WCW Starrcade 2000
Live from the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. for the final, at least full PPV version of Starrcade. Unfortunately Mark Madden is back on commentary joined by Schiavone and Hudson. Chavo also joins commentary for the opening match.
Triple Ladder Match: 3 Count vs Jung Dragons (w/ Leia Meow) vs Jamie Noble & Evan Karagias
Winner earns a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Championship
Pre-Match: As explained on Thunder, despite being billed as a three-team match, it's every man for himself and the first to climb and take down the tiny envelope will get a title shot, and their partner will get nothing.
Just to add to the stupidity this match actually starts with tag in/tag out rules. We're only five minutes into this show and my head hurts. Kaz and Shannon are the legal men to start the match with a quick exchange of holds and moves. Shannon I think is supposed to do a Japanese arm drag but they fuck it up and ends up being a DDT. Kaz with a hurricanrana, then a tilt-a-whirl arm drag by Shannon.
Shannon tries to go for a ladder but gets intercepted by Evan who tosses him back in. Shane and Yang tag in now. Now everyone goes out after the ladders until Shannon gets one from behind the ring.. Noble whipped into the guard rail, then Dragons stop 3 Count from climbing the ladder, pushing them out to the floor. Dragons climb the ladder, Evan and Noble pull then down, then get the ladder dropkicked back into them by Yang. Kaz with a springboard moonsault onto the ladder onto Noble and Evan.
Shane brings another ladder in as Yang bounces Shannon's face off the announced table.. Ladder hung across the middle rope in the corner and Shane gets whipped face first into it. Kaz misses a side kick, then Evan and Noble try a double flapjack to Kaz onto a ladder but practically drop him on his head. Noble sets up the ladder and makes the climb until Evan pulls him down. Evan climbs now until Noble pulls him down.
Shoving match ensues until Yang dropkicks Noble into Evan from the top. Noble whipped into a ladder leaned in the corner. Shannon sat atop the ladder across the rope in the corner before booting Yang in the face, goes for a crossbody but hit with a gutbuster. Yang with a corkscrew moonsault from the ladder across the ropes. Shane stops Yang from setting up a ladder and throws him out to the floor before somersaulting over the ropes. Yang with a corkscrew onto Shane, then Evan with a crossbody onto Yang and Shane. Moonsault by Shannon.
Noble starts to climb again. but he gets shoved off onto everyone on the floor by Yang. Yang lays a ladder between the runs of another and the top rope, Evan gets him with a back suplex from halfway up the ladder. Evan climbs atop the ladder bridge, Kaz springboards into a springboard off the ladder from Evan. Shannon with a leg lariat to the back of the head of Evan from the ladder bridge. Shane starts to climb now and Noble comes up the other side. Both on the ladder bridge now and Shane hits a swinging neckbreaker off the ladder.
Shannon with a crossbody to Yang, now two ladders set up side by side. Yang back up as they climb up opposite ladders. Shane and Noble climb the other side of the ladders. Noble with a sunset flip to Shane, then Shannon with a falling neckbreaker from Shannon to Yang. Evan grabs a ladder as Noble climbs again, only for Leia to pull him off. Evan gets her out of the ring. Kaz brings in yet another ladder but he's cut off by Evan, who leans it in the corner. Backbreaker to Kaz, Evan climbs up the ladder but gets cut off by Yang. Criss-cross powerbomb by the Dragons to Evan.
So we've got two ladders set up near one corner, another ladder set up across from those two, and a forth ladder bridged across all three now by the Dragons. Dragons start to climb but 3 Count pull them down, then send Yang face first into the bridge, then Kaz as well. 3 Count climb now and there's Noble to cut them off. Noble with a tombstone to Shannon. Evan stomping away on Shane. Noble climbs and so does Kaz. Evan joins the now until Noble is kicked off. Kaz knocked off to the mat. Yang now joins Evan top the bridge and kicks him off onto the top rope to the floor.
Shane and Yang atop the bridge now. Noble climbs up behind Yang. Shannon headscissor's Yang off the bridge from the mat. Shane throws Noble off to the mat. 3 Count atop the bridge now and take down the contract together. Referees call for the bell. (13:55) I should have expected nothing less than a screwy finish in even a ladder match. I'll give it this, it was some fun chaos.
3 Count are announced as winners, so I guess they both won?
Duggan is in the locker room polishing his wood when Storm comes in. Can't hear anything for the first bit but Lance is trying to convince him to stay with Team Canada, saying the American fans will never take him back, and even if they did, points out the office was ready to fire Duggan before he joined Team Canada. He hands Duggan his Canadian sweater and leaves.
Sanders is about to enter his office when Jarrett and the Harris Twins come by. Jarrett wants their match to go from a Street Fight to a Bunkhouse Match. Sanders doesn't want to do it because the Street Fight was already advertised. Jarrett suggests they just do both. Sanders gives the OK.
Kronik are in the sauna when Clark gets a phone call. They're getting cash in hand when the job is done. Adams also says he's baked.
Lance Storm (w/ Elix Skipper & Major Guns) vs The Cat (w/ Ms. Jones)
Pre-Match: Lancewants to be serious for a minute. He demands undivided, respectful attention, and thinks its appropriate in the nation's capital to congratulate them on taking 37 days to do what Canada did in one, which is finalize the federal election. He says while America was laughing at him for laughing on Thunder, everyone was laughing at America for their pathetic attempt at democracy, the man with the most votes lost. He says Team Canada stands as one, and they will win tonight. Cat of course interrupts the anthem and has a mic of his own. He's going to kick Lance's ass and he wants him to pack his clothes and leave, and take "big fat nasty ass Mark Madden" with him. Cat now dances with Ms. Jones in the ring.
They shove each other to start, then a shoving match in the ropes until Lance backs away.. Now Cat outwrestling Storm along with a series of quick kicks. Storm sent off the ropes, ducks a kick, then Cat sent off the ropes, tripped up by Guns an back elbowed by Storm. Jones and Guns almost go at it but Storm gets between them. Jones and Guns almost go at it at the ring but Storm sends Guns back to the floor.
Storm with rights in the corner, then face first off the turnbuckle, Cat sent off the ropes into a lariat. Cat fights back with a pair of throat chops, only to be caught with a jawbreaker. Storm sets up for a suplex but wastes time jawjacking, allowing Cat to get a small package for two. A clothesline from Storm for two, then a rear chinlock. Cat tries to fight out but Storm rakes the eyes. Cat with a pop up low blow and an uppercut sends Storm to the corner. Storm sent across the ring to set up for the Feliner but Elix decks Cat from the apron before he can connect. Cat smacks Elix allowing Storm to attack from behind on the floor, then Cat sent into the guard rail repeatedly. Ms. Jones tries to roundhouse Storm but he ducks and she kills the ref instead.
Guns gets Jones with a dropkick, then gets sent into the guard rail. Jones is checking on the ref. Elix takes down Cat before being tossed in the ring. Springboard dropkick by Lance and a cover, Elix tosses the ref back in but Storm gets up. Throat shot by Cat and some kicks, then a spinning back kick for two. Northern Lights by Storm for two. Duggan comes out as Storm tries a German, then Storm avoids one. Cat manages to avoid a sunset flip as he maintains his balance. Duggan comes in with his 2x4, almost uses it, then decides to just clothesline Cat from behind. Storm rolls into the Maple Leaf. Cat taps. (7:28) Wasn't awful, but it was about as good as any Ernest Miller match.
Duggan is visibly torn at ringside as he joins Team Canada in the ring, only to be attacked by them. Cat comes in to help Duggan and sends Canada packing. Then more dancing.
Awesome drives an ambulance into the arena.
For some reason, Buff Bagwell is now a backstage interviewer, his first guests being the Filthy Animals. Buff informs them on the change for their match and Konnan has no idea what that even means, wondering if they'll be hit with milk cans or tumbleweeds or haystacks. Kidman gives it a big thumbs down. Konnan suggests Jarrett stick his guitars up his ass to get some rhythm. OK Buff was actually pretty good here, he's not quite Okerlund, but he's got some personality compared to Pamela.
Reno and Vito are walking backstage with Maria. Thrillers come up behind them and try to bring Reno back to them. Reno has none of it.
Crowbar is on his way to the ring talking with Daffney, who is not in 70s wear tonight. She says he's losing his edge and needs to drop the gimmick. He walks away from her and gets sprayed by a fire extinguisher to start this match.
WCW Hardcore Championship: Terry Funk vs Crowbar (c) (w/ Daffney)
Funk just about empties the extinguisher on Crowbar as Daffney screams nearby. Crowbar face first off a semi-truck, then again and again, then the back of his head is bounced repeatedly off of it for two. Crowbar thrown into the side of a trash bin, then face first off a truck ramp and onto an equipment case. Crowbar off another ramp, then take things into a truck. Crowbar breaks a bumper across Funk's back before ping ponging him back and forth into the walls of the truck. Crowbar dumps a shelf onto him for two.
Funk into the wall again, then Crowbar with rights as Funk hangs on from the edge, only to hip toss Crowbar out of the truck through a table. Crowbar avoids a door shot and delivers a kick, then nails Funk in the head with a car door, then a second time, misses on the third time. Funk has head wedge in the frame of a regular door and has it slammed on him. Crowbar takes some cuffs from Daffney but Funk gets a shot in and slams the door repeatedly on Crowbar's head. Funk cuffs Crowbar's hands in front of him and brains him with a chair, then again and a third time. Funk has the car door as he drags Crowbar out to the arena.
Car door to the head of Crowbar as they emerge next to the ramp, and a second sends Crowbar rolling down the ramp to the aisle. A third door shot and Funk slides it into the ring. Another chair shot to the head and another. Funk pulls out a table and sets it up next to the ring and lays Crowbar on top. Funk climbs the apron to moonsault but Daffney pulls Crowbar off the table, and Funk notices and avoids crashing through.
Funk gets hold of Daffney but Crowbar gets him in the back, then the head with a chair. Crowar chokes Funk with the handcuffs chain, then bites him before laying Funk on the table. Slingshot splash from the onto Funk through the table only gets two. Daffney gets a chair and throws it at Funk's head, Crowbar covers but gets two again. Funk with a chair to the ribs, then the head again. Funk with a piledriver onto the car door to win the title. (10:26) Feel like this one was a little too one-sided, and really Crowbar should've won this, but I thought this was fun.
Daffney uncuffs Crowbar.
Okerlund is backstage with Team Canada and he's appalled by what they did to Duggan. Lance says a leopard can't change his spots, once American always American. He realized Duggan's days as a Canadian and in the business were numbered a month ago. They used Duggan to get one more job done because he's nothing but a stupid, gullible American. Now that they took out the trash, Team Canada can move forward, grow bigger and stronger.
Luger is in the locker room taking out his gear, but he also makes sure to have a pair of brass knuckles ready.
Reno & Big Vito (w/ Maria) vs Kronik
Pre-Match: Vito and Reno are out first. Kronik are next, and Adams gets a mic. He reminds us they're about breaking necks and cashing cheques, which is what they were hired to do tonight. You know it just occurred to me they haven't broken one neck since they started this whole thing. They expect payment in full when they're done, and he implies that Maria's the one that paid them. She's seen claiming she has no idea what Adams is talking about.
Either way, this distracts the brothers allowing Kronik to attack from behind, Vito sent to the floor, then Reno gets a right. Reno sent off the ropes into back elbows, then Kronik try a double suplex but Vito makes the save. Adams gets dropkicked out of the ring by Reno, then Clark sent off the ropes into a powerslam by Vito, who follows with a leg drop for two. Vito sent off the ropes into a boot, then a butterfly suplex by Clark, floatover for two.
Chops in the corner by Clark, then some knees, Vito sent across the ring, gets Clark with an elbow and eats a Mafia Kick. Adams wants the money from Maria right now and she's denying it. Vito tries to attack but he's caught, allowing Clark to somersault off the apron onto him. Russian leg sweep to Vito into the guard rail by Clark, Adams is still trying to get his money while Clark nails Vito in the back with a chair. Reno gets between them as Adams takes Vito to the ring.
Vito mounts comeback only to be sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline, sunset flip and Adams misses a right. Adams sent off the ropes into a flying clothesline for two by Vito. Adams counters an Irish whip to deliver the full nelson slam and a cover, but Reno makes the save. Vito sent off the ropes into double shoulder blocks. Clark in now and takes Vito to the corner for boots, then sent across the ring chest first, Clark with a back suplex for two.
Snapmare and rear chinlock by Clark. Now the Thrillers come out. Vito mounts a comeback and hits a jawbreaker, tries to make the tag but he's intercepted by Adams who tags in. Vito sent off the ropes into a dropkick. Clark back in. Vito sent to the corner, ducks a double clothesline and tries a double DDT but gets thrown off, eats a double big boot instead. Vito fights back again but gets kneed. Clark sent off the ropes and connect with each other with crossbodies.
Reno gets the hot tag and in comes Adams, but Reno Rolls the Dice on Vito before he goes back to the apron. Reno tries to make the pin and thank god the ref won't actually do it, despite bullying by Kronik. Kronik threaten to give him High Time so he relents and counts the pin, despite protests from Marie. (8:21) I actually really liked this match, despite the ending that made absolutely no sense. I have no idea who officially won this match.
Reno pulls out a bag of money from under the ring as Maria looks on in anger, and embraces the Thrillers. Clark hits Vito with the Meltdown, then High Time from him and Adams.
Okerlund is backstage with 3 Count. He congratulates them on their win before asking who will be challenging for the Cruiserweight Title. Shane says they both won and they should both be challenging for the title. Up walks Chavo and jokes that they painted his house last week, then shows off his title before laying them both out. He calls it the working man's belt and says they haven't worked hard enough yet.
Buff is elsewhere with MIA. He was supposed to talk about the US Title but after what just happened he wonders if this is the beginning of the end of MIA. Rection brushes it off and starts mocking Franchise. He says he didn't fight for the title for five months just to let Douglas use him as a stepping stone, the Misfits aren't stepping stones. He says it's not about Chavo before they all walk off.
Ambulance Match: Bam Bam Bigelow vs "That 70s Guy" Mike Awesome
Bigelow gets the jump and sends Awesome to the corner for a splash. Awesome sent across the ring just to leap to the middle rope for a back elbow, then clotheslines Bigelow out to the floor. Trade of rights as Bigelow takes control, Awesome sent into the guard rail, then Awesome driven back first into the ring post. Awesome fighting back with rights, nails Bigelow with the ring bell. Awesome with a chair to the back of Bigelow.
Bigelow throws a drink in his face before sending him into the guard rail, then a chair across the back. Bigelow sets a chair in the aisle before slamming Awesome's face into it, then jams it into his neck. Bigelow tries a shot to the head but Awesome blocks it, then sends Bigelow face first off the hood of the ambulance. Bigelow face first into the doors, then again. Awesome opens the door, then Bigelow fights back and slams the door on him repeatedly, then a low low by Awesome.
Awesome sent into the ambulance doors now, then Bigelow punches through one of the door windows as Awesome ducks. Bigelow face first into the doors again as they fight their way back to the ramp. Bigelow face first off the hood, then Awesome face first off of it. Bigelow grabs the chair in the aisle and nails Awesome in the ribs, then the back, stumbling back into the ring. DDT by Bigelow. Awesome tossed back to the floor.
Bigelow pulls the ring steps from the post, then Awesome face first off the announce table, and again. Bigelow whipped into the side of the steps. Bigelow's forearm's been cut after going through the ambulance window, while Awesome pulls out a table, leaning it against the apron. Clotheslines by Awesome, then gets a running start just to get back dropped through the table.
Back up the aisle now, Awesome into the guard rail, then a front slam onto the ambulance hood. Biglow rips off the siren lights of the ambulance, nailing Awesome in the shoulder. Awesome nails him with it in the gut, then again, sending Bigelow falling back and through the roof. Awesome wins. (8:38) Yeah this was pretty boring. Thumbs down.
Ambulance leaves as Awesome stands tall. Commentary imply that the 70s guy gimmick is done now.
Okerlund is backstage with the Thrillers, specifically Reno, to find answers for his actions earlier. Reno says the Thrillers are his real family. Sanders calls Vito a weeble wobble who got suckered in. Okerlund moves on to the Tag Title match. Sanders says he knows he's Gene's favorite, but they're not here to talk about himself. Palumbo calls DDP trailer park trash, then calls Nash a big goof. Stasiak says that despite DDP and Nash running their cake holes about how they're going to win the titles back, they aren't, and that anyone who says winning isn't everything are absolute losers. They'll go down as the greatest tag champions in history, then they all leave. Okerlund threatens to slap the crap out of Stasiak which makes Schiavone crack up.
WCW U.S. Heavyweight Championship: The Franchise vs Gen. Rection (c)
Pre-Match: Douglas gets a mic and says that even low IQ morons can see something's missing from his side, that being Torrie. He's taken 20 years to be the best in the sport and people like the fans don't show him the respect he deserves. He says Rection is responsible for her missing and promises all the idiots that their ticket will be paid for, promising it won't take 36 days who won this match. He says he'll put a heart in Rection's heart and will take his title away.
Douglas attacks from behind after the referee separates them to start, stomping in the corner, choking him against the ropes. Rection face first off the turnbuckle, then Rection no-sells some chops before delivering some of his own. Poke to the eye from Douglas before he's sent across the ring and Rection nails a clothesline. More chops in the corner by Rection, then Douglas sent across the ring, moves out of the way and Rection almost squashes the ref. Douglas sent across the ring for a body splash and Douglas rolls out to the floor.
More chops by Rection and Douglas face first off the announce table, some rights by Rection before returning to the ring. Douglas uses the middle rope to low blow Rection as he steps back in. Rection is no-selling gut shots, even a low blow and some rights. Douglas caught with a bearhug coming off the ropes, Douglas tries for the ropes but Rection takes him back to the middle. Douglas bites his way out, comes off the ropes right back into a bearhug. Rection slumps to the mat for a two count.
Rection eventually releases just to pull him back to his feet and apply another bearhug. Douglas is fading, but Douglas bites again, tries a scoop slam but Rection falls on top for a two count. Rection with a scoop slam, then goes up top only to get his legs cut out from under him, landing on the back of his head it looks like. Inverted snapmare by Douglas, then a piledriver. Rection goes up top and misses the moonsault. Douglas pulls out the chain and wraps it around his fist, misses a shot though and Rection delivers a back suplex. Out comes Chavo and grabs the chain, distracts the ref and tosses the chain back to Douglas. Then Chavo stooges on Douglas and the ref sees as he's about to use the chain. Rection wins and retains by DQ. (9:49) Started off alright but got boring real quick. And now I'm completely confused.
Douglas still decks Rection repeatedly in the head with the chain and now Rection is busted open.. Chavo tries to save but he gets decked with the chain too.. Franchiser by Douglas, then one for Chavo. MIA runs out for the save. Looks like Chavo and Rection are arguing, Cajun tends to Chavo and A-Wall tends to Rection.
Okerlund is in the locker room with Steiner and Midajah. Apparently Steiner and Sid have been confined to their locker rooms until they meet in the ring. Steiner says that Sid is getting beat tonight, says Sid made a mistake accepting the World Title shot from Flair, and he's going to knock Sid's ass out. Then his freaks are going to take him back to the hotel room and beat him, then says a bunch of stuff ending with going for the big O.
Hype video for the return of Glacier.
Buff is backstage with the Insiders. Buff jokes about how DDP makes more money than all the Thrillers combined, then Nash reminisces about some fake memories working with Tully. Nash says they're going to give themselves a Christmas present. Page calls them monkeys and that they found the fountain of youth, they're in they're prime. Page says they've been trying to keep him and Nash down for years and some monkeys aren't going to push them out, then Page leaves. Nash and Buff blatantly say they need to kill some time and Nash calls him Buff Masterson, I don't get the reference.
Filthy Animals Bunkhouse Street Brawl: Jeff Jarrett & Harris Brothers vs Filthy Animals (w/ Tygress)
Pre-Match: I have no idea what the official name of this match is, this is just what I'm going with. Jarrett gets a mic to remind us that he's the Chosen One and that despite the Animals trying to have it their way, he convinced Sanders to have a Filthy Animals Street Fight and a Bunkhouse Brawl in one. No one explains what the hell that actually means. There's a bar and bar stools in the ring, bull rope, popcorn machine, spray painted trash can, shopping card and road signs, and a trash bin littered around ringside, and that's only what the camera panned around to. Plus Jarrett has his guitar.
Jarrett throws a trash can out at the Animals from the ring which is caught by Rey, who throws it into Jarrett as he leaves the ring. Kidman with a missile dropkick to Jarrett, then low bridges the Twins sending them to the floor. Sitout spinebuster by Kidman, then the Kid Krusher. Kidman goes up top but a Twin breaks a bottle over his head. Stroke gets the win. (12:34) I don't know why this turned into a traditional tag match in the middle of a wild brawl, it kind of killed the pacing for what I thought was a mostly fun match.
Promo video for the first PPV of the new year, and the first and only one of its kind, Sin.
Buff is backstage with Sarge, who for some reason is in wrestling gear. Sarge says he knows Goldberg's gonna get Luger tonight but wishes it were him, nothing's frustrated him as much as Luger has in the last few weeks. Luger attacks Sarge but Buff makes the save.
Crew is clearing the ring area of everything from the last match. Commentary waste some time talking about Luger/Goldberg, particularly about how Goldberg's first streak ended at Starrcade 2 years earlier.
Video package for the Insiders/Thrillers feud.

Palumbo sent off the ropes into another big boot from Nash, who pulls down the straps. Nash gets the jackknife to win the titles back. (12:08) It was fine I suppose. Feel like they had Page in there with them went way too long before Nash got the tag, but that's par for the course.
Nash gets a mic and gives us a "hey yo" before they leave.

Buff goes to the middle rope, tries for the Blockbuster on Luger but he ducks and Buff gets Goldberg instead, before being tossed to the floor. Luger tries to get Goldberg in the Rack but he grabs hold of the ropes. Oh I guess Buff hit the Blockbuster on Goldberg on purpose, because he drops Sarge again as he comes to, as Goldberg gets Luger with a snap neckbreaker. Spear connects with Luger. Goldberg with the jackhammer and the win. (7:19) (31-0) I think this was somehow worse than their last match.
Buff enters with a chair and nails Goldberg in the head, then then back with the chair repeatedly before strutting and leaving. Sarge finally comes to as Buff leaves with Luger. Sarge returns tot he ring as Goldberg celebrates and they leave.
Promo package for Steiner and Sid. Sid returned the night after Mayhem after several months away as Steiner's next challenger. Also I just remembered, Sid technically never got his rematch for the title after he was stripped on the reboot episode back in April, so I suppose he's actually owed this.
WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Sid Vicious vs Scott Steiner (c) (w/ Midajah)
Pre-Match: Seeing Sid wrestle in tights is kinda weird.
Steiner backs Sid in the corner to start and follows with boots, right and chops. Sid reverses things and delivers rights and mounted punches. Steiner picks him only for Sid to land on his feet, hit a couple of clotheslines and a sidewalk slam, Steiner quickly rolling out to the floor. Back in the ring, Steiner shows off a bit then challenges Sid to a test of strength, Sid gets powered down to his knees immediately. Sid powers his way back to his feet, only to be dropped with a cheap shot. Sid powers back up again and sit hits a Northern Lights for two. Sid with rights and a leg drop for two.
Steiner sent off the ropes into a big boot, then clotheslined out to the floor. Midajah nails Sid in the back with the lead pipe, then Steiner nails him in the ribs and neck with a chair, before returning to the ring. Sid sent off the ropes into a clothesline, then an elbow and some push-ups. Backbreaker by Steiner and more showing off. More corner shots by Steiner, then sent across the ring, gets a boot up and hits his spinning belly to belly. Steiner goes for the Recliner but Sid grabs the rope to break.
Steiner with a suplex back toward the middle, and Steiner applies the Recliner again. Midajah goes up top as Sid powers back to his feet, he ducks and Midajah takes Steiner down with a crossbody. Chokeslam by Sid but it only gets two. Sid with a cobra clutch, Steiner decks the ref and Sid hits a cobra clutch slam, makes the cover but the ref is out. Steiner has the pipe and Sid gets distracted by Midajah, allowing Steiner to attack. Sid uses the pipe repeatedly as a second ref rushes out, Steiner covers but it's only two.
Now Jarrett is here for some reason and accidentally smashes a guitar over Steiner's head. Sid covers, but Jarrett pulls the referee out of the ring, who then ducks a clothesline to slide back in and make the count again, but it's a near fall. Steiner sent off the ropes and Sid goes for the powerbomb, but Steiner delivers a pair of low blows, then a t-bone suplex. Steiner applies the Recliner for the third time, Sid tries for the ropes but passes out. Steiner retains. (10:17) I didn't entirely hate this match. I could have done without Jarrett interfering for no reason and some of the overbooked nonsense, but it was a perfectly fine main event.
And that's pretty much it. There's less than a minute left as Steiner celebrates.
