Before we get to the first match, Shane Helms is backstage asking Shannon to let him go out on his own, as long as Chavo doesn't have any backup.
WCW Cruiserweight Championship: Shane Helms vs Chavo Guerrero Jr. (c)
Pre-Match: Reminders that Shane and Shannon won a three-team, every man for himself ladder match for the title shot, then Shane beat Shannon on the following Nitro to get this one on one match.
Quick exchange of holds with Shane getting the better applying an armbar, Chavo scrambling to the ropes for a break. Another exchange, Shane with a hammerlock to get the better again, Chavo gets the ropes a second time. Chavo with a cheap shot to take control this time, then some chops and an uppercut, Shane sent off the ropes, avoids a slam, delivers some arm drags. Rights by Shane and a wrist lock until he's decked with another cheap shot. Shane back off the ropes, ducks a clothesline, delivers a headscissor that nearly gets botched. Standing ten count reaches 7 before Shane drapes the arm for a near fall. Exchange of rights until Shane delivers an X-plex for a near fall. Chavo sent to the corner chest first and eats a superkick, Shane covers but Chavo gets his foot on the ropes.
Chavo back to the corner and dumps Shane out to the floor as he leaps to the middle rope. Chavo up top with a crossbody. Back to the ring, Chavo covers but it's a near fall. In the ring again, Shane back up top with a sunset flip and another near fall. Helms with a Samoan drop and another two count.
Shane goes for the Vertebreaker, Chavo blocks, but Shane hits the Nightmare on Helms Street, and it's still a near fall. Shane goes for it again but Chavo knees him on the head and rams him into the corner. Tornado DDT blocked by Shane, then reverses the brainbuster, then Chavo reverses another Nightmare into the brainuster to retain. (11:15) I don't have high hopes for the rest of this PPV, and I say that because I think it peaked here with this awesome match.
Tenay caught up with Flair in the parking lot earlier in the day to ask about the Mystery Man. Flair says it's not the right time to reveal their identity, and says he's under lock and key. He says his identity must remain a mystery because that's what this show is all about. Tenay tries to get hints but Flair won't play, says he's going to bring the guy out personally and says he'll rock Steiner's world at the foundation.
Okerlund is with Vito and Johnny the Bull. Sanders has banned Johnny from ringside for this match but Johnn doesn't care. Vito says this emotional roller coaster stops tonight. He says everything he lives and stands for will come out. Reno took away his family, his car, robbed him and stole his girl, he's a winner every night and will keep surviving no matter what happens, he'll always wind up on top.

Reno tries to roll the dice but Vito hits a Northern Lights suplex for two. Reno sent off the ropes, blocks an impaler DDT and hits a t-bone suplex. Exchange of blows now, Reno sent off the ropes, counters a suplex to Roll the Dice for the win. (8:42) This match started off really good, but then like halfway through it felt like Reno got lost or something, or maybe just miscommunication issues.
Sanders is talking to Bryan Adams backstage. He calls them stupid and tries to use his power to get their services. He does hand some money and walks off. Clark has more money for a different job though.
Jung Dragons (w/ Leia Meow) vs Jamie Noble & Evan Karagias
Kaz and Evan start the match. Exchange of blows to start the match, then a quick exchange, Evan caught with a German suplex. Noble misses clothesline and caught with a headscissor, then dropkicks from the Dragons send them out to the floor. Pair Asai moonsaults take out Noble and Evan. Kaz up top and Evan crotches him, tries a superplex but Kaz blocks and sends Evan to the mat. Kaz caught midair with a dropkick, then sent to the corner, gets Evan with a drop toe hold into the middle buckle. Yang gets the hot tag, and Noble doesn't tag out. Dropkick from Yang, then a spinebuster on Evan. Dragon screw on Noble, then tries some kind of leg hold until Evan breaks it up. Yang with mounted punches on Evan in the corner, then caught with a bridging German by Noble, Kaz saves it, then dropkicked out by Evan, who follows with a springboard crossbody. Noble tries a Frankensteiner but caught with a powerbomb from the middle rope. Evan breaks up the pin.
Evan with a hangman's neckbreaker on Yang, then goes up top and hits a 450 and a cover, Kaz saves it. Slingshot DDT by Kaz into some kind of wristlock on Evan, and Noble saves it. Jumping tombstone by Noble on Kaz and a cover, Yang saves it. Yang with a rolling fireman's carry, then goes up top, Noble's too close to the corner so Yang completely misses a corkscrew moonsault. Yang improvises with an inside cradle for the win. (9:22) Another good one here, although the botched finish sucks.
Noble and Evan attack after the match and send the Dragons packing.
Totally Buff arrive in a vintage car. They have a run in of some kind for Plan B in case taking out Sarge doesn't work.
"Commissioner" Mike Sanders vs The Cat (w/ Ms. Jones)
Mike Sanders' commissionership and Ms. Jones' services are on the line.
Pre-Match: Reminder this is because Sanders won a three-round kickboxing match in sudden death overtime by countout thanks to Franchise at Halloween Havoc. Sanders has a mic and says that no matter what promises Cat makes, Sanders is in this for the money and isn't giving his job up for anything. Cat has shaved himself bald and also has a mic. He says he's going to win the commissionership for the people, and they'll send WCW back to the top, and get rid of trash like Sanders. Sanders and Cat gauge the crowd reactions and it allows Sanders to attack from behind.
Sanders with rights drops Cat in the corner, then chokes him. More rights drops Cat in the middle, then chokes him some more. More rights, more choking, then a quick exchange, Cat with a shoulder block and some mounted rights sends Sanders to the floor. Sanders retreats around the ring and lures Cat back in, attacking with stomps and clubs to the back and more rights. Cat with some shots until Sanders rakes the eyes, then more choking. Cat with kicks to the chest, then a spin kick. Mounted rights in the corner by Cat, then a low blow by Sanders, then a snapmare and a kick to the chest for two.
Cobra clutch by Sanders. Cat fights out, both come off the ropes, Cat blocks a sunset flip and decks Sanders, followed by an elbow drop. Uppercut by Cat, then Sanders tries to beg him off, only to pull Cat out to the floor. Sanders grabs a chair, but Jones grabs it and kicks him in the back. She chases him around the ring with the chair, then back into the ring. Referee is distracted allowing Jindrak and Stasiak to run out and attack Cat, then Kronik come out to even the odds, so I guess Cat was the one who paid them more. They shove Sanders' cash in his mouth and Cat hits the Feliner for the win. (5:45) Not a good match. And Cat as commissioner is... concerning.
Cat dances.
Flair shows the footage of Totally Buff arriving to Goldberg. Flair makes their match No DQ and has Flair sign something for a young fan.
Okerlund is with Slap Nuts himself. He asks how far Jeff will go to win the gold, if he'll turn on Steiner. Jarrett doesn't need someone else stirring the pot. Okerlund points out Jeff's history of lying, as well as coming out as the Mystery Man on Thunder. Jarrett threatens to hit him with the guitar and points out Steiner can't trust Sid or the Mystery Man, but he's there to watch his back, and he'll be champion again.
Canadian Penalty Box Match: Team Canada (w/ Major Guns) vs Filthy Animals (w/ Tygress)
"Hawksaw" Jim Duggan as special guest referee.
Pre-Match: Lance wants to be serious for a minute and wants our undivided attention. He says the Animals will get a taste of Canadian justice tonight, and if they want to break the law or bend the rules, they'll be in the penalty box. He knows Duggan is in the Animals' back pocket but it doesn't matter, he says they're the superior team and he'll have to raise their arms in victory. Animals, of course, interrupt the anthem. Penalty boxes are situated in the aisle. Duggan on the mic now and vows to call it down the middle, then explains the rules. No double teaming, low blows, striking the referee, outside interference, and anyone who breaks the rules will be sent to the penalty box until the red light goes off. If someone doesn't comply, he'll stuff them in himself.
Rey and Storm start with a quick exchange, Rey with a headscissor to get control, then elevated onto the top rope. Storm with a chop, then tries to distract Duggan so Elix can attack, but he's caught and sent to the box. Awesome argues with storm and bumps shoulders accidentally, but Duggan sends him to the box too anyways. Rey with a hurricanrana from the middle rope now, then a snapmare and a slingshot leg drop from Kidman as he tags in. Storm sent to the corner, then caught with a suplex on the rebound. Konnan tags in, scoop slam on Storm, then Rey powerbombed onto him. Storm sent to the corner for a clothesline, then Rey tags in, Elix and Awesome are out of the box. Springboard splash by Rey for two.
Kidman sent off the ropes, popped up but delivers a hurricanrana. Kidman counters an Irish whip with a snapmare and a leg drop, and Elix tags in, off the ropes with a right. Kidman sent to the corner, floats up into a headscissor, then misses a clothesline, avoids a back suplex and hits one of his own. Kidman sent off the ropes, Storm tries to distract Duggan again, Awesome pulls Kidman down by the hair but gets caught, so to the box he goes again, along with Storm. Elix with a spinning heel kick, covers but Duggan is busy sending the two to the box to notice.
DDT by Kidman and Konnan's back in. Elix sent off the ropes into a rolling thunder clothesline, then a fancy octobus stretch, but pulls him up and in comes Rey. Scoop slam and a springboard leg drop for two, Storm and Awesome are out of the box. Konnan back in, sent off the ropes into a dropkick, but elevates Elix to the apron. Elix with a headscissor, then ducks a clothesline, but caught with an inverted DDT for two. Konnan caught with a drop toe hold, then Elix up top with a missile dropkick, landing on his feet.
Awesome tags in. Konnan sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline, tries a crossbody but caught with a backbreaker for two, but Duggan's slow to drop for the count. Konnan sent off the ropes and delivers a headscissor. Clothesline in the corner by Awesome, then a baseball slide by Kidman in the corner. Rey and Kidman go for an assisted Bronco Buster but Duggan cut them off and send them to the box. Konnan sent to the corner, tries to float over but caught with a powerslam for two, fair count this time by Duggan.
Tygress sprays some water on Guns and leads to a catfight, so he sends both to their boxes. Elix has since tagged in and delivers a snapmare, then a springboard leg drop, followed by a rear chinlock on Konnan. Awesome tags in, comes off the top with a flying clothesline for two, Kidman and Rey are out of the box. Storm is in, sent off the ropes into a mule kick and a facejam.
Kidman gets the hot tag, off the top with a back elbow, then Storm sent off the ropes into a back drop and a dropkick. Kidman sent of fthe ropes, counters a slam with a sitout spinebuster for two. Storm with a jawbreaker, then hip tossed to the apron and his neck snapped on the top rope. Rey tags in and Kidman hits a crossbody, then Elix takes him out, then Konnan takes out Elix. Awesome is about to use a pair of scissors on Kidman but he's caught and sent to the box. Spinning heel kick by Rey in the ring sets up the Bronco Buster. Tygress hits one too but it gets her sent to the box and Storm retreats to the apron.
Storm caught between the ropes and Rey comes off the top with a leg drop but it only gets two. Rey sent off the ropes, Kidman tags in before Rey is superkicked out. Kidman hits the Kid Crusher and covers, but Awesome breaks it up. Rey tries a sunset flip, but eats an Awesome Bomb. He covers but they're not the legal men. Storm applies the Maple Leaf on Kidman and Duggan eventually calls for the bell for the tapout victory. (13:08) The action was great, but this stipulation made it unnecessarily complicated.
Tenay is backstage with the Thrillers. Sanders says Kronik made the worst mistake of their lives, and what goes around comes around. He says it's not over with Cat until the fat lady sings, and he hasn't heard Cat's mama sing yet. Sanders has chosen Palumbo and O'Haire to challenge the Insiders later.
Palumbo says they're the future of the business, and in five years when Nash and DDP are nowhere to be found they'll own the business. He tells the Insiders they can't stop time or the future, or them tonight. O'Haire says the Insiders think they're cool, but it's not gonna stop him from wearing their blood tonight. He says they don't know how twisted he can be, some think he should be in jail and he thinks they're right.
Insiders are getting ready in the locker room.
We get a recap package of things since Funk returned.
WCW Hardcore Championship: Meng vs Crowbar (w/ Daffney) vs Terry Funk (c)
Pre-Match: Meng still has the title hostage. Daffney is in the crowd by the aisle, throws water in Funk's face and gets pulled in the aisle by the hair. Crowbar attacks from behind with a chair to start the match.
Funk still has her by the hair as Crowbar nails him again, and again and again in the head.. They head backstage to the bathrooms, Funk thrown into a wall. Funk throws a mop bucket at Crowbar. Funk with a trash bin to the head of Crowbar, then again as they head to the stalls. Crowbar thrown into each stall door, then has one slammed into his head. Meng finally shows up and nails Funk with the mop bucket and they finally leave the bathroom. Funk nailed in the head with a trash can in the ribs, then the head and they make their way back to the arena. Headbutt by Meng to Crowbar and now they're backstage again, Meng sent head and back first into a metal shutter, then Funk throws a trash can into his face.
Funk sends his head repeatedly into the shutter, then Crowbar sends Funk's head into it repeatedly, then Meng knocks their heads together. Crowbar with rights on Meng, then they bury Meng under a stack of tables, Crowbar covers and Funk breaks it up. Funk and Crowbar return to the arena, Funk with chair shots to the head, then sprays Funk with a fire extinguisher and throws a chair into his face, then a chair across the back, then a laptop to the head. Funk bounced repeatedly off a table face first. Crowbar lays him on top next to some bleachers and Crowbar climbs up, hitting a leg drop through the table.
Meng is back and nails Crowbar repeatedly with a trash can, then a headbutt. Jawbreaker by Crowbar, then a low blow by Meng as they take it to the stage. Chops are traded and barely faze Meng, even repeated ones. Crowbar counters a suplex but gets sent down the ramp with a superkick. Funk ith a shovel across the back and over the head of Meng. Funk grabs a guard rail and lays it against the other rails. Shovel to the head of Meng again, then scoop slams Crowbar through the guard rail, Crowbar's foot gets caught in the bars on the landing. Chair to the back of Crowbar, then the head and again, taking it to the ring.
Crowbar with the chair to Funk's knee, then very poorly Pilmanizes the knee, with some stomps and a splash onto the knee and chair. Crowbar slaps him a few times, then Funk wth some slaps and rights and Meng is back. Crowbar sent off the ropes and hits a dropkick. Meng with some clubs to the back of Crowbar and gets no sold as he applies a figure 4 on Funk. Meng goes to the top rope and hits a splash on Crowbar. Meng with a piledriver on Crowbar and a cover, Funk breaks it up.
Funk mounts with rights on Meng. Headbutt by Meng, then a scoop slam before going up top with another splash, covers and Crowbar breaks it up. Funk and Crowbar nail him in the head repeatedly with a chair each, Crowbar covers, Funk pulls him off and covers but gets two. Funk with a DDT on Meng, cover and Crowbar breaks it up. Funk nailed in the head with a chair by Crowbar, then Meng superkicks the chair into his face. Tongan Deathgrip on Funk leads to a pin and the victory. (11:44) Fuck me this was awful and went way too long. On the bright side, this is the last Hardcore Title match ever. Meng is on his way out, he shows up at the Rumble the following Sunday, and WCW just defuncts this title, and good riddance.
Cat and Ms. Jones are walking backstage and bump into Flair, who congratulates him. Flair gives him the night off with caviar, champagne and a limo. Cat just wants collared greens and Flair says its on him.
Okerlund is with Sid. Nothing would make him happier than to see Steiner and Jarrett run like frightened children. He says he's the original madman of WCW, he wants what's his, and he will chokeslam everyone through the ring straight to hell. At the end of the night, he says he'll be standing alone as WCW Champion.
Hype video for the Tag Title match.
WCW World Tag Team Championships: Natural Born Thrillers vs The Insiders (c)
Pre-Match: Page comes out to a new song. Apparently the full version has that Nirvana riff still, but you don't hear it here. This is supposed to be Palumbo and O'Haire, however after the entrances, Sanders and the rest of the Thrillers come out. Sanders says that Nash taught him how to be a coach, and as a coach, he needs to be able to make substitutions. So at any point in this match, Sanders can substitute one Thriller for another. Flair comes out with security and puts the kaibosh on that, and threatens the rest with fines and suspensions if they don't go to the back.
Page and Palumbo start the match with a shoving contest in the corner, then Palumbo gets in a cheap shot. They spit at each other before exchanging blows, Page taking control with rights and a clothesline. Page sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline, hits a Uranagi for two, before a Cactus clothesline to the floor. Right back to the ring, Palumbo rolls out the other side to regroup.
Nash and O'Haire tag in. Scoop slam by Nash. O'Haire sent off the ropes, ducks some elbows but runs into a big boot. O'Haire sent to the corner, back flips over Nash and delivers a super kick. Palumbo tags in and they take the boots to Nash, now rights in the corner. Palumbo sent across the ring, tries to float over, caught on the shoulder for snake eyes, then Nash drops the leg on the back as Palumbo drops over the middle rope. Clothesline by Nash and Page tags in, off the top with a clothesline for two.
Page sent off the ropes, nailed in the back by O'Haire and Palumbo nails him with a Jungle Kick for two. O'Haire tags in and more boots on Page now. Palumbo back in for a double slingshot suplex for two. Palumbo sent to the corner, catches Page with an elbow, then snaps his neck over the top rope. O'Haire back in, gets some shots in, Palumbo in again. Page whiplashed into the corner, then a double clothesline. Page fighting back only to be knocked back down. Page fighting back again trying to get of the Thriller corner, Palumbo tries a tombstone but Page reverses into one of his own.
Nash gets the hot tag, in comes O'Haire, rights to both, then a pair of sidewalk slams. O'Haire sent off the ropes into a big boot, then the same for Palumbo. Nash pulls down the straps and out the Thrillers. Then for some reason, Luger comes out through the crowd with a chair, Nash with the jackknife on Palumbo. Security come out to stop the Thrillers as O'Haire and Nash go at it, Page goes after Luger in the crowd. Big boot on O'Haire, then tries the jackknife but Bagwell appears in a disguise to hit him in the back with a wrench. Seanton Bomb to win the titles. (11:17) Solid match until the finish. God I'm tired of seeing Luger and Buff.
Page returns to the ring but it's too late.
Tenay is already with the Thrillers backstage. Sanders denies asking for Buff's help and don't need it, says it's not their fault the Insiders can't watch their own backs.
Flair gets in his limo to get the Mystery Man.
Hype package for the US Title match.
First Blood Chain on a Pole Match for the WCW US Heavyweight Championship: The Franchise vs Gen. Rection (c)
Pre-Match: I just have to point out this isn't one of those chains with big links, this is more like something you'd have for a necklace. And despite the act it's a Chain ON A POLE Match, this chain isn't even hanging from a pole, it's hanging over the ring like this was a ladder match. Douglas points us to the chain and reminds us this started over Torrie, and now it's exploded into much more. He says the US Title is his stepping stone to Steiner's World Title. Come hell or high water, he'll walk out the champion, and there's nothing the Indiana imbeciles can do about it.
Rection being the smart babyface points out that Douglas could have a chain hidden in his gear and sure enough he did. Douglas still attacks Rection from behind and delivers rights in the corner, trying to open him up early, off the ropes into a two-handed choke. Rection with a wristlock, then Shane sent off the ropes into an armdrag, and Rection continues to work the arm. Rights by Rection now drops Douglas in the corner, then he's choked after the ref looks for blood. Short-arm shoulder blocks, then a wristlock slam. Mounted rights by Rection as he eyes up at the chain.
Eye poke by Douglas, then face first in the corner, followed by more rights. Rection fights back with some of his own and some chops, until Douglas delivers a low blow when he turns his back. Rection sent across the ring, floats over to the apron, goes up top with a clothesline. Rection back up top for a moonsault but he gets crotched before he can connect.
Douglas with stomps to the back of the head, then a shin breaker, now torqueing the knee around the bottom rope. Kicks to the knee now, then a figure 4. Douglas releases the hold prematurely and jawjacks to the fans, before getting back dropped to the floor. Douglas sent into the guard rail, then Rection sent into it, before getting dumped into the crowd. Douglas off the guard rail with a splash, mounting with more rights. Douglas goes face first off the guard rail, then Rection hops the rail only to be crotched on it.
Back to the ring, Douglas applies... something resembling a figure 4? Like he doesn't apply it like a normal figure 4, he just kinda pushes his chin against the leg to apply it. Snapmare into a rear chinlock. Rection fights out, sends Douglas off the ropes into a gorilla press. Rection goes under the ring and pulls out a ladder, nails Douglas in the head with it as he gets it in the ring.
Rection gets the chain off, but Douglas pushes over the ladder, and in the process takes out the ref. Douglas pulls out another chain from his knee pad and he nails Rectioon in the head with it before stashing it away. Douglas takes the chain from Rection, who's now bleeding, and the referee calls for the bell as he comes to. (11:38) This match was confusing, they did everything but try to make each other bleed more of the time, meanwhile commentary acted like they've never seen a ladder before, because they had no idea how anyone could possibly take down the chain.
Okerlund is with Steiner and Midajah. Steiner says he can't trust Sid, the Mystery Man, or Flair, he can only trust his freaks. He says Flair's been stacking the deck ever since he won the title, but he's going down in history as the greatest World Champion of all time. Steiner says it's always been about two things, his freaks and his peaks.
Rection is with MIA backstage. Cajun and A-Wall are trying to give him a pep talk but Rection's having none of it and walks off dejected and frustrated.
Hype package for Goldberg's match.
No Disqualification Career-Threatening Streak Match: Totally Buff vs Goldberg (35-0) & "Sarge" Dewayne Bruce
Pre-Match: For some reason this match is so important it needed Buffer's introduction. Though he does not say his trademark phrase.
Despite being no DQ, we're enforcing tags here for reasons unknown. Goldberg and Luger start the match, Luger gets overpowered into the corner for boots and rights off a lockup, then some knees and elbows to the back of the head. Luger sent off the ropes into a flying shoulder block. Butterfly suplex by Goldberg and Luger retreats to his corner and in comes Buff.
Buff with a cheap shot and some rights, followed by a suplex and Goldberg is up immediately as Buff struts. Buff sent off the ropes into a military press right into a powerslam. Sarge tags in, boots to the ribs, then the cast to the head, Buff sent off the ropes into a back elbow, then a shot on Luger. Scoop slam by Sarge, then a back suplex. Sarge walks along the middle rope for an elbow drop for two.
Cast to the back of Buff, then a cast shot for Luger. Buff takes advantage to hit a jawbreaker, Luger snaps Sarge's neck over the top rope. Buff with rights now and Luger is back in. Sarge sent off the ropes into double back elbows. Goldberg is trying to get in and the ref sends him to the apron because why use logic here? Sarge is sent to the floor and into the guard rail by Buff. Back in the ring, boots by Luger, Sarge sent off the ropes into a clothesline for two.
Double-underhook DDT by Buff and a cover but Goldberg saves it, then Sarge is tossed out to the apron for Luger to attack. Snapmare and a rear chinlock by Bagwell. Sarge fights out but gets cut down and Luger is back in. Sarge is fighting back again and cut down again. Sarge sent off the ropes into a forearm and a cover, Goldberg saves it again. Buff in again. Sarge counters a suplex with one of his own.
Sarge makes the hot tag and in comes Luger. Rights all around, clothesline to Luger sends him out to the floor, then Goldberg with a pumphandle suplex to Buff sends him to the floor next. The kid from earlier is in the front row and Luger gets his hands on him, so Goldberg makes the save. Only for the kid to spray what I assume is mace in his eyes, and Goldberg literally yeets him over the rail to ringside. Security rush the kid and Luger wails on Goldberg with a chair, then pulls security off the kid before high fiving him.
Goldberg is tossed back in the ring and blindly swings at Buff, kicks at air and manages to get Luger in the corner, but Buff makes the save, only to be clotheslined. Luger nails Goldberg in the back with a chair again, then the head. Luger gets Goldberg on his shoulders as Buff goes up top, and... well Luger and/or Goldberg are too tall, or Buff can't jump high enough, because he doesn't get enough height for what's supposed to be a Doomsday Blockbuster. Either way it gets the win. (11:04) OK there are many thing wrong with this match, one being that you have Sarge here and somehow Goldberg eats the win? Then you end his new streak with fucking Luger and Buff? And presumably Flair has to be in on this right? He's the one who introduced the kid to Goldberg in the first place, which is intriguing, but again, you go with Buff and Luger?
Referee gets some water to try and clear Goldberg's vision. Mostly stunned silence from the crowd, Goldberg get's helped out and that's it. What a way to go...
Hype package for the main event.
WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Sid Vicious vs Jeff Jarrett vs The Mystery Man vs Scott Steiner (c)
Pre-Match: At this point I'm convinced Flair's got a heel turn coming, which brings to question just what's going on with this Mystery Man. Flair comes out and interrupts Buffer's introduction of the Mystery Man, and says though he promised a mystery man, he never said when he'd be here, and calls for the match to start without him.
Steiner leaves the ring to go after Flair but Jarrett tries to pull him back. Steiner returns and Sid gets tossed to the floor by Steiner, only to be sent into the guard rail. Back in the ring, Jarrett sent off the ropes into a back elbow, then back off the ropes, Sid tries a chokeslam but Jarrett pokes the eyes, then runs into a sidewalk slam. Clotheslines to Steiner and Jarrett, then mounted rights to Steiner in the corner. Sid sent into Steiner who knees Sid, then delivers his spinning belly to belly, covers but Sid's foot is on the ropes.
Jarrett chokes Sid over the middle rope, then drops the leg over the back. Sid sent off the ropes into a clothesline, followed by an elbow and pushups by Steiner. Sid tossed back out to the floor, then into the guard rail, then across the floor into and over the rail into the crowd. Sid gets his throat snapped over the guard rail before Steiner nails him with the title. Back in the ring, Sid face first in the corner, then Steiner, then some rights to Steiner and Jarrett, Jarrett sent off the ropes into a boot. Sid tries a powerbomb but Steiner saves it.
