WCW Week of October 30, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Jindrak and O'Haire retain the tag titles over Rey and Kidman after interference from Boogie Knights
- Reno retains the Hardcore Title after interference from the Natural Born Thrillers
- Gen. Rection is given a big celebration and has the entire locker room congratulating him on his US Title win, only to be interrupted by Storm. Rematch for the title made for Mayhem.
- Test results reveal Buff is not the father of Stacey's baby. Then MI Smooth squashes David.
- Boogie Knights are told to go out by Sanders, who are then destroyed by Goldberg.
- Ric Flair is revealed as WCW's new on-screen CEO. He makes a match for Sanders vs Cat for later, announces he's reinstated Luger, then argues with Jarrett.
- Luger challenges Goldberg for Mayhem before beating Buff after a ref bump and some chair shots.
- Kronik beat Perfect Event after Stasiak walks out of the match.
- Cat beats Sanders clean. Then Douglas hits a backbreaker on Miss Jones backstage.
- Booker retains the World Title over Steiner and Awesome, where Awesome ate the pin. Security break up a fight.

Thunder
- 3 Count beat Jung Dragons after Evan becomes a self-centered arrogant guy and Jamie-San takes the pin. Then Evan is kicked out of 3 Count, Jamie-San is unmasked and kicked out of Jung Dragons, and they tease a new team with Jamie and Evan.
- Elix beats Loco after Guns inadvertently distracts the ref and he uses his ring.
- Palumbo vs Stasiak doesn't happen after Palumbo is laid out backstage.
- Kidman and Rey beat Boogie Knights clean
- Lance hires a returning Meng as a hired gun. Sgt. A-Wall beats Meng after putting him through a table. Meng applies the Tongan Deathgrip on Storm after getting berated.
- Lance beats a returning Norman Smiley clean, then Meng saves a post-match beatdown.
- A returning Bam Bam Bigelow beats Crowbar in a mess of a match
- Booker vs Steiner with a stip of the latter's choosing is made in a segment not aired on the Network version of the show
- Awesome and Sting beat Vampiro and Jarrett clean, with an Awesome Bomb on Vamp.

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? Tony tells us that 3 Count is more concerned with the gold record, and the Dragons want the contract so 3 Count can't make any more records. WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
