Douglas with an inverted atomic drop, then Kidman counters a suplex, then hits a spinebuster. Madusa starts to climb down, then Kidman is caught with the Franchiser. Douglas notices Madusa and starts to climb down with her, booting her in the head. She gives a low blow. Douglas keeps kicking her until she falls off the ladder to the floor... well padding.
Ref down below calls for help as commentary explains that she didn't climb down, so it doesn't count as a win. Meanwhile Kidman delivers a dropkick back up to. Douglas with a front suplex. Kidman with a kick and goes for something, then Torrie with a low blow and Kidman gets tossed off, creating a hole in the padding below. Torrie and Douglas win once she climbs down first in 6:16. Well... it was a match that happened. It was at least short.
We get replays of the falls.
Gene is backstage with Sting. Sting says he goes way back with Muta in violent matches as well as Vamp but it all ends tonight. Tomorrow on Nitro though, the World Title will be around his waist again. And now he's attacked from behind by Jarrett. Sting goes face first off an equipment case twice and Jarrett lays in boots. Gene calls him a crazy bastard and Jarrett says that Sting didn't beat anyone on Thunder (which is true) and Jarrett says he's going to prove he's getting the title shot.
We go to some footage where Tenay went to the home of David to follow up after the wedding fiasco. Tenay claims he's all alone even though there's a camera right there and David lets him in. The place is a mess. Tenay asks after everything that's gone on what it's like to have his life crumble before his very eyes and the eyes of a national TV audience, what it does to his mental stability. David stares off into space in silence. Tenay brings up the rumors and David gets all paranoid, looking out the window and telling Tenay to be quiet.
Tenay asks if he's had a chance to talk to Stacey since the confrontation on Nitro, as David lights a cigarette. He hasn't. Tenay asks if he's found any proof of who the father is. David answers with Reid, who's only 11 years old at this time. More paranoia from David and apparently the father has arrived.
Tenay brings up Ric and the interview he did with him, specifically the question of whether he's the father, and asks if David's talked to him since. He hasn't. Tenay points out that while Ric questioned his integrity he never denied being the father. More paranoia and David goes outside. He attacks the mailman and accuses him of being the father, puts him in the figure 4 on the front lawn. David runs away. Hudson: "He went postal." I think we've finally jumped the shark on this one.
Vampiro (JCW Champion) vs The Great Muta vs Sting
ICP take over commentary with Madden.
Vamp immediately attacks Sting in the aisle as he's making his entrance. Sting sent into the guard rail and Muta gets some shots in. Kicks and rights to Sting from both, then Sting face first off the apron. Sting face first into a chair, or a Stabbing Crab Snapper, or a Double Tug Pumpkin Plant as ICP call it. Vamp and Muta laying in boots before tossing Sting into the crowd. Sting being double teamed in the crowd. Backto ringside, Sting face first off the announce table and ICP take a shot. Chair to the shoulder by Muta. Vamp gets sent into the guard rail, clothesline to Muta then clothesline from Vamp. ICP toss Vamp a kendo stick and he whacks Sting over the back.
More double teaming, then Vamp takes control by himself. Sting with boots and shots. Vamp sent off the ropes into a clothesline. Muta sends Sting off the ropes, who avoids a roundhouse and sends Muta into the corner with a clothesline. Stinger Splash misses and Muta sorta hits a spin kick. Vamp up top with a "Backyard Sports Fest" flying clothesline. Muta with an elbow. Vamp keeps pushing Muta away as he sends Sting off the ropes and hits a back suplex. Muta with a backbreaker then goes up top and hits the moonsault, covers but Vamp breaks it up. Now they go at it. ICP run in to talk sense into them. Sting gets his bat, wails away on all four. Scorpion Deathdrop to Muta for the win in 5:13. Once again ICP were the best part of this match, even with Madden.
Sting starts to head to the back. ICP and Vamp blame Muta then Vamp hits the Nail in the Coffin. Shaggy goes up top and goes for a leg drop but Sting pulls Muta out of the ring. Sting keeps going to the back.
Cut to footage from earlier in the day of Awesome arriving in his bus and up walks Pamela. Awesome tries to get in her pants again and he's rejected, then she asks him about his match tonight. He says he's got a big surprise, and out of the bus walks... Gary Coleman? Well alright then. He says Gary's one of his favorite stars from the 70s, even though as Gary corrects him he's a star from the 80s. Awesome tries to get Gary to do the "whatchu talkin about" line without actually saying that's what he wants, and then Pamela does it because she wants to know what they're talking about. Awesome leaves happy. Gary isn't so happy because I guess he didn't like the impression.
Bunkhouse Brawl: "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett vs That 70s Guy Mike Awesome
Pre-Match: So basically a fancy name for an anything goes match here. There's a table covered with barbed wire leaned in the corner, and there's a shovel, and assorted weapons littered around ringside. Jarrett comes out decked in Tennessee Titans gear. He gets a mic and gets cheap heat. Buffalo Bills are front row. Awesome comes out with a table.
Jarrett attacks right away at ringside, Awesome whipped into a wheelbarrow filled with weapons. Baking tray to the back of Awesome. Awesome has the shovel and breaks the handle over Jarrett's back, wails away with the broken stick. Jarrett sent into the guard rail, then a second time. Jarrett choked with a bullrope before sending Awesome into the guard rail. Jarrett has a leather belt and starts whipping and choking Awesome, then sends him face first off the announce table.
Into the ring. Jarrett gets a broom and fails to break it over Awesome's back. Awesome has a branding iron and nails Jarrett in the ribs, then off the ropes with a shoulder block. Back to the outside, Jarrett gets his shots in, then they both get a chair and start dueling with them. Awesome gets the better and whacks Jarrett over the back, then a second time, then over the head. Awesome tosses his table into the ring and sets it up near the corner. Jarrett is laid on top of it and Awesome goes up top but Jarrett cuts him off. Awesome blocks a superplex and goes for an Awesome Bomb from the top, only to be back dropped through the table. Jarrett breaks the broom over his back this time. Awesome face first in the corner across from the barbed wire, Jarrett tries to whip him across the ring but Jarrett counters, then Jarrett goes into the wire a second time. Jarrett sent off the ropes into a popup sitout powerbomb but it only gets two.
Awesome goes back up top and misses a splash. Jarrett taunts the Bills from the corner and they hop the guard rail, hopping the apron. Jarrett shoves one, he shoves back. Jarrett's hung up on the top rope by on, then a sitout powerbomb by Awesome but Jarrett kicks out again. Awesome Bomb is countered with a low blow as Jarrett slips out. Bills are shooed away by the ref. Jarrett leaves the ring and grabs his guitar. Gary Coleman comes out and low blows Jarrett to a hell of a pop. And Jarrett smashes the guitar over his head. Jarrett goes for the Stroke and Sting runs out to hit the Deathdrop. Awesome covers after the ref drags Coleman out of the way for the win in 9:07. Once again I don't have the words to describe how I feel. I'm probably going to hell laughing at Coleman getting the guitar.
Coleman is carried to the back as Awesome and the Bills celebrate.
We get to a video package of Goldberg/Steiner. Midajah getting jackhammered through a table, Goldberg's girlfriend kidnapped by Steiner with some disturbing implications before she gets a Recliner, Goldberg smashing Steiner's face with a lead pipe, Goldberg getting handcuffed to the bus and nearly getting run over. All that good stuff.
Gene is then backstage with Steiner, who likens this match to Godzilla vs King Kong. Steiner says everyone in the world knows that he's the only genetic freak in WCW and he's going to prove it tonight, the only man with the largest arms in the world. He says ever since Goldberg fractured his face he's left Goldberg laying Nitro after Nitro, Thunder after Thunder, barely keeping him alive, just so he could beat his ass tonight. He says he only cares about three things, his freaks, his peaks, and after he beats Goldberg's ass, he's going back to the hotel because he's a loaded sex pistol and he's ready to explode.
No Disqualification Match: Scott Steiner vs Goldberg
There must be a winner.
Bit of stalling and crowd taunting to start this match. Lock up and Goldberg is shoved into the corner. Steiner with rights and elbows. Goldberg sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and hits a shoulder block. Gorilla press into a powerslam by Goldberg. Steiner sent off the ropes only to catch himself and escape to the floor. Goldberg right on him only to be sent into the guard rail. Back into the ring, Goldberg sent off the ropes into a clothesline, then an elbow, covers for two. Boots in the corner by Steiner, plus some chops and rights. Goldberg sent across the ring and gets a boot up to the face. Butterfly suplex by Goldberg then some mounted rights. Steiner sent off the ropes, clubs Goldberg in the back and hits a cutter. Spinning belly to belly and a cover for two by Steiner. Steiner goes for what looks like a Tombstone but Goldberg reverses and delivers a powerslam instead, then covers for two. Goldberg goes for the spear but hits the corner instead. Steiner goes up top only to be caught with a scoop slam midair.
Steiner rolls out to the floor. Goldberg follows and is sent into the ring steps hard moving them a few feet. Midajah makes her way out with a lead pipe. Steiner with a chair shot before returning to the ring. Goldberg set in a tree of woe and Goldberg's been busted open. Chair shots to the ribs of Goldberg. Exploder suplex and some push-ups by Steiner, then a backbreaker. Steiner with a hand on the chest for a pin and gets two. Goldberg avoids a full nelson suplex but still eats a belly to belly. Midajah hands over the pipe but Goldberg lies in wait to hit the spear. Goldberg goes for the jackhammer but out runs Russo to nail him in the back with a bat, then a second time and a third time. Steiner covers but Goldberg kicks out.
Goldberg tossed out to the floor. Steiner with an axe handle off the apron. Goldberg sent into the guard rail and Midajah pulled out a table, so they set it up on a slant. Gdolberg scoop slammed through the table. Back in the ring, Steiner puts him in the Recliner but Goldberg fights his way to the ropes. Midajah kicks his hand away but Goldberg gets to his feet and drops Steiner on his back. Steiner back up with a clothesline in the corner. Goldberg set on the top rope while Midajah lies in wait with th pipe and nails Goldberg in the back as Steiner's knocked off. Russo with a bat shot and another pipe shot, then a belly to belly from the top rope. Steiner covers but Goldberg still kicks out.
Steiner has the Recliner locked in again and Goldberg is still fighting and gets to the ropes, throwing Steiner out to the floor. Steiner gets a chair, swings and misses, Goldberg with a swinging neckbreaker. Russo tries to hit him again and Goldberg gets his hands on him, then Steiner nails him in the ribs then the head with the pipe. Recliner for the third time, Goldberg's out cold and the ref calls for the bell in 13:53. I really wanted to like this, because it was off to a good start, and then it became another overbooked mess.
Russo and Steiner celebrate and Russo poses over him. Russo and Midajah embrace and Russo and co leave. The Bills come to the ring to help Goldberg out of the ring to the back.
We get a hype package for Halloween Havoc, which is all about a big unveiling of a changed Sting. How odd.
The cage is being lowered as we get to our last video package. This started with Nash turning on Booker suddenly on an episode of Thunder, I don't even remember how he got his title shot. Nash would win the title on Nitro after a dumb swerve involving Jarrett as ref. Then of course there's the SwerveGames Match that accomplished nothing.
Pamela is backstage with Booker. He says that after everything Nash has put him through the last three weeks and now a cage match, Nash has just made it worse for himself. He says Nash stands in a pile of crap and he doesn't even realize it, and he told the people he'd win the title back tonight, and he will.
Michael Buffer is in the cage to make the introductions for our main event. "Tonight, in this cage, The People's Champion takes on the World Champion for the undisputed WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World." For Nash: "This native of the Motor City Detroit, Michigan is universally recognized as the greatest big man in the history of professional wrestling. He is the master of the Jackknife Powerbomb, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash." For Booker: "Known the world over for his Book End finish. Her popularity and charisma has earned him fan recognition as the People's Champion, Booker T."
Steel Cage Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Booker T vs Kevin Nash (c)
Pre-Match: Just you regular run of the mill cage for this one.
Lock is easily broken up by Nash. Another lock up and Nash with a knee, then a scoop slam. Booker sent off the ropes, ducks elbows and nails a forearm. Booker wrings out the arm only to be backed into the corner, sent across the ring for a clothesline. Nash with his usual corner offense, the elbows until Booker ducks. Now with rights and Nash is sent across the ring, gets a boot up and turns Booker inside out with a clothesline, then a cover for two.
Surfboard stretch by Nash. We also learn the official diagnose on Orndorff, seems he got a stinger in the match earlier. Booker powers out of the hold only to be kneed, then a sidewalk slam and a cover for two. Nash removes the turnbuckle pad, then goes for Snake Eyes but Booker slips free, sends Nash into the exposed steel chest first then hits a scoop slam. Harlem Side Kick by Booker, then the axe kick and a spinaroonie. Nash fights out of a Book End and delivers a big boot, then the chokeslam, but doesn't capitalize immediately, Booker kicks out of an eventual cover.
Booker face first into the cage, then a second time and a third time. Booker blocks a fourth attempt, then Nash blocks an attempt by Booker then goes face first into the exposed buckle. Nash is busted open now. Booker with rights and Nash face first in the cage, grated across the steel. Booker with mounted rights in the corner until Nash delivers a low blow, then drops him on the top rope. Nash goes for the Jackknife but Booker grabs the cage, then goes to the top rope for a missile dropkick, covers for two. Nash catches a standing side kick, spins him around and delivers a clothesline, rolls over for a cover for two.
Booker with rights and Nash is a bloody mess, makes for a nice visual with his blonde hair. Nash with another low blow, desperate as he just flops to the mat. Booker sent off the ropes into a big boot. Nash pulls down the straps and goes for the Jackknife a second time, Booker counters with the Book End to win back the title in 9:06. I didn't think I'd enjoy a Nash match but he actually seemed to give a shit here, and it wasn't an overbooked shit show, which is always nice. I mean the cage barely played into things so there's that, but it was fine.
Booker celebrates as the cage is raised. Booker vs Sting is now set for Nitro as the show fades out.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Well I didn't hate this show nearly as much as I thought I would. I mean it did have it's crap, like the Scaffold Match, the three-way and the chain match. Good opener, main event, that elimination tag was fun while it lasted, and everything else was just kinda in the middle, either just OK or no worse than anything else we've seen on Nitro or Thunder. I mean this is probably the best of the PPVs I've seen in 2000 so far. With a run time of 2:42:21, this show had a total 1:35:17 of wrestling.
