WCW Week of October 2, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Rey and Konnan beat Disqo and Alex Wright for the duck, but Disqo and Alex beat them up and steal it anyways.
- David has taken Stacey's baby daddy hostage.
- Russo declares that Goldberg must beat his original, inflated undefeated streak to stay employed and earn a World Title shot. He also vacates the World Title and announces Jarrett vs Steiner for it, plus Goldberg vs Meng for later.
- Sgt. A-Wall beats Reno to win the vacated Hardcore Title after help from Vito, which then causes Sanders to reverse the decision and reward the title to Reno. Vito will get a rematch at the PPV.
- Cat makes Booker vs Sting for the title instead.
- Torrie and Franchise challenge Tygress and Konnan to a match at the PPV, then Franchise beas Awesome.
- Goldberg beats Meng in less than a minute, then attacked by Kronik.
- Sanders makes a deal with Cat and Sting/Steiner vs Jarrett/Booker is made for later, winning team getting the World Title match.
- Jarrett and Booker win the aforementioned match after a ref bump and a guitar shot.
- Team Canada is banned from ringside, and Elix's CW Title defense against Sanders is made a Handicap Powerbomb Match also involving Nash. Sanders wins the title.
- Goldberg beats Harris Brothers in an elimination match, which someone counts as two wins toward his streak.
- Booker vs Jarrett is made a 49ers Match.
- David's captive is Buff Bagwell, who lays out David with a blockbuster when he tries to get a confession.
- Booker wins the World Title after help from Beetlejuice.

Thunder
- Jarrett challenges Sting for the PPV. Beetlejuice tries to fight him. Booker is attacked by Steiner backstage and Sting tries to save Beetlejuice. Franchise attacks him and Jarrett attacks Beetlejuice.
- Duggan beats A-Wall after interference from Reno and a powerslam through a table.
- Sting accepts Jarrett's challenge and challenges Franchise for later.
- Sanders announces Kronik vs Goldberg for the PPV.
- Lance takes Elix's rematch for the CW Title.
- Steiner squashes Jung Dragons.
- Konnan is led to Sanders' office for VISA issues, but it's just a setup so Franchise cna lay out Rey and Juvie. Douglas also accepts Sting's challenge.
- Stevie Ray tries to get answers from Luger who's sitting in the front row and gets into a fight with Rection.
- Kronik explain that they're basically ripping off the APA.
-  Sanders retains the title after Guns rings the bell and Rection interferes.
- Tenay does an absolute mess of an interview with MIA.
- Jindrak & O'Haire retain the tag titles over Crowbar and Awesome after putting Crowbar through a table.
- David tries to get a DNA test from Buff, which they claim can just be done right there and then, and even draw blood, but Buff lays David and his doctor instead.
- Franchise beats Sting after Konnan kidnaps Torrie and Jarrett interferes.

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
