Dustin has control, elbows and rights on Rick, then takes him face first in the corner. Rick gets some shots in, then sent off the ropes, Dustin comes off the opposite ropes with a clothesline. Here's Ric, Sanders and Animal now and they're followed by security. Flair keeps repeating that Dustin's out of there and doesn't work for WCW anymore. Rick attacks Dustin from behind and knocks him out of the ring. Dustin tries to fight back but Ric threatens to sue him, tells him to get in his rent-a-car and go back to Texas. So I guess this is a no contest?
Flair, Animal and Sanders joins Rick in the ring. Flair says he saved Rick's life and says he's the most powerful man in the world. He says the Seven run the world, and this prompts Cat to come out with Ms. Jones. Cat says Flair's lost his mind and that he's reinstated Dustin, and threatens to reinstate his foot in Flair's ass. Flair's tired of Cat interfering in everything, so he's having Storm vs Cat tonight for the commissionership. And so there's no interference and things are fair, he's making Sanders the referee, who conveniently has a ref shirt on under his suit. He gives Cat three minutes to get ready and tells Animal and Rick to leave Cat be.

They go down to the ring ready to finish off Cat for good, but Nash pops up on the Nitro Vision who warns them not to attack Cat. He says Flair doesn't have all the bases covered, he's forgotten something despite Flair being so sure of himself.
Camera pans down and Nash has David Flair held hostage. He says he's running the show tonight. He says David's probably still on Ric's insurance and won't want to pay the bill when Nash is done with him. Demand #1: Storm vs Cat again at Superbrawl for the Commissionership. Flair gives in but begs he leaves David alone. Demand #2: Dustin vs Rick Steiner for real tonight, and if Dustin wins, he's reinstated, and Nash gets a shot at Scott's belt tonight. He also completely flubs his lines, so this is either live or they couldn't be bothered to reshoot this. Flair agrees. Nash is tired of their bullshit and if he has to hurt David he'll do it.
Commercial

Recap of the history between Page and Kanyon, from their time in the Jersey Triad, to Kanyon getting thrown off the cage at Slamboree, to Kanyon turning on him at the Bash to force DDP out of the company. Stasiak, I think, is supposed to get Palumbo in a victory roll, with a handful of tights and a hand on the rope, but they screw it up so bad that the referee is in plain view of all this and can't do it, and it's barely even a rollup. Palumbo eventually gets caught with a normal rollup and a handful of tights and Stasiak wins. (8:03) Another that dragged a bit too long, wasn't too awful, but that finish kinda ruined it.
Stasiak gets a mic and repeats that he carried Palumbo from the beginning, and proved it tonight, and will prove it again at the PPV.

Jarrett sent off the ropes, caught with a sitout powerbomb, Rick breaks up the pin. Belly to belly by Rick, then to the middle rope with the bulldog, covers but Dustin saves it. Dustin and Rick battle on the floor. Page avoids a slam, tries the Diamond Cutter, gets shoved into a forearm from Rick and into the Stroke for the win. (7:27) Terrible. Made worse by some woman in the crowd who would not stop screaming and hollering at the top of her lungs the whole time.
Scott's here now with his pipe and goes after Page with shots to the ribs. Hugh Morrus and Bryan Adams are here to make the save, but then Totally Buff run out. Security rush out and Steiner attacks them all with the pipe.
