Week of September 18, 2000
Live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL for the Unforgiven go-home edition of Raw. Stephanie is out to start the show, just as JR announces this is their last show on the USA Network (until 2005). He also announces Rikishi vs Eddie Guerrero for the IC Title, Dudleyz vs RTC, plus Rock, Taker, Benoit and Kane are scheduled to appear at some point.
Steph is here to put an end to something that should have ended ages ago. She knows she's special and men have wanted her all her life, but what's going on has gone too far. She says her life changed back in November, calling it an amazing month for her, unlike for Austin, something she denies doing. She does bring up marrying the best man someone could ever marry that same month, and the same month Angle made his debut. She calls the issues between Hunter and Kurt petty and ugly, a brutal mess, cue the slut chant. She's calling the Commissioner out to cancel the match on Sunday, saying she'd be very unhappy if it goes on. She assures Foley that no one wants to see her unhappy.
Instead we get Angle. He admires her courage to come out in front of these roughneck fans instead of being at home and watching the Olympics, where he won his medals. He says this match has to happen because if he doesn't do something (cue asshole chants) and teach Hunter a lesson Steph will be even more unhappy than she already is. Even when he debuted, he knew Hunter was a bad guy. He says that while he's recovering from a concussion it's Steph that's lost her memory. He takes a shot at the Chicago Bears, sounds very timely about being a humbled, defeated loser. Kurt uses it as a segway to show footage of Hunter being with Trish and attacking Steph to My Time. Kurt insists that while the first couple times may have been accidents, the rest weren't and calls Hunter the most pathetic excuse of a human being he's ever seen, and will walk out on Steph's word
Here's Hunter now. Steph gets between them even though Hunter is oddly calm for once. Hunter says he knew about his video package, even watched it before the show, but started to consider the possibility he was wrong about Kurt, that maybe this is just a misunderstanding. He says Kurt is 30, in the prime of his life, a physical specimen, and could be defined as a stud, yet in front of him is a complete beauty in Steph, she has a face of an angel, the face, body and personality and is the total package. He says she could be the perfect woman. Meanwhile Kurt looks at her week after week and says he just wants to be her "friend." He questions why a guy would see a hot woman and would just want to be friends, to hang out with them, go shopping for drapes. He says there's nothing wrong with it, that alternative lifestyles are perfectly fine. He says it's OK if Kurt's batting for the other team. He admits national TV wasn't a good place for this but it would explain a lot, bringing up the looks Kurt's given him, the smirks, he thinks it's time Kurt comes to terms with his true feelings, admit to himself, to open the closet.
Thank god Foley's here now to end this poorly-aged segment. Foley says he grew up with amateur wrestlers, and was himself one, even if he wasn't on Angle's level. He also says no one ahs more respect than he does for Angle winning his gold medals. And while Angle represented the US team he wonders what team he's playing for now. Never mind, go away Mick. He says no one wants to see their triangle break up, but that's why the match needs to happen, and moreso why he made himself the referee. Foley says they won't tear each other apart tonight, but all three will see action. He makes T&A and Trish against Angle, Hunter and Steph for tonight.
Cut to RTC in the locker room. Steven says he's tried to censor the Dudleyz before, before he met Goofather and Bull of course. Bull promises the Dudleyz will see things like they did. Goodfather goes to talk but they're ambushed by the Acolytes until Val joins in to beat them down. RTC leave.
Commercial
Dudley Boyz vs Right to Censor (w/ Steven Richards & Val Venis)
Bubba and Bull start us off, Bull with cheap shots takes Bubba to the corner for rights and lefts to the body. Bubba sent to the corner, gets a boot up and hits a clothesline before knocking Goodfather to the floor. Scoop slam and the What's up on Bull connects. Bubba calls for the tables, but Steven and Val attack while Bull has the referee distracted. D-Von gets tossed into the ring into a clothesline from Bull. Goodfather back in, D-Von sent off the ropes into big boots. Goodfather sends D-Von to the corner for a clothesline. Bull back in, sent to the corner and rebounds into a forearm. Bubba tags in with clotheslines, then a scoop slam, then a sidewalk slam on Goodfather and a DDT on Bull, cover and Goodfather saves it. Goodfather gets elevated to the floor, inverted 3D on Bull. D-Von goes after Val on the floor. Richards with the Steven Kick on Bubba behind the ref's back, Bull rolls over for the win. (3:07)
Dudleyz gets attacked 4-on-2 until the Acolytes run out to even things and make the save.
Rock arrives.
Commercial
Rock comes out. He realizes people respond to losing different, some well, others poorly, which prompts him to show Taker chokeslamming him through a table on last week's Smackdown following their loss to the Dudleyz. He says he's never liked Taker and probably never will, but has always respected him. He understands if Taker was angry for being put through the table, for Rock being champion and he isn't, but if he wanted a shot at the title tonight all he had to do was ask. Rock says Taker can come out as the American Badass, the Phenom, the Lord of Darkness, or the Lord of Monkey Piss, it ultimately doesn't matter, all that matters is he comes out, they do this an hour or 37 minutes from now, so Rock can whoop his candy ass.
Taker is here now. He wants to remind Rock why Rock should respect him, he says while Rock was in high school in the backseat of his dad's car trying to get laid, he was humping the roads and winning WWF Titles. He says that some people never learn, the People's Champ included, and reminds Rock what he said on Smackdown: don't piss him off. He says Rock left him hanging for the Dudleyz to put him through a table, says it pissed him off. He says Rock can stand there, lift all the eyebrows, talk about monkeys' nipples, or even fantasize about shoving things up people's asses, he just hopes Rock can back up the smack his mouth's spewing. He says that while he doesn't dress like Satan he's still down with the Devil and will go medieval on Rock's ass.
Here's Foley again. He for some reason lays out the rules of a fatal four-way match and reminds Rock he can lose the title without being pinned. He surprisingly isn't here to keep them from tearing each other apart and makes Rock vs Taker for tonight, which brings out Benoit. He says he deserves a shot at the title tonight, calling himself the world's greatest technical wrestler. He says he should get a title shot because no one in the ring or the back can prove him wrong. This prompts Kane to get involved, his pyro scaring the shit out of Benoit and says he's the only one that deserves a title shot.
Foley says that Rock is capable of many things: electrifying a crowd, creating a catchphrase he can steal, wearing a fuzzy shirt shirt and getting away with it, but he says Rock isn't capable of giving away title shots, clarifying the match he just made a few moments ago will be a non-title match. He also makes Benoit vs Kane for tonight. Benoit and Kane start fighting at ringside until ref's rush out to break them up. Then Benoit nails him in the back with a chair. Taker and Rock stare down in the ring, Taker having some words.
Cameras caught up with Hugh Heffner who said Eddie isn't going to stop Chyna from being in Playboy.
Cut to Eddie and Chyna in the back, they seem to have made up. Eddie apologizes for what he did last week at the Playboy Mansion and that everyone deserves to see her and enjoy her. She says she forgives him and reminds him of his match with Rikishi. He says he'll be more supportive and should respect him while he's having a coughing fit, he says he's feeling queasy. Chyna leaves to get him a drink.
Commercial
Back to the arena and Benoit and Kane are fighting their way back to the ring with referees trying to separate them again. Benoit gets press slammed into the ring from the floor to get the match properly started.
Kane vs Chris Benoit
Benoit right on the attack until he's thrown into the corner for rights. Benoit sent to the corner, avoids a sidewalk slam, tries a waistlock but gets caught in a backbreaker. Benoit sent off the ropes, through the legs and Kane swipes away a dropkick, coming off the ropes to miss an elbow. Benoit with a dropkick to the knee, then a right from Kane. Benoit sent off the ropes, ducks an elbow, caught by the throat, but Benoit goes for the knee. Benoit avoids a big boot and hits the knee again with a dropkick. Benoit drives the knee into the mat, then uses the ropes to drop his weight on it. Elbow drop to the back of the knee, Kane eventually fights out with an enziguri.
Kane mounts a comeback, Benoit tries a backslide only to be dropped with a clothesline. Benoit sent off the ropes into a big boot. Benoit sent to the corner and Kane goes shoulder first into the post before sending Benoit to the floor. Benoit pulls him out under the ropes only to be dropped chest first on the barricade. Benoit grabs the ring bell, gets on the apron, Kane grabs him and gets nailed in the head with the bell for the DQ. (3:54)
Benoit nails him again with the bell, and Benoit shoves the ref away. Leg drop by Benoit, then goes up top to hit the flying headbutt. Kane immediately sits up and Benoit makes a quick escape.
T&A and Trish are walking backstage and they make a protection joke.
Hunter tells Steph to stay away from T&A, and knows she can handle Trish. He also says he'll try and stay away from Angle. Steph doesn't understand what Foley's thinking and is also upset she never got her rematch for the Women's Title. Kurt enters the room and Hunter tells him where to find the women's room. Angle brushes him off and says he'll protect Steph, and tells tells Hunter to try going a week without hitting her. Hunter tells him to go a match without hitting on him.
Commercial
Kurt Angle, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley vs T&A & Trish Stratus
Albert and Hunter start, with Albert tossing Hunter into the corner for a right. Hunter sent off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and connects with a high knee. Test and Angle tag in, Test with rights sends Angle off the ropes, he slips around to deliver a German suplex. Hunter back in, Test sent to the corner, gets a boot up but runs into a clothesline. Angle back in with rights and a back suplex. Albert tags in while Anglw is talking with Hunter and he turns around into a clothesline. Albert sends Angle to the corner, he ducks a clothesline but gets caught with a butterfly suplex. Test back in, Angel to the corner gets a boot up and mounts a comeback only to be caught with a gutwrench powerbomb. Test goes for the gutwrench but Angle counters with a DDT.
Steph gets the hot tag, much to her confusion despite the fact she was asking for a tag, Hunter's not having it. Hunter immediately takes Test to the corner, hitting him with a neckbreaker off a rebound in the corner. Albert gets sent to the floor. Hunter sent off the ropes hits a facebuster on Test, covers, ref counts even though he's not the legal man but Albert pulls him out of the ring, even JR is confused. Angle runs into a pump kick from Albert and they go to the floor. Steph slaps Steph. Test shoves her into the corner, Trish runs in to hit a bulldog. Test gets in her face, goes up top but Hunter makes the save, then shoves Trish from the apron. Hunter Pedigrees Test, pulls Steph on top for the win. (5:14) Not a bad match.
Angle celebrates and hugs Steph which causes Hunter to attack and sends Angle out of the ring. Ref tries to keep Hunter from attacking more, he gets thrown aside. Steph keeps him away until more refs run out to separate them.

Replay of the finish and what happened after that last match.
Back to Eddie and Chyna. Eddie's wrapped in a blanket and she's giving him something to pop into his mouth. Eddie's not getting any better. Chyna wants to get Foley to cancel his match, but he insists she replace him because he knows she can kick Rikishi's butt. Chyna eventually agrees, but Eddie points out the match is next.
Commercial
Chyna vs Rikishi is supposed to happen now, but Tazz comes out instead, for some reason in a tuxedo? Sort of? It's his usual attire but he also has a bowtie for some reason. Tazz makes Lilian say that she knows nothing, because apparently Tazz's gimmick is that he's an awful comedian now? He kicks her out of the ring to take over ring announcing duties.
Chyna(?) vs Rikishi
Pre-Match: Tazz is actually nice to Chyna, but bills Rikishi as being 6,000lbs from the waist down. Scott Steiner he is not. Then Tazz spends time taunting Lawler. Then Eddie comes out still wrapped in a blanket pretending to be near death from atop the ramp. Rikishi attacks Eddie anyways, sending Eddie into the steps and into the ring. Eddie sent to the corner for the ass slam, setting Eddie up for the Stinkface. Chyna is conflicted but eventually delivers forearms to Rikishi for the save. Eddie then comes out of his blanket to spray something in Rikishi's eyes and gives up the ruse, eventually leaving the ring. Chyna tries to check on Rikishi but gets a Samoan droop for her troubles as Eddie leaves. Rikishi tries to call him back to the ring, he hesitates. Rikishi pulls her to the corner to set up for the Banzai Drop, despite Eddie's pleading. Rikishi leaves and Tazz declares him the winner, but there was never a bell, no pin, I'm not even sure Chyna was officially replacing Eddie?
Tazz screams and laughs in Lawler's face while Eddie tends to Chyna.
Commercial
We come back from commercial to the surprise return of William Regal in the ring, as well as a small table, chair and a dining setup. He wants to be the goodwill ambassador to America. He says Americans don't have time for the finer things, most importantly being manners, and parents don't have time to teach their kids the skills to succeed in life, so he's here to do their job for them. He sits at the table to talk about the fine China, linen, the roses - he says it could be pansies - and silverware. He educates the fans on the order of the utensils and the proper etiquette of napkin use.
He's interrupted by Jericho. JR points out Jericho made his WWF debut in this same arena, and that he faces X-Pac at the PPV. Jericho calls him Willie, mocks his accent and tells him to shut the hell up. He calls this a debut and says that Regal should be making an impact, and no one knows that better than himself, particularly in Chicago. He says Regal needs to spice this up with action, excitement, entertainment, so he's here to perform a special Y2J magic trick. Jericho claims he's going to do that thing, where you pull the tablecloth off and leave everything on top intact, only to just bundle everything up and throw it out of the ring without any real effort, to Regal's shock and horror.
Jericho is then attacked from behind by X-Pac with num-chuks and Regal leaves, X-Pac taking Jericho to the corner. He sets the table on top of Jericho to stomp into it from the middle rope. This angle still makes little sense, there's been no explanation to why X-Pac is doing this. We get a replay because the cameras originally missed it, X-Pac nailed him in the back of the head. Tazz is having a laughing fit.
Rock is in his locker room pacing.
Replay of the Tables Match from Smackdown.

Replay of Austin getting run over in November.
WWF Tag Team Championships: Too Cool vs Edge & Christian (c)
Pre-Match: OK Tazz is kinda growing on me, maybe it's just repetition. He bills Too Cool as being 132lbs combined. Apparently Foley only made this match a few minutes ago.
Edge and Sexay start the match off with a quick exchange, Sexay taking control taking Edge t to the corner. Snapmare and a tag to Scotty for a double elbow drop. JR also announces Rikishi vs Eddie for the IC Title has been made for the PPV. Christian tags in for another exchange, Scotty takes control with a suplex and a kip up. Moonwalk by Scotty only to be sent off the ropes, kneed in the back by Edge and runs into a spinning heel kick by from Christian. Scotty taken to the corner for boots and rights and a choke, sent across the ring, gets the boots upm then an elbow and hits a clothesline.
Sexay gets the hot tag and in comes Edge. Sexay with clotheslines and scoop slams, then E&C sent into the corner, Edge falling head first into Christian's balls. Sitout powerbomb by Sexay on Edge gets broken up by Christian. Sexay sent to eh corner, gets a boot up, Scotty comes off the ropes with the bulldog to set up The Worm. Edge pulls Sexay out of the ring, tries a spear on Scotty but Christian gets it instead. Scotty hits him with a DDT, Sexay hits the Hip Hop Drop. Sexay covers, ref is busy getting Scotty back to the apron. Christian runs in, Sexay avoids a belt shot. He and Scotty clothesline Christian to the floor, Scotty follows and Edge nails Sexay with the belt to retain. (4:03) Fun little match.
So a thing to point out is that while Tazz has been doing announcing duties he keeps getting in Lawler's face while yelling into the mic to piss him off, eventually security finally get him out of there.
Taker is getting ready backstage.
Commercial
Naked Mideon is at WWF New York.
Foley is out again for more political bullshit, specifically he's practically begging Gore and Bush to come to Smackdown for a debate.
Replay of Rock and Taker's staredown earlier.
Commercial
Benoit is at commentary for the main event. JR asks for a prediction for this match, but he just predicts he's leaving Unforgiven with the title.
The Undertaker vs The Rock (WWF Champion)
Taker overpowers Rock, then throws him into the corner for rights and lefts, then sends him across the ring, catching him with a sidewalk slam on the rebound for two. Rock back to the corner for more rights, then sent across the ring, hits an elbow and hits some rights of his own and a clothesline after sending Taker off the ropes. Rock gets tossed to the floor. More rights from Taker, then face first off the ring steps and more rights and elbows from Taker. Rock set against the ring post and Taker misses a right, Rock following with some of his own sending Taker onto the announce table, following with a shot to the groin.
Back in the ring, Rock with more rights, Taker counters an Irish whip, the ref gets bumped, Taker is sent fof the ropes and hits a DDT. Taker covers, and the ref is down so that's a no go. Taker sent off the ropes into a spinebuster and the People's Elbow connects, but the ref is still down Rock kicks him. Taker connects with the chokeslam, covers, ref comes to but it's a near fall. Rock Bottom avoided, Taker hits the Last Ride, makes the cover for the win. (4:24) I was for sure expecting interference from Benoit or Kane for a DQ, that kind of came out of nowhere.
Kane's back out now, Benoit leaves commentary to attack Taker, he gets double teamed. Taker fights back only to be hammered back down in the corner. Rock finally comes back to even the odds, sending Taker and Benoit packing. Rock gets Taker with a Rock Bottom to close things out.
Broadcasting from the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI for this edition of Smackdown, we don't even get the usual WWF or Smackdown opening, we go right to the ring where Foley is surrounded by the roster. Cole tells us Foley's conducting his own investigation into Austin's hit and run.
Oh now we get the usual opening before Rock makes his own separate entrance. Foley says that since no one wants to fess up he's decided to make some predictions. He's thought about who had most to gain from running over Austin, and says there were two big stars at the time running neck and neck for popularity, and further says one of their t-shirt sales, popularity and ability to electrify crowds went through the roof, being Rock.
Rock joins Foley in the ring clearly unamused and says he's feeling deja vu, he's told Foley multiple times he didn't do it, along with the cops and Austin himself. Rock says Foley has a hard time understanding English as a New York Times best-selling author, so Rock tells him again in simple English that he didn't do it. Then he proceeds to tell Foley again in what he claims to be Swedish and Chinese in what is a horribly aged promo.
He says he'd still be standing there as champion whether Austin got run over or not. Foley never thought he did it, but there's another who had a lot to gain, saw his career skyrocket, won WWF Titles, put him into retirement, fought Rock tooth and nail, that being Triple H.
Hunter enters the ring now. He calls this ridiculous, admits setting Austin up to get his ass beat, boasts about being good at whooping ass, but denies running him over, says he doesn't eliminate the opposition with cars. He says if he wanted to eliminate Austin he'd look him in his beady eyes and beat his ass like a man, and Foley should know better than anyone he can. He's been thinking though, maybe Foley's looking at this wrong, and maybe the one who did it didn't have some cold, maniacal plan. He suggests they were a really bad driver, so he suggests a woman did it because women (supposedly) are awful drivers, and that there's no one closer to a woman than Angle. He says that Kurt can try and hide it but it's true (it's true).
Angle enters the ring now. He suggests that they should be looking for motive. He says he beat guys tougher than Austin in the Olympics, and asks why he'd take someone out who's a foul-mouthed, beer drinking, trash talking, poor role model for children. Angle is insulted everyone's looking at him and randomly suggests it could be Essa Rios, who I didn't even know was still here, because it's always the quiet ones. He even suggests that Austin might have stolen his green card. Essa gets in the ring to defend himself in Spanish. Angle does his own translation and figures he said he's a bad man and should be punished. Then he returns the blame on Hunter and DX.
X-Pac is in the ring now and calls it a bunch of crap, he's tired of everyone at hi, Hunter and his friends. He knows who did though, someone who came into the company around the time, got off to a mediocre start, and accuses Jericho now. Jericho's next to join things. and though he wants to believe it was X-Pac's scrawny ass that ran Austin down, but it would've been impossible because he was too busy valiantly and bravely setting Austin up and locking him the parking garage. He thinks "Kirk Angel" made the best point though when he brought up motives, someone who hated Austin more than anyone, someone who's problem transcended business and became personal. He says it makes sense especially after what Austin did to her nerdy brother, her genetic jackhammer of a father, and was going to do to her soon-to-be husband (at the time), pointing the finger at the filthy, dirty, disgusting, brutal, bottom-feeding trash bag tramp in Steph.
Steph is in the ring now. Steph calls this unfair, she points to the footage that she, Shane, Vince and Test were on the scene when Austin was hauled into the ambulance, she says they couldn't have done it. She knows who did do it though, someone Foley wouldn't suspect, who wasn't there the night Austin was mowed down, one person who's heart is dark and twisted enough, remorseless. This being the man that once abducted her, The Undertaker. Foley asks him if this is true. He says it's true, that being that Steph is a sleazy tramp. Angle attacks Taker, Hunter attacks Angle, Jericho attacks X-Pac. Officials eventually rush in to break them all up to end this. Went too long but that was rather entertaining.
Announced for tonight, Rock, Taker and Hunter team up against Benoit, Angle and Kane.

Scotty 2 Hotty vs Val Venis (w/ Steven Richards)
Val has early control with rights in the corner, then Scotty takes control with rapid rights of his own. Val misses a clothesline and runs into a scoop slam before getting clotheslined to the floor. Scotty misses a baseball slide, Val leads him back into the ring, eats a superkick for two. Goodfather and Bull come out now allowing Val to attack from behind, Scotty sent to the corner for a clothesline,, followed by a suplex for two, and now Sexay's out.
Scoop slam by Val who goes to the middle rope misses an elbow. Scotty with some rights, then sent off the ropes, tripped by Richards but elevates Venis to the floor. Steven gets hip tossed into the ring, sent to the corner and hit with a bulldog on the rebound to set up for the Worm. Val attack from behind and hits the fisherman suplex before he can connect for the win. (2:36)
Sexay goes after Val but he's quickly triple teamed along with Scotty.
Cut to Steph and Hunter. He says he's proud of her for pinning Test on Raw. He says having Angle on their team basically made it a handicap match, having two women on his team. He says "those types of guys" aren't as good athletes as regular guys. Steph wants clarification, he compares Kurt to Greg Louganis and Carl Lewis. Flowers are delivered, Hunter reads the card and it's Kurt congratulating Steph on beating Test. Steph thinks he's sweet, Hunter thinks they ran out of pansies.

Hardys and Lita come out. Matt reminds everyone of the Cage Match on Sunday and says that the embarrassment will end for them and begin for E&C. They're quickly interrupted by the champs who appear on the Ovaltron in a dark room. Christian reminds them they embarrassed the Hardyz many times, and will do it for the last time at Unforgiven. Edge starts talking about grinding their faces into a pulp into the cage, but Christian interrupts to segway into some footage to showcase their talents. Specifically footage from 1990, when Matt and Jeff were known as High Voltage and Wolverine. More specifically home video footage of Matt cutting a promo on Jeff on a projector in the room. E&C do a bit of MST3K while it plays. Once its over Edge remarks how Matt's mic skills have somehow deteriorated since then and they give it two thumbs down. Then we go to footage of Jeff cutting a promo followed by more MST3K commentary from the champs. Christian remarks how Jeff captured the essence of missing a brain and give it another thumbs down. Then some more footage of Matt showing his dance moves and more commentary, even mocking his dance moves and a thumbs up this time. Hardyz and Lita leave the ring and rush to the back.
Commentary talk a bit before we cut to the back, Matt and Jeff are looking for the champs. They find their movie room and get ambushed from behind. Jeff gets tackled into Lita into the wall, Edge hits Jeff in the head with a chair before they give Matt a Conchairto.

Replay of what just happened.
WWF Hardcore Championship: Al Snow (WWF European Champion) vs Steve Blackman
Pre-Match: This week Al Snow is hailing from Spain, wearing a sombrero, bringing a pinata, and a picture of Ricardo Montalbon. He also has a matardor's hat and cape for the pinata. I don't know if this is racist or just dumb comedy.
Al starts the match smashing the pinata over Blackman's head, then sends him off the ropes into a clothelsine, followed by an elbow and some boots. Al immediately leaves the ring to grab some mini crutches a trash lid, and his duffel bag, returning to hit Blackman in the head with the lid. Back out of the ring to toss in another lid and a can, plus a chair. Al even grabs the steps only to have them smacked into him with a chair by Blackman. Back in the ring, Blackman grabs his escrima sticks, just as Saturn runs out with a stop sign and a referee. Stop sign to the back of the head of Blackman, then the head of Al, Northern Light suplex by Saturn on Blackman for two.
Now Test comes out with a third referee and a trash can. Trash can to the head of Saturn, then trades shots with Blackman. Now Albert runs out with a fourth referee. Blackman sent to the corner, Test whips Albert into him, then into a big boot from Albert. Snow with a trash can to the head of Test, Saturn and Albert fight in the corner. Blackman grabs his escrima sticks and beats everyone up with them. Blackman tries to suplex Albert with them only for Al to hit him with a trash can lid and Saturn knocks him to the floor. Al with a lid to the head of Albert. Crash runs out from the crowd, nails Blackman in the head with a street sign, makes the cover but only gets two. Double press slam from T&A on Saturn. Kaientai run out now and attack everyone that's in the ring with their flags. Saturn hits an Asai monnsault on a bunch of people on the floor. Blackman returns to the ring and attacks Funaki with a trash lid, then pops up Taka to hit him in the back of the head on the way down. Spin shot to the back of the head of Funaki, then superkicks a can into the face of Taka to cover and retain. (3:38) That was fun.
Al tries to get Blackman at the last second but he makes a quick escape.
Up next, a pre-taped message from Stone Cold.
More political bullshit.

Cut to Austin from what's supposed to be his home, but it's obviously a green screen. Anwyays he says he's not surprised the coward who ran him down hasn't confessed yet, but he's kind of happy so it didn't take the fun out of it. He says he's coming to Unforgiven to open his own investigation and it's not the only thing he's going to open up. He says he's going to open the biggest can of whoop ass we've ever seen, and everyone is a suspect. He says in his court of law, everyone's guilty until proven innocent.
Suddenly Shane is here, making his return after falling off the set at Summerslam. He's here for two reasons: to thank everyone for sending him cards, flowers and get-well wishes during his recover, and to talk about Austin's return. He recaps what happened at Summerslam, and talks how he woke up in the hospital, in the dark, scared out of his mind. He didn't know how bad he was injured, but was thankful they weren't as bad as first thought, and was sent home to begin intense rehab. He'd been enduring pain, but during that time an inspiration came into his life, that being Stone Cold. He says that when he heard of Austin's return, it inspired him, a man who was hit by a car, calls him the toughest S.O.B. the world has see, and realized that if Austin could overcome that, he could overcome his own problems.
He knows Austin is watching and vows to help him who tried to take him out. He knows people are doubting him and figures they think he's trying to cover his tracks. But for his defense, he shows the footage of Austin getting run over, and specifically what happened afterwards, when Vince, Steph, Test and himself were immediately there to check on Austin. He continues though. He says the footage doesn't show someone who's history leads him to believe beyond doubt that they took out Austin deliberately. He vows to show who took Austin out to Austin himself and the world at Unforgiven.
Cut back to Steph and Hunter. Steph believes him. Hunter caught onto something though. He says that while Shane claimed to have been in the hospital all night by himself after Summerslam, and it bothers him because Steph has said she was with him that night. Steph blames it on a concussion that Shane had and figures he wouldn't even know if Linda had been there. Hunter visibly doubts her and she leaves.

Off the ropes with a bulldog for two. Lawler tags in and Tazz immediately tags out. Cole announces Foley's made a Hardcore Title Invitational for Unforgiven, specifically open to former Hardcore Champions. X-Pac does the crane pose before he's dropped with a left. Lawler shoved into the corner on a lockup and X-Pac follows with rights Lawler turns it around with rights of his own, then sent off the ropes, avoids a back drop, goes for the piledriver but Tazz hits him from behind to save it. Lawler shoved into the corner for a series of kicks, setting him up for the Bronco Buster, only for Lawler to get his boot up.
Jericho gets the hot tag, clotheslines to X-Pac and Tazz knocked off the apron, only for Jericho to run into a heel kick. Tazz tags in, sends Jericho to the corner, gets a boot up, caught but hits an enziguri. Lawler back in, right to Tazz, who tags out as he retreats. X-Pac sent off the ropes, misses a heel kick and runs into a right. Another pildriver attempt only for Tazz to nail him in the back with a strap for the DQ. (2:44)
Tazzmission applied until Jericho saves and tosses Tazz out before taking the strap to X-Pac, chasing him to the back with it. Tazz gets the strap around Law'er's throat and chokes him out until ref's rush out to save.
Eddie is trying to defend himself to Chyna again but she's not having any of his bullshit and has had enough. She finally walks out on him.

Replay of what just happened.
JR is here to replace King on commentary as Eddie comes out with a bouquet of roses. He says Chyna means more to him than life itself, but he's done a lot of wrong to her. He wants to clear the air in front of everyone and asks Chyna to hear him out if she still has any love for him.
Chyna eventually does come out and Eddie even holds the ropes open for her. He offers her the roses only to be whacked with them. He understands but asks her to see it from his perspective, he says he thought he was losing her. She says she's heard it all before and is tired of it. She goes to leave, Eddie pulls her back, and she goes to slap him. He cuts her off and says he's done and said everything out of love, calls her a superstar, and himself nothing. He says she has it all and asks what he could offer that she doesn't already have. She says she only ever wanted love. He says he won't be jealous or overprotective of her anymore, and admits to freaking out over the Playboy thing. He again tries to share his perspective, says the only thing that belongs to him is her and has to share it with the world now, but admits he was wrong. He says she has a gorgeous, magnificent body and wants to prove that he will be supportive and the best partner she's ever had. To prove that he shows her Playboy cover on the Ovaltron and admits he was dumb to wanting to keep that from the world which actually makes her smile. He says she should be proud and that he is proud of her.
They're interrupted by Rikishi and says Chyna looks good tonight. He says he and Milwaukee have nothing but love for her, but not that snake Eddie. He claims Eddie's filling her head with lies. He says he could've really hurt her on Raw but chose not to because they're friends, but not that snake Eddie. He points out he gave Eddie a chance to help her and he chose not to, and the whole world sees he's not good for her. Eddie tells him to mind his own business which prompts Kish to mock him and call him Mucho Burrito. Before he goes he tells Chyna about a friend that works at Playboy HQ, someone in security, who gave him something to show.
Kish leaves as we get security cam footage of Eddie at Playboy HQ in Chicago, being led out by security. He kinda just repeats a lot of the same jealousy talking points as he defends himself. Security understands but repeats he's not getting in, plus points out the magazine's been printed already and coming out Monday. Eddie tries to rush through them but he's lead away. Cut back to the ring and Chyna is all dejected again while Eddie hides his face. Chyna goes to leave, Eddie pulls her back practically begging. She says her heart can't take it anymore. Eddie drops to his knees and says he dies if she leaves, he can't picture a world without her, seeing her smile, laugh, says there's no reason to live without her. Eddie even pulls out a ring and asks her to marry him. Chyna cries but eventually accepts the proposal. I can't tell if I love or hate this storyline anymore, but Eddie and Chyna are so good together.
Kane is backstage getting ready.

Right to Censor vs The Acolytes
We cut to this match already in progress for some reason. Goodfather misses a splash in the corner and eats a clothesline from Farooq, who gets pulled out to the floor by Val Venis, I don't even know what this match is, is it a handicap match? Val whips Farooq into the steps, now Too Cool run out to attack Val. Bull and Goodfather send Bradshaw off the ropes into double shoulder blocks. Bradshaw sent off the ropes, ducks a double clothesline, Goodfather gets tripped up by Too Cool, Bradshaw hits the Clothesline from Hell on Bull for the win. (0:48) I have never been more confused and yet I oddly loved this.
RTC return to the ring with Too Cool. Bull hits a Blue Thunder Bomb on Sexay and Goodfather hits a DVD on Scotty. Dudleyz run out and the Acolytes return to even things out, and this is when we learn the Dudleyz and Acolytes are teaming against RTC at the PPV. Then we get some dancing, they even talk the Acolytes into joining in despite some resistance. We even get a moonwalk and break dancing from Bradshaw. I loved all of this.

Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit & Kane vs The Undertaker, Triple H (w/ Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley) & The Rock (WWF Champion)
Hunter and Benoit start the match with a shoving match off a lockup. Hunter takes it to the corner with rights and boots. Benoit fights out with boots, then sent off the ropes into a high knee. Hunter off the ropes only to be stun gunned. Benoit tags Kane in, Kane grabs him by the throat and Angle somehow defuses things, only to eat a right. Kane is clotheslined to the floor by Hunter who takes Angle to the corner, sends him to the corner, tries a Pedigree but Angle avoids it. Hunter shoves him into the corner, Angle falls face first into Hunter's crotch, but not even like a headbutt, he just slowly falls into it and Hunter retreats and tags Taker in disgusted.
Benoit tags back in and is overpowered into the corner for rights and lefts. Benoit sent across the ring and rebounds into a tilt-a-whirl powerslam for two. Benoit sent of fthe ropes into a big boot and an elbow for two. Taker connects with Old School before dropping Angle from the apron. Kane pulls him down over the top rope allowing Benoit to deliver a German suplex. Taker tied up in the ropes allowing Benoit to deliver boots, then Kane tags in. Kane is still tied up and Kane follows with some rights. Taker delivers a boot to the face and escapes only to run into a big boot. Taker sent off the ropes and hits a DDT.
Rock gets the hot tag with some rights against the ropes, then sent off the ropes into a big boot. Rock sent to the corner for some rights from Kane, then Rock fights back with some of his own. Kane sent off the ropes for a spinebuster, Rock calls for the Elbow only to be clotheslined by Benoit. Kane follows with a powerslam before tagging in Kurt. Kurt on the attack until Rock gets to his feet, only for an Irish whip to be countered with a German for two. Angle with more rights against the ropes, then Rock counters an Irish whip with a belly-to-belly.
Hunter gets the taga and comes in with a right, taking Angle to the corner for boots. Hunter sent to the corner, ducks a clothesline and hits a neckbreaker. Hunter sent off the ropes again and hits a facebuster, covers for Benoit to break up, who also decks Rock on the apron. Rock goes after Benoit and sends him to the floor with rights. Benoit face first off the steps, then Benoit sends him face first off the announce table. Hunter delivers the Pedigree to Angle back in the ring, then Kane gets him with a chokeslam. Taker clotheslines Kane to the floor.
Kane and Benoit fight with Rock up the ramp, Taker returns to the apron, at first asking for a tag, but eventually runs off to make the save for Rock. Referees for some reason run out to break it up even though this is a match. Taker leaves Rock on the ramp and gets on his bike, nearly runs over Rock and just leaves and then Rock leaves. Steph gets on the apron ad Hunter and Kurt trade blows. Referee is distracted. Angle rakes the eyes, then gets whipped into Steph and knocks her from the apron, Angle is concerned and distracted, Hunter rolls Angle up for the win. (9:13) That match was awesome despite how confusing this ending was, why did everyone just decide to say fuck it and leave?
Hunter mocks Angle by celebrating like he would before checking on Steph who enters the ring.. Angle hits Hunter with the Angle Slam then grabs a sledgehammer and nails Hunter in the ribs with them. Angle lays in some boots, Steph spins him around tries to slap him, Angle blocks and lays a big smooch on her. Angle gets a mic and tells Hunter to ask Steph if he kisses like a pansy. He asks Hunter who's crying now before leaving. And that's the end.
