Week of December 12, 2000 Recap

Nitro
- Cat and Ms. Jones beat Lance and Major Guns after Duggan interference, and Lance has to sing the American Anthem on Thunder
- Norman Smiley vs Meng in a Hardcore Match ends in DQ after Terry Funk returns dressed as Santa. Funk challenges Crowbar for his title and Funk lays everyone out.
- Filthy Animals put lax in sandwiches for the Harris Twins
- Sid squashes Mike Sanders
- Perfect Event beat Jindrak & O'Haire and Insiders in what's basically a 4-on-1 match
- Goldberg beats Sarge to go 29-0
- Franchise beats Cajun by DQ after a chair shot provided by Chavo
- Filthy Animals vs Jarrett & Harris Twins turns 3-on-1 on Jarrett when the Twins have bowel issues. Animals win after Konnan is eliminated.
- Steiner retains the World Title against A-Wall after A-Wall is made to look stupid. Steiner and Sid fight in the parking lot to end the show.

Thunder
- Noble and Karagias beat 3 Count and Jung Dragons after Evan steals the pin from Noble
- Perfect Event beat Chavo when he can't find a partner and Rection doesn't let Cajun help
- Storm butches the American anthem. 
- Duggan turns on Team Canada, then loses to Cat, then gets beat up by Team Canada.
- Luger beats Sarge with a bat to the head
- Kronik beat Vito and Reno. Jarrett hits Konnan with a guitar while he's doing commentary during the match.
- Thrillers lay out Nash
- DDP beats Sanders by DQ after Thrillers' interference. Page is laid out after the match
- Steiner retains the World Title clean against Meng, then gets laid out by Sid

Starrcade
- In a three team ladder match that's every man for himself, 3 Count beat Jung Dragons and Noble & Karagias together and both earn a shot at the Cruiserweight Title shot
- Storm beats Cat with help from Duggan, then Team Canada beat him down until Cat saves
- Terry Funk wins the Hardcore Title from Crowbar with a piledriver on a car door
- A match between Reno & Vito and Kronik has no clear finish after Reno turns on Vito and pins him after the referee is bullied into counting
- Awesome beats Bigelow in an Ambulance Match after sending Bigelow through the roof of the ambulance
- Rection retains the US Title over Franchise by DQ after Chavo tricks Douglas into it. Douglas lays out Chavo and Rection and he and Rectin are left bloodied.
- Jarrett & Harris Twins beat Filthy Animals in a match combining a Street Fight and a Bunkhouse Brawl
- Sarge is laid out backstage by Luger during an interview with Buff
- Insiders win back the tag titles from Perfect Event clean
- Goldberg goes 30-0 beating Luger in a No Holds Barred No DQ Match. Buff attacks Sarge when they both come out, then attacks Goldberg after the match.
- Steiner retains the World Title over Sid mostly cleanly

Our opening video package recaps hypes our World Title situation, plus the 3-way dance and the "shoot" issues behind the scenes. Then we see fans getting pumped about the 3-way before we go out to the arena. We're live from the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia up in the Great White North. Schiavone welcomes us to the show and we get to our first match. Double Ladder Match for 3 Count's Gold Record & Recording Contract: 3 Count (w/ Tank Abbot) vs The Jung Dragons Pre-Match : So presumably, it seems the idea of a double ladder match is that each time will go for something different, and this isn't winner take all...? Tony tells us that 3 Count is more concerned with the gold record, and the Dragons want the contract so 3 Count can't make any more records. WCW Spring Stampede 2000

We get an opening video package which starts with Russo's hatred for Flair, then a recap of Bischoff and Hogan's issues. Then we cut to Eric and Russo in the back, and apparently Hogan's checked himself out of the hospital, much to Eric's confusion. Kidman says they just need to fire up the hummer and finish what they started.  Another video package set to music, highlighting everything that went down in the last week or so, then to the arena for the opening pyro, live from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson and Mark Madden are on commentary, so I guess Mark recovered from his attack by Tank. They run down the card for tonight, going over the tournaments and the Millionaires Club's chances. They also tell us that Russo and Eric have made it clear to the referees that they don't want them to jump the gun and throw matches out immediately, so the DQ rule will be a more relaxed. Recap of what happened with Rock and the McMahons on Smackdown. We're live from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA for the go-home episode of Summerslam. JR is here by himself unsure where King is for the time being. Rock is here to get the show started. He gets in his usual cheap pops. He uses the fact that Louisiana is shaped like a boot to transition into wanting to take his own boot, put some jambalaya on it, some gumbo on it, some Louisiana hot sauce on it, and shove it so far up Trips' ass it comes out of his mouth, then put some more hot sauce on it, turn it sideways and stick it up Angle's ass. He says it's the only way they'll ever be united, because they have different agendas, pointless goals, that being to take away his title and win the heart of Stephanie who he calls different variations of a slut.
