WCW Week of September 18, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Elimination Tag is continued from the PPV, with Rey and Tygress taking on Jindrak, O'Haire, Palumbo, Sanders and Stasiak. Tygress is the sole winner.
- Nash offers to coach the Animals, only to say they suck.
- Russo makes a tag match between himself and Nash against  Jarrett and Steiner, with the winner of the fall getting a World Title shot. 
- Franchise and Torrie beat Kwee-Wee and Paisley, after a Franchiser and a 5 count on Paisley.
- Russo tries to get Nash to lie down, and Nash tells him to bite him.
- Cat beats Disqo, and per stipulations, Rey & Juvie are stripped of the tag titles.
- Nash says he's not wrestling tonight.
- David finds out who the father is, but we never find out.
- Russo gets a tape to Kronic of Jarrett and Steiner talking shit. Kronic get a match with them later.
- Booker retains the World Title against Sting via DQ after interference by Jarrett. Jarrett and Sting lay them out after the match.
- Duggan explains he turned because the fans turned on him, when Goldberg laid him out. Team Canada then beat MIA after a 2x4 shot. They Pilmanize Rection's knee with help from the 2x4.
- Kronic come out for their match. Nash sends the Thrillers after then. Jarrett and Steiner attack from behind to win a match that never officially started.
- Russo convinces Sting to take Nash's place in the tag match.
- After Dark Carnival wreck his bus, Awesome challenges and beats Vamp in a Hardcore Match.
- Booker attacks Russo before the tag match. Booker seemingly takes his place in the match, but then Russo comes out beaten up, and puts him on top of Steiner to win the title shot.

Thunder
- Russo clears up the bullshit in the Nitro main event, then makes Steiner vs Jarrett vs Sting to appease them.
- Jung Dragons beat Sanders, O'Haire and Jindrak after a double tag is somehow made legal, and Leia Meow, not in the match, gets the pin.
- There's a fight between Paisley and Torrie on the Lava Lamp Lounge.
- Russo has a warm-up match against the Masked Heel, which is Stevie Ray, and it ends in a no contest after Ray hits him with a slapjack. Russo makes Kronic vs Stevie for later and orders Kronic to take him out or risk firing.
- Paisley beats Torrie after distraction. Paisley gets Franchised, then Tygress tries to save, then Konnan saves.
- Team Canada try to dump the American flag in the garbage. MIA comes out. Rection's knee is taken out again.
- Kronic beat Stevie Ray after deciding not to use a chair. Russo doesn't fire them but says he has more planned.
- Juvie beats Rey in a contender's match for the 100kg & Under Title. Animals kick Disqo out of the group.
- Harris Brothers vs 3 Count is called off after a bunch of people interfere.
- Tenay is an asshole in a sitdown interview with Stacey that accomplishes nothing.
- Steiner vs Sting vs Jarrett ends in a DQ? after a guitar shot. Booker tries to help but he's laid out.

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Week of August 21, 2000

Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
